HAKAN'S POV.

I got to the office in a matter of minutes, took the elevator to the last floor and sped to my office. I was met halfway through the hallway by my secretary; Michael. He was looking elated.

"Spill, Mike."

I said walking toward my office door.

"Boss, I don't know who that woman is, or where you found her but she doesn't run on human specs."

He rattled.

"Explain."

"She sorted a month's worth of files in forty minutes and was actually able to sit in a meeting with Dr Guevello— our partner in the 'heart to heart' charity project. And I tell you. The grump of a man left with a freaking smile on his face."

He was in full-on girl mode at this point. Michael was just amusing.

"Oh, you mean the hard-to-please multimillionaire cardiologist?"

I asked.

"The one and only. Plus, she was able to get us to schedule a meeting with Morozov Tech & Automobiles. The rumoured iron wall. The literal island!"

I froze. He nodded

"Impossible!"

I couldn't freaking believe it. What the hell did she tell them?!

"That's what I said!"

I entered my office and walked to my desk. I looked at the neatly arranged files and skimmed through them. This was too meticulous! How the hell was this done in forty minutes? Worker's files, project proposals arranged in order of date, importance and field. Fuck.

"Mike, scan the project proposals ASAP and get in contact with project heads from the various departments. While you're at it schedule meeting dates for proposal presentations and give Gaia the position of my co-chair."

"Yes sir."

I was in full-on work mode. At this point, I didn't care that I disliked her. I just needed the results she could bring. And her surprising genius that made her valedictorian and gave her a first-class certificate. Damn, if I used her well we'd be feeding the media six-course meals every day. The ~bitch~ was worth something after all.

"While you're at it, get Gaia up here. You're dismissed."

"Yes, sir."

Mike sashayed out of my office. I sat at my desk reviewing new letters and a bulky contract that had come in today from the 'heart to heart' charity project. So many unnecessary terms and god-damned conditions in my opinion for a five-year-long project. We were providing close to seventy percent of the funds. Why on earth?!

I picked up my phone just as Gaia walked in. My alarm also went off. Shit! It was time to have lunch with father and Gaia. I got off my chair, plucked my coat from the rack and put it on.

"Let's go. We're having lunch with father."

I informed her. We took the elevator downstairs and got in the car. The chauffeur drove us to one of dad's least hated Italian restaurants in the city.

Casa Del Cibo. It lived up to its name; a literal house of food. We got to the reception and were ushered to our reservation. Dad sat, a glass of whiskey in one hand and his phone in the other.

THIRD PERSON POV.

Gustav Mojéleno, a straight-laced no-nonsense, filthy rich man. He was a snake-like man. This seventy-five-year-old looked no younger than forty-five. He was as misogynist as an orthodox man his age could be without looking it. Flooding his suite with exotic women every Thursday morning and Friday night. He was a wild one. A fierce and wicked former Alpha who had the appearance of a kind and understanding king. It was all bull really. He was just making use of one of the laws he lived by. Conceal your intentions; creating a smokescreen every now and then to trick and manipulate those closest to him. His biggest and dumbest victim so far was his son. The idiot. A contract marriage of five years that helped both parties? To hell with it. The old snake had painted a bigger picture, a daunting one. His plans didn't lie in an alliance that sought to bring back faded glory but one that sought to steal, kill and destroy. He was in fact the devil incarnate.

He watched as the newlyweds sat across from him in the private booth and nodded in acknowledgement of their presence. His daughter-in-law flashed him a perfect smile.

Goodness, she was gorgeous! His perverted wolf stated. If she wasn't married to his son he'd consider having her himself. And then there was his son; the pretty face and his ultimate pawn.

No sooner, the waiter walked up to them and asked them for their orders.

"I'll be having a Bice Tagliolini Pasta with Lobster & Truffles."

He said politely flashing the textbook definition of a white-toothed grin.

"Two servings of lasagne alla bolognese and a bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac please."

Hakan informed. The waiter nodded and proceeded to the kitchen.

"So, how's it going with the missus boy?"

He teased. Hakan cleared his throat, as a signal for him not to poke any further. He complied. For the time being.

