Mission To Recruit Part One

After Raiden Arashi, a respected educator at the prestigious Divine Knights Academy, received a formal letter from the Kaishi Council, he sprang into action. He wasted no time and immediately summoned two of his most competent students to his cozy yet spacious office. Despite its modest size, the room was tastefully furnished and featured a plush sofa set that beckoned visitors to sit and relax in front of his imposing desk.

As he relaxed on a plush couch, his gaze fell upon the wooden coffee table that lay before him. He gestured to two students, both dressed in black uniforms, inviting them to take a seat on separate sofas that flanked the coffee table. They sat facing each other, their gazes locked across the polished surface of the table.

Arashi offered tea to the male students, but they refused.

At that precise moment, Arashi made a conscious decision to shatter the stillness that had enveloped the surroundings.

Arashi, with his untidy bluish hair tied behind him, adjusted his glasses and spoke up, "I have a request for the two of you. I'm aware that you both have longed to visit the 'other' place for sightseeing. This is your chance to fulfill that desire."

"Yes, I would want to go there, but not with this dimwit, Arashi sensei." replied by the student with neatly tied ponytailed hair.

"Hey, quit it, barbie face! "I wouldn't want to go there with you either!" The other student's anger was evident as he exclaimed, causing his jet-black hair to fly upwards with the force of his words.

Arashi let out a deep sigh, feeling all too familiar with the constant bickering of his students. In an effort to calm his nerves, he took a slow sip from his steaming cup of tea, allowing the warmth to spread through his body and ease the tension in his muscles.

"From what I have observed, it seems that the connection between you two is stronger than any other student pairing I have come across so far."

The two students faced each other, their voices raised in argument. "No, we're not!" they both exclaimed at the same time, their words overlapping as they continued to bark at each other.

"Alright, whatever you say. You two still owe me a lot after the trouble you've caused, right?" Arashi said, bringing up a topic that would stop them from fighting.

The heated argument between the two students came to an abrupt halt as soon as their teacher intervened. Arashi couldn't help but let out a quiet chuckle, feeling a sense of satisfaction wash over them as they watched the awkward silence settle in between the two students. It was clear that Arashi's words had hit their mark and effectively diffused the tension in the room.

Arashi, with a serious expression, addressed Gabyo Hakken and Kaikatsu Ayashiro. "I have a crucial task for you both," he said, holding a formal letter in his hand. "Your mission is to deliver this letter to a specific person in the human world and persuade them to come here. The person is likely around your age, so you should be able to relate to them better." Arashi then carefully put the letter inside a small envelope and handed it over to Hakken.

"Take care and have fun on the other side," Arashi said with a smirk.

At Divine Knights Academy, two students named Gabyo Hakken and Kaikatsu Ayashiro are always at odds with each other. Gabyo Hakken, a brilliant student, is often the subject of admiration among his peers. His long, chocolate-brown hair that he ties back and his brownish eyes make him stand out from the crowd. Although he is usually calm and composed, he has a sarcastic demeanor that he likes to display every now and then. Hakken takes pleasure in engaging in verbal altercations with Kaikatsu Ayashiro, his fellow student, and often picks fights with him.

Ayashiro and Hakken are two distinct individuals who appear to have nothing in common. Ayashiro stands out with his jet-black, spiky hair and pitch-dark eyes, which seem to reflect his quick-tempered nature. Unlike Hakken, Ayashiro's build is much larger and imposing. While Hakken is known for his intelligence, Ayashiro's intellect is not on the same level. Despite their differences, both individuals seem to have an air of mystery that surrounds them, leaving others wondering what makes them so unique.

"Sensei, why would you handle that letter to Miss Universe? He's weak and looks pale all the time. Let me have it instead." Ayashiro persisted in insulting his fellow student.

"Sensei, don't mind this fool. He may be strong, but his recklessness always precedes him." Hakken retaliated by responding with an insulting remark of his own, aiming to hurt and offend Ayashiro more.

"Did you just call me dummy, reckless, and stupid? Say it again, if you have the guts!" Ayashiro shouted, his anger escalating.

"Don't forget the word 'strong,' though. That's a compliment," Hakken said sarcastically.

