CHAPTER 21

DANTE'S POV

"What on earth is wrong with you, Ashley?" I couldn't control the anger burning in me.

"I—uh"

"Shut the hell up, Ashley." I took a few strides toward her. "What is your problem? What haven't I done for you? Why have you been acting strangely lately?"

"I didn't slap her, you have to believe me." Ashley pleaded. I hated to see tears in her eyes, but I had to scold her.

"You didn't slap her? Then what happened to her face?" I was blinded by a red haze of rage. Was Ashley trying to make me feel stupid or what?

"She slapped herself and screamed. If you ever trusted me, you would believe me, but it's obvious you love her much," Ashley replied.

That wasn't true. I loved Ashley more, right? I saved her and made her my Luna. I tightened security because of her. I loved her more.
