Celine's POV

"This is messed up, Sophia," I spat immediately after Dante left the room. My heart had been racing the entire time we were trying to trick him.

My fear was Dante wasn't the kind of person to be tricked; his wolf instincts would tell him if something was off.

"Excuse me, you should be thanking me. I saved your ass," Sophia snapped back at me.

"Come to think of it, how did you think of all this in a second?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Actually, when you finished speaking with Emma yesterday, Emma called me and asked me to find a way to save you if Dante caught you," Sophia answered.

"So?" I pressed.

"I stayed up all night searching Ashley's room. I jumped at the sight when I found her diary. I just had to attach a middle note to the ones she had written and faked everything," the maid narrated.

"Wow! That's bold. You didn't care about being caught?" I wondered, genuinely surprised.
