Chapter 21

After having my dinner and sending a text to Grace to meet me in my room after her arrival, I took a taxi to the cliff.

When I arrived at the cliff, I felt a wave of peace through my entire body. I sat down hugging my legs feeling the cold air, as the memories of Liam and me flooded back.

"Ava, I promise to take care of you and bring you your favorite coffee every morning before coming to school. I have always supported you and I always will. I am just asking you for a chance to prove my love for you. Ava, will you be my girlfriend?" Liam said, holding my hand tight in his and looking into my eyes with hope in his.

"Oh my god, Liam yes I will be your girlfriend," I said with tears in my eyes but also a huge smile on my lips. Without wasting a single second, he crashed his lips on mine.

Sensing someone standing behind me I opened my eyes and without turning back I knew it was Liam.

"You came," I said and turned to see Liam standing with his hands in his pockets. I pat the ground beside me gesturing to him to sit next to me. Understanding my gestures, he sat next to me.

"You came on time," I said looking ahead

"Yeah, I don't like to run away instead of facing as some people do." He said and I knew it was a taunt for the act of running four years ago but it hurts every time he mentions it.

"Yeah, and I also know that you don't like to give up on someone as some people do. But Liam." I said looking at him and keeping my hand on his as he kept looking ahead. Gently grabbing his face with my other hand, I made him look into my eyes

"I am sorry, for everything I put you through. I was mad, angry, and stupid to run away like that. I can't change what I have done but I am trying to change what I am doing and what I will do. Yes, I left everything four years ago, but I never stopped loving you. I never gave up on you, Liam. Never." I said looking straight into his beautiful eyes.

"I forgive you as it wasn't only your fault whatever happened that night. It was partially mine too. I also never stopped loving you, Ava. I have always loved and will always love you." He said and without wasting a minute I kissed him.

Being a little afraid that he might push me I kissed him slowly first but after a few seconds, he gave in. Grabbing the back of my neck he deepened the kiss. The kiss was slow and burning at first but it turned into a passionate and hot make-out.

We both slowly pulled back but kept our foreheads touching.

"I love you, Liam," I said looking at him

"I love you too, Ava. But I can't do this, you don't know many things right now which are going on in my life and I can't tell you because I don't want to put you in that mess." He said with a frown.

"You can tell me anything, Liam. Please, I know something is bothering you, just tell me and we can solve it together." I said with a smile.

"There is so much that you don't know Ava." He said with pain in his eyes.

"Then let's start from the start, should we?" I said encouraging him.

"It all started with Ian." He said as I held his hand tighter.
