All eyes turned to Zack. The man who had been silent for so long, it was not because he didn't have the space to be a speaker.
Zack just felt that he didn't need to talk much as long as he was not invited to chat. Now the opportunity had arrived.
"Yes. Of course, as long as you continue to entrust this to me."
Aimee grimaced lightly.
'I've been talking so long that my mouth is foaming. Zack casually only talks that short?'
Then, looked at the results of his short speech.
"Like the last project he worked on?" a meeting participant suddenly spoke up.
"Yes. I already know how the Empires company is progressing. The results of the work and the efficiency and accuracy of the process are commendable."
Aimee sat limply in her chair.
A line of praise that Aimee hadn't gotten since earlier apart from applause.
Hah! At least this meeting wasn't messed up. Until an argument broke out.
"I love the concept," said Harry.
Aimee's heart got like flying.
"But, how could you possibly claim this idea as your work hard?" He stared straight at Alfin and did not let Alfin escape from his sight even though Alfin was currently looking down.
Aimee gave a nice smile.
See! The big boss already knew that Alfin had delegated his work to his secretary. So didn't that mean Harry will return this job to its owner?
Have narrow-minded and laughed at Alfin's suffering.
Aimee suddenly shuddered. Realized that Zack was watching her. Aimee didn't dare to look back at him. Pretended as if she didn't realize it and had been distracted.
Harry was still waiting for an answer from Alfin.
Alfin sighed.
"I have a hand and I am involved!"
Aimee frowned in amusement.
Involved in what? Forcing her to sacrifice and he will be the one who received the results?
Aimee's greatest hope was dashed.
Thought Harry Miles would give this job to Alfin back. And corrected the misunderstanding between his order and Alfin's misbehavior.
Harry spoke in surprise instead.
"I'm going to leave it like this. But, you must come to my room as soon as this meeting is over!"
Aimee raised her face.
Wait! What was this?
'I'm going to leave it like this?'
Hey! What did 'like this' mean?
Harry was already walking away from the meeting room. Left traces of the uncertainty if Aimee could live her normal life again.
Aimee looked at the closed door with pity.
Meanwhile, Alfin felt his head dizzy.
"I better run!" Alfin said quietly while looking for an opportunity.
Aimee moved quickly to stop him.
Won't let him run and have fun alone. Aimee held Alfin's hand. Ignoring some of the buzzes around them. Talked about their relief after Harry Miles left.
Aimee also didn't notice the gazes that continued to stare at her. Aimee hastily stopped Alfin.
"Wait a minute! You can't just walk away! You have to go to Grand King Miles and account for your duties in front of him!"
Alfin frowned.
"Aimee! What are you really talking about? Why are you so rambling? Then stop holding me?! You forgot for a moment who I am?"
Alfin tried to stay away.
But Aimee still tried to hold Alfin's hand. Pulled his sleeves if necessary. And pressed the floor with both feet so as not to sway.
"You can't go! Didn't Mr. Harry tell you to go to his room? You can't get away with it and let me get scolded alone."
Zack knocked on the table a few times with some kind of strange feeling.
"Excuse me! Can you guys just not ignore us all? We're in a meeting and you guys are chatting together instead?" He complained.
Felt offended. Several meeting participants who were also in the discussion by themselves with their partners cleared their throats. Corrected their sitting position and looked at Alfin as well as Aimee.
Alfin pushed Aimee's hand away roughly.
Being indifferent and that attitude made Aimee purse her lips.
"The meeting looks like it's almost over. It's just a matter of handing out the report books and taking them at home before we have a second meeting. I look forward to all of your additional inspiration. Especially you, Mr. Zack!" Aimee exclaimed.
Stood up straight and reached out for a handshake.
Zack also stood up and took Aimee's outstretched hand.
Created a strange atmosphere wandering around them. Aimee immediately washed her hands several times when the meeting was over.
Didn't want to leave the scent of Zack's perfume or body in her hands. Aimee was grateful that the toilet was quiet. So that no one saw her strange behavior.
Aimee's phone rang.
~Borris~
Aimee hastily caught her breath and neutralized her tension again.
"Hello, Borris. You called me sooner, huh?" asked Aimee who thought Borris contacted her to get the car.
Borris immediately replied.
"Yes. My business is done faster and I can make time to go to your office and get my car. Then get back to work before I pick up Salsha. Can you come out for a bit?" asked Borris suddenly.
Checked her appearance and calmed herself down. Aimee smiled.
"Yes. But does that mean you're already in front of my office?" Aimee asked while drying her hands.
Clamped the phone between her shoulder and neck. Aimee prepared to go out. She didn't pay attention to the road and was busy looking down.
Brukk!
The second collision occurred.
"Ow!"
"What happened, Aimee? I heard a pretty loud crash. Did you hit something and get hurt?"
Borris sounded worried.
Cursed in annoyance and tossed his hair. Zack, who was just about to go to the toilet and accidentally bumped into Aimee, reprimanded Aimee.
"Can't you break your bad habit of having a hard time paying attention to the road?" he groaned, annoyed.
"Why do you have to keep bumping into me and raising my blood pressure? Are you deliberately looking for trouble?" added Zack fiercely.
Hung up the phone quickly without any prompts, Aimee looked at Zack sarcastically.
"What the hell? Why are you the one I hit again? Isn't there another man who can hit me, besides you?!" Aimee protested in a strange way of protest.
Zack furrowed his brows and lifted his chin.
"Do you expect another handsome man to bump into you? Or do you hope Mr. Alfiano bumps into you?" said Zack sarcastically.
Aimee frowned.
