Shizuka And Shiro

After classes, students often have various other activities to attend to, and cleaning their surroundings is usually not one of them. However, when Shizuka took on the task of cleaning the entire floor of a building for an entire month, some students started feeling guilty about leaving their rooms untidy. The best way for them to help her was to clean up after themselves. Unfortunately, some students lacked consideration and left their rooms in disarray.

Following the Izumo gang incident, Shizuka found herself completely isolated, with none of her former friends and acquaintances willing to associate with her anymore. Once a highly respected figure among the female students, she now had no one to turn to and was left to wander the halls of the school alone.

"Is Fujino Shizuka the new cleaner for this floor?"

"Yeah. Hope she'll change after what she did."

"She's not a legendary queen of St. Agnes, just a delinquent who acts high and mighty."

"Wasn't she sweet before that incident?"

"No, that was all an act. Her true nature revealed - violent and unpleasant."

"I hope she leaves this school as soon as possible. She will ruin this school's reputation."

As they chatted away, little did they know that Momozuki Shiro was eavesdropping. His ears perked up upon hearing his childhood friend Shizuka's name being slandered. However, Shiro decided to maintain his poise and not confront them. He firmly believed that Shizuka was not the kind of person they portrayed her to be.

He's having trouble dealing with the fact that his childhood friend Shizuka seems to be pulling away from him. He can't help but blame himself for this, at least partially. He recently won the student council election and has been basking in the newfound popularity and attention that comes with the position. As a result, he's been making new friends and getting caught up in his new role, which has caused him to neglect his old friend in some ways. It's a painful realization, and he's struggling to figure out how to fix things and mend their friendship.

From a distance, Shiro gazes at Shizuka with a profound sense of sorrow and sympathy. Although he is deeply concerned about her, he feels uncertain and hesitant about moving closer to her.

Despite the constant presence of hateful people around her, Shizuka remains unfazed. She firmly believes that these individuals are simply envious of her, unable to accept the fact that she possesses a combination of traits that they do not - intelligence, athleticism, and captivating looks that effortlessly draw in the attention of men. However, there is one aspect of herself that she feels insecure about - her small chest. Being a girl, it is quite normal for her to feel self-conscious about this particular aspect of her appearance, which makes her feel vulnerable at times.

Shizuka had grown frustrated with the task of sweeping the floor. She had finally admitted to herself that it was a lost cause to attempt cleaning while others were still present in the room. She was convinced that maintaining cleanliness would be a far simpler task if no one was around to make a mess. Despite her typically proud, spoiled, and haughty demeanor, she was taking this punishment seriously and was determined to make amends for her actions.

Shizuka settled down onto a sturdy wooden chair placed right beside the window, her eyes fixed on the small screen of her smartphone. She was completely engrossed in playing games on her device, her fingers tapping away at the screen in quick succession. The sunlight filtering through the window cast a warm glow over her face, yet she remained oblivious to everything but the game in front of her.

"Look at that attitude."

"I don't like that woman."

Shizuka remained engrossed in her smartphone, oblivious to the murmurs around her. Meanwhile, Shiro watched her intently from outside her classroom, taking comfort in her calm demeanor despite the chaos around them.

Shiro flashed a wry smile as he made his way out, his confident tone betraying the fact that he had nothing to worry about.

As the golden afternoon sun slowly descends, Shizuka finally comes to the realization that the students who were engrossed in her captivating mobile game for an entire hour have begun to trickle out of the room.

"Finally! I can begin this troublesome task."

Shizuka picked up the broom and dustpan with utmost care and began sweeping the classroom floor. She made sure to cover every inch of the floor, removing every bit of dust and debris. After sweeping, she carefully mopped every corner of the classroom, leaving no spot untouched. As the sun began to set, Shizuka felt a sense of urgency to finish her task so she could go home. She quickened her pace and tried to complete her cleaning duties to the best of her ability.

"I had no idea you were so passionate about cleaning. Perhaps you could pursue a career in janitorial services."

Shizuka's attention was abruptly drawn to an unknown individual who had unexpectedly interjected with a tone of sarcasm.

"Shi. . Shiro sempai! Why are you still here?" As soon as Shiro stepped into her classroom, Shizuka's gaze immediately shifted away from him. A flush of crimson spread across her face at the sight of the strikingly attractive student.

Shiro's face lit up as he presented a journal book to her, proudly declaring that it was for his student council duties.

Shiro gently placed the worn-out journal on the teacher's desk and turned to face Shizuka, who was standing nearby, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. He took a step closer to her and offered his help, his soft voice filled with sincerity. "Let me help you," he said, extending his hand towards her, hoping to ease her discomfort.

She awkwardly mopped the floor and said, "I. . .I can handle this alone."

Shiro's hand moved swiftly as he snatched the mop from Shizuka's grasp, causing her to flinch. Caught off guard by his sudden action, she instinctively swung her arm in an attempt to hit him.

"Mo. . Move back!" exclaimed Shizuka, trying to hit Shiro with her fist.

With swift and agile movements, he adeptly dodged her attack, leaving her flustered as she punched the empty air.

"I'm sorry . . . no. . Ho.. . How. . How did you do that?"

"Instincts, I guess?" He replied, smirking.

Shizuka takes a quick step back from Shiro, her face turning red with embarrassment.

"Whatever! I'll just start cleaning other rooms then," Shizuka exclaimed, her voice laced with frustration as she tried her best to avoid the attractive student.

Shiro replied, "Don't bother, I'm done with the other rooms while you were playing," while thoroughly mopping the floor.

