The New Ranker

YEAR: 2161

LOCATION: Tenny's Apartment, Advanced Territory, Beginner's Boys quarters, Orion.

"What of it?" Tenny asked casually.

"As I have said already, now that I have assumed 5th place in the Beginner Rankings, I have already set things in motion. it's a little sooner than I originally planned, but that's fine too." Darey said.

He turned to Amaya and spoke.

"I'll be required to attend tomorrow's Ranker's Meeting in your place"

Amaya realized this and nodded.

"However, I would really appreciate it if we went together" Darey said.

"T-Together?" Amaya asked, confused as to why Darey would suggest that.

"I won the Rank Match between the two of us, officially making me take your place. However, I recon that some of the Rankers won't be pleased that the bottom of the barrel became a Ranker overnight." Darey said.

"True..." Amaya said thoughtfully.
