Chapter 1: Back to the Past

In the Secret Military base, a person wearing a black hood is laughing wickedly in the middle of numerous dead burned corpses.

"Muhahhahahah!"

As the hooded-man laughed madly, a young soldier are staring not far away from the hooded-man while holding something in his back. He holds a switch with a red button on it.

The hooded man stop his laugh then glance at the surviving soldiers, he sneered, and said to him with a tone of mockery, "Now, can you tell where the other shelter is?"

The hooded-man asked the soldiers that hold something on his back which he knows but his confidant in his ability as he walked slowly toward him like an elder walking peacefully.

Getting closer to the soldiers, the hooded-man summons fire from his palm then aims it towards the young soldier while saying impatiently, "Tell me or else I kill you painfully."

Hearing the question from the hooded man, the soldier taunts him, "Just get it over with." While griping the switch.

The young soldier taunts the hooded man because he needed to get closer to him. So that the hooded-man can't use magic to block him.

Yes, the hooded-man is a magician that specializes in fire although he uses other elements, It's weak than the others. So, the young soldier is confident that he can kill the magician with the highly exploded bomb on his chest.

As for why he put the bomb on his chest. Well, he wants to die with a style while bringing the invader to the afterlife with him.

As expected, the hooded man uncommon the fire from his palm. After that, he uses a basic spell: Earth rock which the soldier gets flung backward while destroying the wall behind him two times.

The young soldier lay down looking at the ceiling, spatting a mouthful of blood but he need to hold himself back to not lose consciousness because he needed to bring that bastard to the afterlife with him.

The hooded man walked slowly then appeared before the laying young soldier while showing a pained expression.

The hooded man gets closer to the young soldier then crouches down. The next moment, he summons the fire once again from his palm before asking the young soldier below impatiently.

"Since you don't tell the location of the other shelter, now die painfully with my fire."

The hooded-man said proudly as if you should feel honored that you die from his flame.

Even though he controls the fire without a problem. His mana is insufficient right now. So, he can only summon a small fireball that has the size soccer ball.

Hearing the hooded-man question, the young soldier hesitate for a second before saying with fear in his voice, "Okay....okay, I tell you the location of the other shelter but do me a favor?

Hearing the soldier's words, the hooded-man grinned because he successfully scared the poor soldier. Well, he has to do it although he hates to waste time.

"Okay, what favor?"

The soldier smiled then launched himself to hug the hooded man. Successfully hugging the man, he then shouts at him.

"To die with me!"

The soldier clicks the red button from his hands to activate the bomb on his chest to do the famous suicide attack.

The hooded man pierce the young soldier with his hands then sneered before saying, "Do you think a grenade can do damage to me?"

He thought that the item the soldier holding at the back the whole time is a grenade but he never thought the answer from the soldier would make his blood freeze.

"Unfortunately to disappoint you, but this is a bomb."

Although, the hooded-man can destroy a tank he still needs to be careful to not be hit because his other fellow teammate dies from it while most of them are weak than the others that will arrive later.

If they failed or take too long to destroy the military across the world before destroying the society which they destroy before because they thought they eliminated all military force but the military hide carefully while planning something to counterattack them.

Unfortunately, a soldier tells the invader the location of the secret military base to join the invader because he wants power like them, no matter what the price, and he didn't feel attached to this world which leads him to tell the location which leads mankind to be erased.

The hooded man tried to push away the soldier from his body but it was too late as the soldier activate it before he hugged the hooded man.

The hooded-man eye flashed horror then a loud sound echoed around the destroyed military base.

Boom!!

After that sound, a big crater was created while the floor are cracked like a spider-web.

On the big crater remained a cracked sword that was about to be destroyed while the hooded-man upper body disappear due to the explosion as for the soldier's body. Well, it's disappeared completely because he's just an ordinary person than the hooded man who wields supernatural powers.

In the bedroom, a young man who looks like 18 years old is sleeping peacefully. Suddenly, he open his eye in confusion then sat down from the bed to look at his surroundings his confusion grow higher.

As for who this young man is. It's Ethan A. Douglass who dies together with the magician hooded-man by activating the highly exploded bomb on his chest.

But most importantly, he should die right now or go to heaven or hell or the cliche void where he sees a God that would give him 3 wishes but it never happens because he is currently in his old room that should be destroyed from the attacks of transmigrator or known as an invader.

If not the 3 choices above then he can only have this kind of conclusion.

Ethan questioned but he didn't get an answer, "So, I came back from the past huh?"

Although it's a good thing that he came back from the past. He can't still stop the invader from doing mass genocide like a certain purple potato but different because they erased the inhabitants by telling the government or worst he will get treated crazy instead.

As he pondered what to do about the issue called invader. Suddenly, a blue screen appeared before him with content on it.

[Look at your phone]

Ethan gets surprised by the blue screen appearing suddenly then calmed himself by taking a deep breath while doing the instructions issued by the screen right in front of him.

"What do possibly be in my phone?"

Ethan takes his phone from the pillow where he usually puts it if he sleeps. Of course, it's charged with connecting to his side not far away from the bed.

He turns on the phone to see a message that will change his life.