The wait was about ten minutes long. Two waiters came in with three trays and their overpriced and overaged bottle of French pretentiousness. Gaia looked down at her plate. She didn't particularly hate the food but it wasn't up her alley either. Simply put. She wasn't a fan. It just reminded her of the one person she'd never want to remember. Good God, she was trying; trying not to barf and disgrace herself and her husband. She also had to keep her darned pheromones in check. They were never in check. But no one knew that. No one had to know. Oh, damn it! Just this morning at the office she had wanted to flip Hakan's assistant over his desk and give him a good spanking. The man was all over the place, she didn't know if he was trying to imitate Joan Smalls or Lui Wen but with a little more practice and way less stiffness in his hips and might get there.

Good God that was besides the point. She needed to eat this food and act like she liked it. Fair enough. She was gonna have to shove it like the badass she was and vomit it later. She picked up her fork, gently, with the grace that had been shoved up her nose several times. Picked up her knife as well, slowly but steadily. Cut through the soft and almost if not gooey nightmare. Took a bite and let the flavours sink slowly onto her poor tongue and then slowly but surely masticated what she could and swallowed as normally as she could. She could see her father-in-law's gaze on her and she could smell her husband's feint yet strong pheromones emanating pure rage. Oh boy, what was it this time? Only God knew how she hated eating Italian, now she had to deal with these two all afternoon? She internally sighed.

"Father, why are you staring so much?" Her husband finally spoke.

"Nothing really, I'm just shocked you married at all. Talk less of it being a woman."

The man explained. Gaia paused. She visibly paused. The two men noticed this. Her husband flinched and his father giggled. Wait, wait, what? Was her father-in-law implying that? Her husband was? So was that why they got? She immediately stopped her spiralling thoughts. Maintaining her composure on the outside she continued her meal.

"Father."

He warned.

"Oh don't pretend son. I was ready to accept it. I mean, it's  2022. That's what fathers are doing these days, isn't it? Allowing their sons to 'come out of the closet' and 'be who they are 'He sang a line from the pride song. "It's no big deal."

He said in a mockingly dismissive tone.

Hakan was now full-on choking on his food. He quickly took his glass of wine and gulped it down. Trying his possible best but failing at stilling himself. His intense pheromones filled the room. Had they not been in a private booth secluded from the rest of the establishment, numerous people would have been knocked out clean. Gaia held her breath. Though her eyes were getting watery and her sight was all fuzzy from the unrealistic intensity of the pheromones, she sat still. The very sensation in the room was terrifying. She felt her entire body tremble and the hairs on the back of her neck stood for their dear lives. Good god why?! She looked to her father-in-law, the man didn't seem fazed at all. Was she the one who was going to have to still the raging Alpha? But she had been told time and time again that her pheromones were far too intoxicating to be used on the average werewolf. She sighed and started breathing again. Boy, this was hard! She closed her eyes and thought of calming things. Letting her calm emanate off her in waves. She opened her eyes, her father-in-law could barely keep his eyes open. Her husband on the other hand was as still as a rock. He was no longer releasing pheromones. Phew, that was a close one.

"Are you two alright?"

She asked out of decorum. Cause that's all she'd ever known, decorum.

Gustav threw two brown envelopes on the table, Hakan grabbed them almost immediately. What was this? A drug deal? She wondered.

"Oh and be sure to pop those pups soon." Her father-in-law said.

Her husband stood from the table, ignoring all table etiquette.

"We're leaving."

He said in a low and almost sad voice. It made her wonder, what was there to be sad about?

She excused herself from the table and followed her Alpha. She could feel his anger boiling onto the surface once more.

They got into the limo. The ride home was a silent one. Immediately he closed the door to the living room, he held her by the hair and dragged her upstairs.

For the first time in her entire life, she had never wanted to uppercut anyone more. She was so particular about her hair, so for him to pull it as if he wanted to tear off her scalp, irritated her so much. She hated the feeling. Having to feel. She felt so...vulnerable. No. That wasn't right. Did she feel?. He was irritated and why? Only he knew but for now, she was his ' punching bag' and he had to find a way to release his frustration so he forcefully had his way with her.

