"we do in mine"

She whispered, her voice breaking with the weight of her words, "I can't stop loving you. I've tried." Her heart felt like a battleground, torn between the love she couldn't let go of and the pain that clung to her like a relentless shadow.

"I know the ending," he replied, his voice tinged with sorrow. "We don't make it." He bore the burden of foresight, aware of the inevitable heartache that awaited them.

"That's your story," she retorted, her voice shaking with defiance. "We do in mine." In her heart, she clung to a thread of hope, refusing to accept the fate that loomed before them.

He struggled to maintain composure, but his resolve wavered. "You're holding onto someone who can't hold you back," he confessed, his heart heavy with the knowledge of his own limitations.

"Hold me in your heart, if it's possible," she pleaded, her vulnerability laid bare before him. She wanted him to cherish their love, even if it meant holding onto mere fragments of what once was.

"I do. You know that," he said, trying to remain steadfast. "I'm trying to save you from heartbreak." He believed his sacrifice would spare her from the depths of pain their love might bring.

"But you're breaking my heart right now," she cried, her voice cracking as tears spilled over. The very act of saving her was inflicting wounds that cut to the core of her being.

"I'm saving you," he reiterated, his voice heavy with sadness. In his mind, the pain he caused now would pale in comparison to the pain she might endure later.

"Don't give up on us!" she implored, clutching at the fraying edges of their love, desperately hoping he would hold on.

"The world we live in, we can't be together," he whispered, the agony evident in his words. "When I die, you die. It's tragic." The truth was a harsh reality they couldn't escape.

"Then we'll be two tragic lovers," she declared, her voice filled with determination. "I'll love you till the end." Even if their love came at a cost, she was willing to bear it.

"I want you to live your best life," he said, his voice trembling with sincerity. "I love you more than air." He wished for her happiness, even if it meant sacrificing their love.

"Then just love me! Stop killing me piece by piece," she pleaded, her heart breaking with each passing moment.

"Today kills me. Knowing what tomorrow brings," he confessed, the pain etched across his face as he battled between love and letting go.

"Let's start over. Let's pretend there is no tomorrow. Today is all we have," she suggested, her voice quivering with desperation, yearning to savor the fleeting moments they had left.

"No. Love is all we have," he said, his voice a mixture of sorrow and tenderness. Love was their lifeline, the only thing that truly bound them together.

"It's all we need," she whispered, holding onto the belief that love could conquer even the deepest pain. Their hearts may break, but in the depths of their souls, love would endure, an eternal reminder of the exquisite agony of their tragic love.
