288 (288) South Gate

Zolis watched from the South Gate. The Direwolves stood behind the gate, waiting, while the remaining members of Hulk and Geth's parties stood on the ramparts.

Swole had returned a few minutes earlier with the young man in tow. He carried a troubled expression, but he no longer looked to harbor the hatred from before.

It had taken the young man this long to gather the courage to walk over to Zolis. To her surprise, he dropped to his knees before her and clasped his hands together as if he were praying.

"Please forgive my earlier rudeness," He begged. "This place is nothing like the stories we were told. I never realized..."

Zolis interrupted him, "Yes, yes, quit your groveling. We know that the people giving you orders are slaves and have no other choice. Step to the side. Now isn't the time."