Gaia had gone numb. She couldn't move, she didn't dare breathe too hard or even too softly. Her back ached, her legs were weak, and her eyes had reddened from crying for about two and a half hours straight. That's how long it had been. For the Alpha, while doing the deed time moved quite quickly. But for Gaia, it wasn't so. She felt every thrust; painfully. She felt her insides scream at her with every movement. The mental pressure from the pain was maddening. She had gone into artificially induced mania once more and before her mother or father-in-law mentioned it again, she had made up her mind. She was going to do it. And it was going to work. And luckily for her, that bastard of an Alpha had in his 'cumming high' spilt some of his seed into her birth canal. But she needed more of it. And more of it could be found in her arse. She slowly but agonizingly lifted herself—her palm over her throbbing and swollen anus, making sure none of it spilt onto the bed.

She felt the warm thick liquid connect with her palms. She patiently waited as it all spilt onto her hand and when she was satisfied with its overall weight, she took away her cupped palm and turned, lying on her back, slowly but surely and when she was on her back with legs apart she poured his essence into herself sparing none of it.

She knew without a doubt that she didn't need to be in heat to get pregnant, although heat period doubled those chances, she had majored in werewolf biology in college for this very purpose and she knew exactly how to get the results she wanted. With the knowledge that she was ovulating and perfectly healthy. She lay there in absolute pain with a maniacal smile plastered across her face.  If she was going to be stuck in this bed. She might as well get some sleep before some slaughter.

*******

The Alpha was being eaten up by his guilt. His wolf had scolded him and gone completely silent. He couldn't feel his wolf at all. As he drove to his secretary's house in the dead of the night in his Mercedes-Maybach S650. He was feeling unimaginable amounts of anxiety and dread. He had only felt this way when he was fourteen; he'd been caught doing the deed with his boyfriend by his dad. That was over fifteen years ago. But the memory was vivid. His loving dad had looked at him like he was a piece of low-quality beef bought from a convenience store in a low-income neighbourhood. His father's contorted facial features showed nothing but absolute disgust and disappointment, the way he'd looked down at him with a homophobic sneer—if that was even a thing. These things were so vivid in his mind. He was okay with being gay, with being himself but with every passing day, he was reminded how much of a disappointment his sexual orientation and his existence was to his father and mother (respectively). He'd been doing just fine, sucking all in and indulging his tastes behind the scenes while pretending to be someone he wasn't when people were watching. It was so hard being him. But he was him regardless. And although he hated admitting it. He could understand why he disliked Gaia so much. She reminded him of himself from time to time.

He stopped his car in the middle of the road, laying his head on the steering wheel. He needed to calm down. He needed to fucking relax. Things were happening too quickly too fast. It wasn't healthy. He stayed in that position for the next ten minutes before getting his phone and calling his beta. She picked up immediately.

"Alpha." She greeted from the other end of the line.

"Eloise. Get into my suite and ask your Luna for," he paused. Thinking to before he had sexually assaulted his Luna. Then continued.

"Just ask your Luna where the brown envelopes from this afternoon are. They're probably in...goddammit I can't seem to remember!"

"Ah, well. The Luna just handed me two brown envelopes? Was that too fast?"

She asked partially out of shock and uncertainty. Hakan rolled his eyes.

"I don't even have it in me to be surprised anymore," He grumbled.

"Open it and check what's in it." There was a bit of shuffling in the background, the sound of disturbed stationery.

"It's an invitation, no. More like an RSVP order for a party in the next two weeks and the other one is for a party being held on the San Maria—a yacht party tomorrow night." She said.

He sighed. A party, huh? And an RSVP order. At this point, he honestly thought his life was a joke. He got off the phone and switched lanes. Michael's arse was sweet but he didn't need any other awkward moments and office blowjobs and heartbreak. Plus, he hadn't yet told Michael that Gaia was his wife.

Oh, the poor human. He was a good fuck, a really good fuck, who was more addicted to cock than priests were to holy water. Hakan needed some advice and possibly some scolding. Not enablement.

Good God. What a day he had had. From Chaos to Collision. He was so good darned tired of his life. No better person to understand than his asexual bestie. That idiot understood everything. And knew just what to say as well.
