(272) Fast Forward

Ro-Zek, Kaju-Zek, and Kendra left the town the following morning after the Slime said his goodbyes to the blacksmith. Stanvil had a pleasant surprise prepared for the young man. 

"I can't believe he gave you that for free," Kaju sighed. "Some guys have all the luck. First, you get the girl, then an enchanted piece of armor... What's next? Gonna find a sack of coins on the side of the road?"

Ro-Jek held up his arm and looked at the vambrace the old blacksmith had given him. It was made from a white metal that he hadn't heard of and was covered with Runes.

"You're just jealous!" Kendra stuck her tongue out at the Dark Elf while gripping Ro-Jek's other hand tighter.

Kaju rolled his eyes, "Think what you want. By the way, did Dorf tell you where he would be waiting for us?"

"Dorf?" Ro-Jek asked.

"He's our other party member that I told you about yesterday," Kendra explained. "He said he'd be waiting for us at the border town."
