Finding a new path

Wow, I slept really well for what happened just yesterday. I mean, to be fair, it was mostly a mental thing, and apparently, you sleep very well when you don't have thoughts to mess you up.

Anyway, the acid centipedes quest is a dead end. Perhaps I wouldn't have even considered this quest if Jeremy hadn't screwed me over. Speaking of, Jeremy, show me my status.

Oh wow. I forgot just how weak I am. Though my mp has increased by five since I last checked. I mean seriously, beyond that I haven't improved in a while. Ever since I learned endure I've had zero life matter and... oh one skill point! Well, that feels pretty good at least. Still, that doesn't address the problem of life matter. I haven't been hungry, don't ask me why, but I don't know when I will be, and life matter is in little supply apparently.

So, I have to get some life matter stock, and I can't kill the acid centipedes for fear of the overlord guy who had a stick up his ass. He was so kind as to let me go, yeah right! And since when did I worship him! I was just dancing...

Life matter David. Life matter. And preferably how to get a stable supply of it. ugh, is there anywhere I already know of? I don't want to go exploring... Oh well. It seems there is no helping it, I'll just have to find some new 'friends' hehe. Let's see, my house has been missing a back door...

With a plan of action in mind, I get to work, tunneling a new door out of my house and just generally searching. I make sure I don't go in the direction of any of my other paths, especially the one to the expanse.

I tunnel and tunnel, spending what seems like forever just checking out bits and pieces of larger tunnels, finding basically no presence of food, or more acid centipedes. I swear they seem to rule this area. I can't even get away from them when I try!

As I'm tunneling, I burrow out into a larger area, and at first glance, it seems pretty deserted, but a closer look shows evidence of something running through here. I investigate, praying it isn't some weird variant of acid centipede. And then I spot it.

A faint shadow appears in front of me, quite far away and barely visible. It seems distracted, so I warily close in. Is that a...

scorpion? With two tails? Huh. It is kinda biiig. With all 'i's being necessary. This thing is massive, but only in proportion to the somewhat small acid centipedes. Well, I think this'll do nicely...
