The crystal tiger held its attention on on them but it was hard to look away from Bredret. It felt like it was being challenged by the look in Bredret's eyes. There was something uncomfortable about the way the dragon stared at back at it.
Vorbuk felt as if it was his chance to try and attack the crystal beast as long as Bredret could continue to handle tanking the attacks for them. He was not certain how long the dragon could continue holding out. No time could be spared contemplating over such thoughts. His body began to sink into the shadows beneath his paws until his body completely vanished from sight. A black shadow swiftly moving from one shadow to the next as he tried to get closer to the crystal tiger.
Master.. Ashley thought as he observed Vorbuk's actions closely. Without any instructions given by Vorbuk he could tell the wolf was planning to get involved in fighting the crystal beast.
Climbing down from his horse he paced himself casually towards Bredret. The flashing lights of the lightning above and the light from the attacks the beast sent straight at Bredret gave him no desire to rush. His intention was not to protect the dragon, nor to protect the others, for Ashley the only one he held a desire to protect was his master, Vorbuk. None of the lives of the others were important for him. But if something happened to the one who he held a servant's seal in order to serve.. Ashley did not wish to return to that place once again.
Leo and Daryl quickly got down as they saw Ashley walking over to Bredret. Pulling their swords out as they gave control of the horses over to Zoe. As she guarded their source of transportation everyone else was preparing to take down the beast before them together.
"What are you doing? Do you intend to get in the way? You have no weapon so you should not interfere." Bredret glared over at Ashley with disinterest.
Ashley smiled warmly at Bredret but there was a sense of something cold in his eyes. His lip curling just enough to expose his sharp fang.
"Do not look down on me just because I'm a servant. That is like insulting my master. Just stand there because that's what you're good at~" Ashley mocked the dragon in return.
"You-!!" Bredret watched to retaliate back at Ashley but was cut off by a heavy blast against him sent by the tiger. Crystal coating his body as he forced the crystal to shatter and fall from him once again. His brow twitching slightly as he tried to hold his concentration and ignore the vampire servant.
CRUNCH!
Ashley sunk his sharp fangs into his wrist. Blood poured from the wound as he flung his arm out. His blood extending and taking the form of a large scythe. It had been a long time since he had used his own mana abilities because his capabilities had been magically sealed off until Vorbuk had taken him away from the slave merchants. It gave a strong scent of iron as he spun the large red scythe in his hand.
"You're a blood magic user?!" Daryl and the others all asked in unison from the sudden appearance of the scythe formed from the vampire's blood. The only one who did not display a look of surprise was the crown prince, Leo. He had already known that Ashley was a vampire so the use of blood magic was not something that he found surprising.
It was mana that only those of the vampire race were known to control. They could use their own blood as a weapon or even poison against others. The abilities were difficult to learn even for their own race so few were able to advance very deep into it. More advanced the blood magic was to a vampire the more dangerous they were considered. It was believed that powerful blood magic users could even use their blood as explosives, possess birds, and even learn things about a person by ingesting the blood of another person.
These were things that made the royal family of Drethia, the vampire kingdom, terrifying to the point others rarely visited willingly.
Master, I will make sure you realize just how useful I can be for you~ Ashley thought as he smiled. The smile was not directed at anyone in particular but at the idea of displaying his worth to the one he serves.
Vorbuk could see the others fending off the attacks from the beast. Bredret was able to hold off most of the attacks as they went at the group but the others still had to occasionally block the flying crystalized shards with their own swords. At a glance he could tell that some of the shards if they were not careful were no weaker then a flying bullet back on his home world. If they were to get struck in the wrong place it would become dangerous for them.
[ WARNING! Mana is currently unstable! ]
"What?! Why is my mana acting up?!" Vorbuk felt a slight panic at the sudden warning he got from god's voice. "No! I don't have time to deal with that right now."
There was no way he could stop himself from getting involved in the fight regardless of whether or not his mana was unstable. He had to act before it was too late for everyone there. Vorbuk's body dove straight up into the air behind the crystal tiger as it was in the middle of sending an attack straight for the group. The tiger's ear flicking back as it felt the presence of Vorbuk coming from behind.
The wolf's eyes glowed a bright red. A black mist coming from his body in the pouring rain as his body slowly descended from his leap out of the shadow. The tiger did not have enough time to react to the sudden appearance of the wolf because those in the front were not going to give it time to react properly.
"Dark Blast!" a dark wave shot out from Vorbuk's chest straight at the crystal tiger.
The sudden wave of darkness clashed with the tiger from behind causing it to roar out in pain. It was not enough to kill the beast in one shot. Roaring out in pain it twisted its body around as a bright white light lit the beast from head to toe.
In front of the crystal tiger Bredret exhaled a sea of flames straight at the beast. Vorbuk quickly jumped out of the way as he glanced back to look for another opportunity to attack the tiger. The flames made it difficult to get close. His eyes flicking over in the direction to check on the others when he caught sight of Ashley spinning his scythe and dashing straight towards the crystal tiger.
The flames that Bredret had sent at the beast were slowly being spun around by the scythe as Ashley took advantage of the flames of the dragon. Using his own ability in order to direct the flames under his own control. As they were sent out his scythe cut through and pushed the flames about the air as he moved in order to keep himself from burning. His own scythe's sharp blade blazing wildly from the fire as it swung straight towards the beast.
