LIGHT'S POV:-

"There are a few more questions I need to ask you," I speak to her in a serious voice.

She is staring at me looking like she just wants to get over with it.

Not wasting anymore time, I start asking the questions.

Morpheus: How come you are sane right now? If what I am thinking is correct then what my otherselves had done to you, it should have been horrible enough to make you go insane.

'Honestly, with the possibilities of what I am capable of doing, I doubt even I can survive that kind of pain and still stay sane.'

Unia: Whenever I return to the past after being killed, my emotions of the past take over me. Even if I am on the verge of collapse, going back to a moment where I was happy will turn my emotions into one of happiness.

'That's...really helpful. Just how powerful her cheat is?'

Morpheus: What's the difference between Mana and devil energy? You guys could previously use devil energy, couldn't you? So how come you were making such an astonishing face after I drew the circle?

Unia: We couldn't use Mana. We could only disguise ourselves with mana on the outside. Although, it helped in keeping the Devil energy in control. In the end, we could only use devil energy for practical purposes while covering ourselves with Mana.

'Then, seriously? What about Lucifer? Why can he use Mana?'

Morpheus: Why were you sent to Eslaine and not any other Supreme Devil? I mean you are too important for something as minor as this, aren't you?

'Yeah, why were you here? It almost cost my brothers' lives there...or maybe it really did?'

Unia: A few of Devils just failed a mission a month ago and the kids were lost. Two Supreme Devils were killed in that mission. Lord Ladros didn't want to take any chances in this mission, so he sent me here for backup.

'That story seems similar to the one I heard from Aria.'

Morpheus: Ummm...Are the names of the Devils that died...Hell Creeper and Orion?

Unia: Huh? How did you know?

'Sigh...I should really consider my actions more thoroughly from now on...'

Morpheus: Haha...so many chain reactions...sigh...it makes me wanna kill everyone who is against me but I can't really do that, can I? In any case, next question, why are you working for Ladros?

Unia:...

'She too, huh? That bastard Ladros sure is a tricky one.'

Morpheus: Ah forget it! Let me ask this then, will you work for me? I'll help you kill Ladros. From your expression, at least it is clear that you don't like him at all. So what do you say?

'She is observing me...she doesn't trust me completely. Well, considering what my otherselves did, it is normal to have doubt. Or maybe the fact she is just doubting and not hating me should be abnormal...right?'

Unia: Are you going to bind me too?

'Is that what's she worried about? Her priorities aren't in the correct order, are they? Or her circumstances are way more dire than I can normally anticipate.'

Morpheus: The binding is only for the safety of my family and friends. Other than that you are basically free. Plus it's more of a deal if you remove the 'If you kill my family and die' part.

'Don't want her to go on a revenge rampage now, do we?'

Unia: Do I have a choice?

'What choices should I give her?...or do I need to? Not really.'

Morpheus: Of course you don't. After what you did or what you were going to do, these precautions are necessary. Well, to be honest, I don't like to bind people. If I had a choice I might as well help you for free, but really I don't have one here.

'It feels bad when I look at her face. How should I say it...she is too lonely... Just what happened to her?'

Unia: Do something that will make me trust you. Something that will make me believe that you won't betray me as Ladros did.

'A chance, huh. Let's not rush it and build our trust slowly. If everything works correctly I should be able to get her on my side.'

Morpheus: All right. Then we shall do that. But, not now. I will do that before this year ends. After that, you can make a decision, okay?

Unia: Okay, Aether.

'Ah! Gotta do something about this too.'

Morpheus: Don't call me that. It's an order. Call me Morpheus...no, call me Leader from now on.

'Yup, if I am going to make her one of my own, it should be fine letting her call me that.'

Unia:...

'Hmmm? Why is she looking away? Is that a smile on her face? Is she mocking me?'

Morpheus: Hey! Look at me, why did you turn your head?

Unia: Okay...Morpheus.

'Oi! Oi! It's not that bad.'

Morpheus: Seriously, aah. All right, next question, how many people know about your ability?

Unia: Currently only you.

'Only me?'

Morpheus: Ladros?

Unia: He doesn't know.

'So it's like that, huh?'

Morpheus: Can you tell me about the Origin of your ability.

'That's what I am most curious about right now. If I can make that ability mine, I will achieve one of the three final goals to reach back home.'

Unia: I was born with it. Ladros said that he picked me up from the Forgotten Dungeon.

'Forgotten dungeon, huh. Isn't that in Dragon's Nest?'

Morpheus: Hmmm...that makes things a bit complicated. Anyway, I have a small favour to ask you. In return, I'll let you go free until we meet again.

'Binding her close to me for a long period will create more troubles. But let's just use her to protect Eslaine for the time being.'

Unia: Hmmm...Okay....also, I have a question too.

'Now, what could that be?'

Morpheus: Ask.

Unia: What are you? Your past selves were anything but humble...watching them sent chills down my spine. The present you is...like light. Approachable, friendly, naive and kind. If going only by the physical appearance, you are just an innocent child born within this decade. Which one of these are you?

'Which one of them am I, huh? Well, if I were to answer truthfully then...'

Morpheus: None of them I guess. My true self belongs to only two people.

'Well, that ends the question answer session. Let's call the others back'

Looking at her, she seems to be pondering over my answer.

Soon I call the others back.

Kaneto wakes up glaring at me but then sighs as he looks at Unia, standing aloof at a distance from us.

"Unia, you said that they will attack by the evening right?" I ask her loudly so that everyone can hear.

"Yeah, exactly 3 hours from now," she answers with a nod.

".."

".."

The others are shocked as usual.

'How many times has it been now? It's not good for their health, is it? Maybe I should be more cautious from now on.'

We then start moving...running as fast as we can towards Eslaine.

Leraye took Leleina in his hands.

Kaneto took the other Pixies.

I took the Pixie Queen with me.

I talk with Aria about a few other miscellaneous details and then leave towards Eslaine.

'Well, if this goes perfectly, maybe we can reach closer to our goal before the planned date,' a smile forms on my face as I think of the future.
