THE JAMES FAMILY

"F*ck!" back in the compound of the hotel, the scholarly man who previously arrived in a black van which crashed into the walls of the compound cursed with an indignant expression on his face.

Right now, everyone who attended the hotel's grand opening ceremony could be seen tied up right in front of the scholar who is comfortable seated. Even Drake and four aged men which Hutton discovered them when he first arrived at the compound are all tied up.

"You won't get away with this!!" Drake said with a furious expression on his face. On his day of his grand hotel opening, a bunch of people suddenly crashed into it and ruined it. Right now he could be more furious.

"Will you shut the fuck up!!?" But the scholar didn't seem to care as he rose up from his chair and kicked Drake right in his left cheek while exclaiming with a fuming expression.

Bang!

"Young master!"

"Mr. Drake"

Although the impact of the the kick made Drake to lose a few tooth's, he wasn't even fazed by it as he stared back at the scholar with bloodshot eyes.

"Boss, it looks like the police are arriving to this place" a ninja suddenly spoke up right after dashing into the compund and stood behind the scholar.

After being silent for a few moments, the scholar finally spoke in gritted teeths "Let's leave. Besides, they have escaped and these people here can't help us achieve our goal so there is no point staying here"

"Boss we are ready to recieve any punishment you give us for our failure" The two ninjas who previously passed out due to Hutton's kicks said together with lowered heads.

"Oh you guys will definitely get your punishment, but that will be when we get back so let's go" the scholar said a cold and and indifferent voice as he unhurriedly got into the black van along with 4 four black ninjas.

As soon as the ninjas got into the van, the van quickly started it's engine and left drove out of the place. A few moments later, a police could be heard from the compound entrance as police men rushed into the compound.

"... Thank you ..." back in the blue colored Porsche car Hutton and Vivian escaped with, the later suddenly spoke up in a soft tone.

"You don't have to thank me, am being paid to do something like this so I had to do it" Hutton said in a rather calm manner.

"So you are saying you will simply abandon me just like you did with the others in the hotel's compound and escape that area?" Vivian suddenly asked with a slightly tensed voice.

"Precisely" Failed in noticing the tone Vivian used to ask him the question, Hutton answered almost instantly in a straight tone.

"Urgh..." Vivian suddenly became dizzy due to her mind and heart slightly shuddered as she nearly slanted her head towards Hutton.

"Huh? Mrs. Vivian? Are you ok?" Hutton quickly asked after noticing how Vivian looks muddle headed but the lady couldn't be able to answer him as she cursed in her mind

'How can a human being be so heartless!?'

But she didn't know that the Hutton before her is actually a military commander who is currently having extreme trust issues. Apart from Veronica whom he could struggle to trust her, he didn't trust the rest of the people he knew at all.

Although Kenneth might have admiration for him and is awe struck by his strength, he didn't know if this Kenneth will turn his back against him right as soon as he guides Kenneth into the Grandmaster rank.

"I never knew a man can be so heartless" it seems she couldn't keep it within herself for long as she slowly muttered. When Hutton heard her, he fell silent for some seconds before saying.

"If you know what I went through in my life, you would have even done more worst than me"

But Vivian didn't seem to care as she silently looked out the window beside her with an indifferent look on her face. As for Hutton, he didn't seem to care either by her silence as he quietly drove the car.

Night is fastly approaching and the road lights were switched on which brought a unique charm i the city. While Hutton is driving Vivian to the Mayor's office, Vivian suddenly had a phone call in which the ringtone rang out in the car.

"Hello dad, you don't have to worry, am currently close to the office with Hutton driving me" After seeing the name of the caller is actually her dad, she immediately picked up her call and explained her situation straight away.

"Am sorry lady but your precious dad is currently unavailable" a deep gloomy voice suddenly rang out from the phone. When Vivian heard this voice, her expression quickly became grave as she exclaimed.

"Where is my Dad!?"

'It seems like something has happened in the Mayor's office' Hutton thought grimly as he noticed Vivian grave expression over the phone.

"Sssh! You don't have to be so loud little lady. I want you to kindly give the phone to the one named Hutton you said earlier" The gloomy voice said in a amused tone. Although Vivian wasn't willing, she had no choice but to give him the phone since he was her only hop now.

"Hutton.... Someone wants to speak with you" Vivian said while stretching the hand which the phone is in towards Hutton.

After parking the car at the roadside, Hutton quickly took the phone and answered in an indifferent tone.

"Who is this?"

"If you don't want to live a long life in this earth, kindly bring that bitch to the abandoned building next to the Cornerstone museum. You don't have to worry since I will reward you heavily if you do so" the gloomy voice quickly spoke up in a threatening tone.

When Hutton heard this threat, he suddenly chuckled in a rather cold manner as he said "I can't believe I experienced this here too"

"What do you mean by that?" The gloomy voice spoke up in a confused tone.

"What I mean is you have just signed your death contract with the devil" Hutton suddenly said in a deep voice while having a never before seen expression on his face. But when Vivian saw this expression, she immediately shuddered with a frightening look on her face.

There is a part of Hutton past life that he didn't want to remember but the owner of the gloomy voice at the phone just made him remember.

What he remembered is during when he got his first achievement in the military by finding out a spy of the country's enemy country, a renowned and weathy family called the James family mercilessly slaughtered his parents and only brother in a fit of rage.

Coincidentally, how the owner of the gloomy voice in Vivian's phone threatened was very similar to how the James family used to threatened him to keep his mouth shut about the spy.

During his past life, he swore to annihilate the James family even if he has to die to do so. But due to the dark secrets that were brewing beneath the military and the incoming World War approaching, he never could do so.

Right after saying that to the gloomy voice owner, he quickly ended the call and gave the phone to Vivian.

"Why are you changing route?" Vivian asked after seeing Hutton taking another route which obviously wasn't leading to the Mayor's office.

"Am taking you to my house. Currently, neither the Mayor's office nor where you live is now safe due to your Dad's situation. So am making you wait in the my house while I deal with it"

"You are going to deal with it?" Vivian quickly asked with glittering eyes.

"Is there anyone who can handle this, I doubt the police can" Hutton said while rolling his eyes.

"That's true" Vivian said while giggling. When Hutton saw this, he immediately became bewildered.

'Why is she in a good mood when she just find out her Dad is currently in danger?'

But after trying to figure out why for some moments, he suddenly smiled while shaking his head as he thought.

'This lady... Well it's all good since my leg can handle me using a fraction of my internal force'
