Chapter 0: First Contact I

Boom—

Bang! 

Crash—!

A single figure crashed seemingly speed of light into the earth, gouging a fragment of the planet.

Crack——!

Kiara felt her bones breaking. She felt the burning sensation of molten rocks, and the freezing cold of the absolute tundra. Such is the godly monster before her. A figure that compared hundreds of mountains to ants, such is the god of earth. Thousands of hundreds of impenetrable scales. A gaze that looked upon the very essence of her being. 

The god of nature. A dragon. 

Mountains turned. Oceans frozen. Trees burned. Every single living creature in the earth, is dying. Only two remained. A human and a dragon. A mortal and a god. 

The mortal felt her body crumbling-disintegrating into particles of mana. The highest state that a human could be-achieved by destruction. Kiara felt her world turn upside down. Literally and figuratively. The lost legend that carried the hope of the world, such is the body of mana before her very eyes. 

Her eyes followed the floating particles of mana, only to be greeted by a single slit that enveloped her whole vision. The eye of the dragon. Inside those eyes she saw a whole world indescribable by words.

A human dared to stare into a dragon's eye?

The known world around Kiara distorted, wrapped, crumpled into one piece of paper. She felt her limbs being twisted and turned into one point, grinding on her broken consciousness. 

In the end, only a piece of soul that could be said a consciousness was left of her awareness. A perception that survived to see the next step of transformation. 

That one black point was dyed white, unfurling it's greatness. The void was warped into nothingness, expanding into beyond distance. Space existed now, giving solace to the broken spirit that is Kiara. What was left was only a white expanse, reaching into infinity. 

Faint as it was, Kiara's consciousness was still there, alive and aware of her surroundings. She wondered, asking herself what words could describe what she was seeing now. Vocabulary wasn't in her vocabulary. She could only 'say' what was on her mind in such a simple word. 

Impossible. 

Such a word took root in her mind, but the reality denied it's existence in the first place. The inevitability of this place shattered her view on the world. 

Kiara's consciousness took on a form of a silhouette, a former of her glory. She gawked at the sight of her shadowy figure, in disbelief of her predicament.

What is happening? Kiara wondered. 

Just by then, ear-splitting thunders echoed the whole 'realm'. Kiara could feel her whole 'body' shaking, fragmenting into smaller pieces. She could only stare at the disintegrating hand floating in space. Her broken soul, gouged again without any resistance. Her silhouette felled from a meter, to a centimeter. 

Opposite to her diminishing body, starlight gathered. Thousands of millions of magic particles rose to form a gigantic figure. Once it formed, space itself folded into the outline of the figure, slowly filling the contour. 

The whole 'realm' shook. 

Thunderstorms, Floods, Supernovas, Earthquakes, Sandstorms, Firestorms, Terraforms, Space cracks… Thousands of hundreds of phenomena dawned on the space.

Kiara stared, dumbfounded.