At the sound of those words, her heart raced with excitement and anticipation. A sudden rush of emotions flooded her as she felt a warm and pleasant sensation creep up her cheeks. As her lips curved into a smile, her eyes sparkled with joy and delight.

In a low and almost inaudible voice, she muttered the words, "You're such a kind person, Shiro sempai," while being careful not to let him catch her words.

Shizuka is a girl who has been through a lot in her life ever since her mother died. She has faced many hardships alone, including a lack of kindness from others. As a result, she has become guarded and closed off to the world around her. However, she cannot help but feel her heart start to soften whenever someone does show her kindness. It is a feeling that is all too rare for her, but it is one that she cherishes deeply.

The night before, her grandmother served her warm noodles. The warmth of the soup and the love that her grandmother put into it made her feel better. Whenever someone shows her kindness now, she is reminded of that feeling. It is a feeling of comfort and safety that she longs for more than anything else.

Despite her mistrust of men, Shizuka finds herself drawn to Shiro. He is kind and gentle, and whenever she is with him, she forgets her hatred of the male gender. However, she resists her feelings towards him and distances herself from him. She knows that being close to him will only make her feelings for him grow stronger, and she is not sure that she is ready for that kind of vulnerability.

Shizuka, don't be fooled. Shiro is a man, a disgusting being created only to hurt a woman's feelings.

She believed that by embracing this mindset, she would be able to prevent any future emotional attachments to Shiro.

Shiro's warm smile lit up the room as he politely requested, "Would you help me remove the dust from the chalkboard eraser?"

"O . . . Okay"

Shizuka's head bobbed slightly in agreement as she averted her gaze, intentionally avoiding any direct eye contact with Shiro.

Shizuka gently slid open the window, letting in a soft breeze that rustled the curtains. She reached for the eraser on the desk and carefully dusted it off, making sure no speck of dust remained. Meanwhile, Shiro dipped the mop in a bucket of water and wrung it out, ready to start mopping the wooden floor. With deft movements, he began to glide the mop back and forth, the sound of water sloshing mingling with the rustling of the curtains.

Shiro's smile never wavered as he dutifully mopped the floor, seemingly unfazed by the tense silence between him and Shizuka. She, on the other hand, couldn't help but feel uneasy, her cheeks still flushed with embarrassment. The stillness in the air only seemed to amplify the awkwardness of the situation, making it almost unbearable for Shizuka to endure.

Shizuka found herself alone with the person after a long time and was left without words to say, as if the silence between them had grown into a tangible presence.

As Shizuka dusted off the eraser, she felt the weight of the awkward silence that hung in the air. In an attempt to dispel it, she cleared her throat and spoke up tentatively. "I... Isn't it quite hot today?" she said, hoping to start a conversation and ease the tension in the room.

"Shizuka, it's December. It's been freezing lately."

". . ."

"If you're feeling hot, you can take off your…" scoffed Shiro.

Shizuka, with a flushed face, quietly tossed the board eraser onto the floor "Enough. I'm leaving."

After cleaning the classroom, Shizuka hastily grabbed her bag and made a quick exit, trying to avoid any awkward conversations.

"Oh, come on, Shizuka, don't be mean after I helped you."

Shizuka continued to put on a tough demeanor as she replied, "It doesn't matter now. I never asked for your help in the first place."

Shiro let out a heavy sigh, his shoulders slumping in exhaustion. He paused for a moment before a sly smirk crossed his face, as if he had just thought of a clever plan. He reached for the cleaning tools and noticed a small object lying on the ground, catching his attention.

"A ring?"

As Shizuka hastily departed the room, she was in such a hurry that a small object slipped out of her bag and fell to the floor without her noticing. Shiro, who was still in the room, couldn't help but notice the object and decided to pick it up. As he examined the object, he realized that it was a ring and one that he recognized as belonging to Shizuka.

Shiro wondered why Shizuka wasn't wearing the ring and quickly deduced that she must have taken it off before entering the room. He wondered why she would take it off. "This ring . . . You don't wear it anymore huh?" Shiro quickly put away the tools he was using and left the room, displaying his wry smile.

Shizuka walks quickly down the hallway with Shiro patiently following behind. Shiro seems to be enjoying the moment with the awkward girl until he feels an eerie wind blowing in from outside the window.

He halted his walking and gazed blankly at the direction from where the wind was coming.

Is someone watching over us?

Shiro's heart raced as an unsettling sensation of eyes upon them crept up. He looked around, but nobody was within sight. The unease lingered, making it difficult to shake off the feeling of being watched.

With a grin on his face and a hint of surprise in his voice, he mumbled, "I never thought they were capable of taking it this far." The unexpected turn of events had left him pleasantly surprised, yet slightly perplexed.

As Shizuka walked down the hallway, she suddenly became aware of the sound of Shiro's footsteps stopped. She turned around to find her friend Shiro standing behind her, his eyes fixed on something outside the window. His face bore an eerie grin, which sent shivers down Shizuka's spine.

Concern etched on her face, she turned to Shiro and asked, "Is something wrong?"

He turned to Shizuka and flashed a wry smile. "Don't mind me," he said, before his expression suddenly changed. His smile grew wider and more genuine as he spoke, "Let's head home."

As soon as she caught his eye, she could feel her cheeks heating up again. She turned away swiftly, hoping he hadn't noticed. But as she heard him chuckle softly, her embarrassment only grew. Unable to contain her frustration, she blurted out, "Stop smiling like that. It's not funny."

Shiro scoffed and cast a quick glance towards the window, knowing he was about to witness something unexpected. He grinned wickedly and muttered with a sinister tone, "Let's settle this once and for all."
