Metal manipulation was already a really fraudulent skill, fighting an opponent that relies heavily on their armor or weapon would already be an automatic win for me.

But on top that, if I concentrate hard enough, I'm perfectly able to control 5 separate metallic discs in quick succession.

When I imagined wolverine claws, I never expected I'd get this skill of all things.

The great sage was perfectly out of the range of my expectations. Based on the light novel, I had simply thought the great sage was just a skill that can help enhance or speed up skill related issues.

But as it turns out, as long as I have sufficient information about something, then the possibility of getting an extra skill out of it or even a unique skill is high.

"So Rimuru was really just too old to fully abuse the skill."

I heaved a sigh as I was finally greeted from the warm, golden spears of the sun that hanged at the middle of the sky above me.

The cave was in fact in the middle of a forest, and of course things were proceeding smoothly according to plan.

"But... I did spend a bit more time compared to Rimuru, hopefully that doesn't affect much."

I heaved a defeated sigh as I wiped the remaining blood that clung to the silvery makeshift clothes that I had made in order to at least the descent.

"It's really smooth... no wonder Shuna enjoyed making clothes with them."

Of course I was using hell spider silk, a noticeable boom that I had gotten the moment I was able to copy the hell spider's ability to make webs.

"So I'm basically spider man. Oh well with great power comes great women... er, responsibilities. Yes I'm mature."

I nodded to myself and continued to examine the skill I got.

The body armor from the giant lizard from inside the cave, blood sucking from the giant bat, and the poison breath from the snakes.

"Hmm, I can use the poison as some sort of torture method I guess? I assume it'll be really painful."

I deadpanned and shot a nearby tree at a point blank range with the poison breath and shivered at the sight of it instantly melting and spreading to the tree behind it.

"Yikes."

Then, as I test out many things I countinued my way.

My objective is appropriate.

But, the past few days have been so peaceful.

Apart from the fact that I had scared a wolf half to death when I tried speaking to it but I was only gon a focus on the good sides of life.

Like how the goblins are right on schedule.

"Guga, strong person… Do you have any business with us?"

" Nice to meet you, my name is Rimuru Tempest. "

The goblins immediately made a commotion which made me snicker

"Guga! Strong one we recognize you!"

I nodded,"and what business do you have with me?"

"So it's like that. Past us is our country. We tend to be vigilant if a strong monster's presence is sensed, since then."

"Strong presence? Ohh, you mean me."

"Yes, yes."

I nodded and heaved a sigh, it was one of those things I was afraid. The conversation with the goblins were totally derailed from the original, as a cute slime has a drastic difference with a tiefling.

While thinking that, I accepted their invitation to their village.

Along the road I hear a lot of things.

The fact that after they lost their god monster activities increased.

And so on.

Sorry guys, I tried to come as fast as I could. Believe me!

I felt a little guilty knowing that they suffered because the brash decision me and Veldora arrived to but there was no turning back..

I just have to lead them like the original Rimuru did. Yes yes.

It was soon that the goblin chief, the future Rigurd, entered the building that I was waiting inside of. He continued to tell the story of how their master has disappeared which ended up in their lives totally being plunged unto hell.

Again, I am sorry.

"Kufufu, you goblins are worthy of praise for having the courage to invite one such as myself to help you in this trifling affairs."

Praiseworthy is right. I'm literally worse than what a normal demons looks like, you guys really are great.

"We were being tested, it is a relief to see that we had passed."

"Indeed, I take it you want me to help in defending the village, goblin chief?"

"Yes, yes I am glad the strong one knows well."

"Hmph, very well. How many are in the town? How many can fight?"

"Yes, this town sums up to 100 people. 60 with the women added"

Yikes, that's like, totally low as heck... and what's worse is I don't actually have the dexterity needed to set up traps like Rimuru did... this is bad, do I have to fight the wolf chief myself?

"Fufu. Do you know the tyro monster's number and species"

"Yes. A wolf demon, a fanged wolf species. Originally, a single opponent, with 10 goblins dealing with it is a maybe.., And it's about a 100 wolves…"

I heaved a heavy sigh and nodded at the goblin chief," I want to confirm one thing. If I saved the village what do I get in return?

What will you give me?"

"We offer our loyalty! Please bestow upon us your protection. If Rimuru-sama does we will offer our loyalty!!"

I snickered on instinct, the original Rimuru never had plans for worlds domination but I was different.

The idea of conquering the world, fighting the most powerful enemies one by one, controlling the lives of people for the better.

Freedom is given by those who are in power.

And I will be the one to give it to the world.

"Alright, I will grant you, your wish."

And with that, my first step was sealed.
