"All these niggas wanna fuck Sah-Dae!" I gassed while walking out of the King of Prussia Mall with my shopping bags.

"Don't nobody wanna fuck on you. Shut yo ass up." Tahmir— one of my close friends, mushed my head.

"That's what you think." I rolled my eyes at him fixing my mask.

Trinity— my best friend of 7 years caught up to us. "Jade said she was gon' beat my ass, Ima just assume the 'B' silent." She shrugged talking about her girlfriend.

"Sierra coming?" Trin asked referring to my sixteen year old sister. Sierra and I are three years apart, making me nineteen.

"Nah, she ain't feel like it today, I think she went out with my pops." I responded getting into Trin's car.

"Can we go to Applebee's?" Tahmir high ass requested.

Trin and I nodded.

We got in the car and drove to the applebee's restaurant that was a few minutes away from the mall. Making it inside, they seated us quickly.

"Hi, My name is Julie and I'll be your waitress for today, any starters?"

"Water."

"Pepsi."

"Sprite."

We all responded.

"Okay I'll be back with your drinks." The waitress said walking away.

We made conversation until she came back with our drinks.

"Are you guys ready to order?" She asked us.

"Yeah I'a go first." Tahmir said.

"What would you like to order?"

"Um, Ima take the apple." He responded making us look at him weirdly.

"We don't actually sell apples sir."

"Okay then, I'll have the bees." He looked frightened making Trinity and I bust out laughing.

"You must be high as hell." Trinity laughed.

"Be serious Mir oh my God." I wiped my tears.

"Okay, okay, Ima get the chicken tenders platter." He told her.

"Okay and for you ladies ?" The waiter asked.

"I'll get the classic blackened shrimp alfredo."

"Can I get the shrimp'n parmesan sirloin." I ask her.

"Of course, your food should be ready in a few minutes." She told us walking away once again.

"Ian not sending no fuck ass snowflake to Latinas no more." Tahmir huffed looking down at his phone.

"What happened?" Trinity asked him while I nodded wanting to know too.

"She thought I was ICE and blocked me."

"You know the hell what...gimme this." I said taking his phone laughing.

A few minutes later the waitress brought us our food and we continued to converse while beginning to eat. After we somewhat finished, we packed to-go boxes and split the check. We left the restaurant and got in the car.

After I was dropped off home, I took a quick shower and put my new clothes in the dirty hamper to wash soon. Finishing that up, I decided to scroll on instagram.

After I replied to several comments, I pulled my laptop out and started to do some assignments due for my human anatomy class. I'm in college majoring in Nursing. Although I was very young, seeing my mom help people in hospitals inspired me. My mother died of ovarian cancer which had spread shortly after my little sister, Sierra, was born.

Just thinking about my mother made me tear up. A knock at the door shook me out of my thoughts. As I wiped the tears off of my face, I told whoever was at the door to come in.

"Hey- you okay?" Sierra said worriedly.

"I'm fine, what you needed?" I asked her.

"I got a question."

"Okay, go head..."

"Would you still claim me as your sister if I was a chicken strip?" She asked me.

𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘭 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸, *𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩*

I stared at her for a while. Then threw my house slipper at her.

"Get out!"

"I LOVE YOUU. GOODNIGHT" She yelled leaving closing my door.

A couple minutes later, finishing my assigned work, I closed my laptop and put it away. I got up to go to the bathroom which was connected to my room to wash my face and brush my teeth. Once I was done, I changed into my pajamas and kneeled in the front of my bed closing my eyes.

"Father, thank you for holding me together today. I needed you, and you were there for me. Thank you for every bit of love, mercy, and grace that was shown to me though I did not deserve it. Thank you for your faithfulness even in my suffering. To you alone be the glory. Amen."