In a fit of rage, Ayashiro abruptly rose from his seat and lunged at Hakken, gripping his collar tightly. He then proceeded to stomp on the coffee table, causing the objects on it to rattle and shake.

"Let's take this outside, princess!" he fumed.

In the midst of a heated argument, Arashi remains composed and takes a sip of his tea. He then calmly intervenes, putting an end to the altercation. "Stop it or you'll get expelled"

Ayashiro clenched his jaw tightly as he let go of Hakken, his fists still trembling with the force of his grip. On the other hand, Hakken's lips curved into a smug smile, and he nonchalantly straightened his black attire, as though Ayashiro's actions were of no consequence to him.

"Are you done?" Arashi asked with a smile, putting down his drink.

Ayashiro nodded and lifted his foot off the wooden table.

Arashi heaved a deep sigh, his hand delving into the pocket of his vest. After a moment, he produced something and passed it across his desk to the two students sitting on the other side. Intrigued, they leaned forward to get a better look at the object.

"Is that a picture?" asked Ayashiro.

"Genius, that's a letter," Hakken sarcastically replied, still trying Ayashiro's patience.

Ayashiro tried to stay calm. "You're looking for a fight again, Barbie," Ayashiro sneered. He knew losing his cool would only make things worse.

Arashi's lips curved into a wry smile as he handed over a photograph to his students. "This is the person you'll be meeting," he said, pointing to the picture. "Your task is to deliver this letter to her and then escort her to me."

The image depicts a young woman who is likely a student.

Hakken's curiosity got the better of him as he asked, "I am intrigued to know more about her. Can you tell me what's her story?"

"The council wants her here, that's all I can say." Arashi replied in a low voice, with an undertone of seriousness.

"Why would they want a mere student to enter this world so suddenly?" Hakken uttered curiously.

After being bombarded with a series of questions, Arashi fell silent, giving off a clear indication that he had no intention of answering any more queries.

"Sensei, why do I have to go with this girl? Why can't you do it?" Ayashiro asked, his voice full of frustration.

"Stop complaining, dimwit. He wants you to suffer from the mess you made last year," Hakken said, annoying his fellow student.

"Ugh! You're saying that I made this mess!" Ayashiro replied, struggling to maintain his calm demeanor.

"To answer your question Ayashiro, I just made the two of you do it out of my hunch. My hunch tells me to bring the two of you here." Arashi leans comfortably on the couch with his eyes closed.

"That's crazy," Ayashiro mumbled.

"The time is running out, please pack up your belongings and get ready to enjoy your trip."

Arashi concluded the conversation, and the two students departed from the office.

Arashi, a former Divine Knight, has taken up the mantle of a teacher at the prestigious Divine Knights Academy. This institution is dedicated to training aspiring knights in the art of combat and magic, as well as equipping them with the knowledge they need to serve the country and protect its citizens.

The curriculum at the academy consists of two years of intense training, which includes both theoretical and practical courses. Students are taught everything from sword-fighting techniques to advanced spellcasting, and are given the opportunity to hone their skills in simulated combat scenarios.

However, despite the rigorous training provided by the academy, the final tests that determine whether a student is qualified to become a Divine Knight are incredibly challenging. In fact, more than 60% of students fail to pass these tests, which are judged by none other than Raiden Arashi himself. This legendary knight has been granted the authority to determine whether a student has what it takes to join the ranks of the Divine Knights and serve the country with honor and distinction.

The school boasts a culture of discipline and obedience, causing the students to be meek and hesitant to question the strict teacher's authority. This behavior is reminiscent of Hakken and Ayashiro, who also displayed similar traits of compliance.

After savoring the last sip of his tea, Arashi rose from the comfortable couch and made his way towards the towering bookshelves that lined the wall behind his desk. Running his fingers over the spines of the books, he selected one that caught his eye and carefully extracted it from its place. Settling himself down in the plush chair in front of his desk, he opened the book and began to read.

Out of nowhere, a loud and unexpected knock echoed throughout the room. With his heart racing, he swiftly tucked the book he had been reading behind his back, hoping that whoever was at the door wouldn't see it.

"Enter," he said, his face contorting into an awkward expression as he hastily tried to conceal the book he was holding.

The sound of a deep, masculine voice filled the air as the man spoke, "It's been a while, my friend."

As soon as the door opened, his eyes landed on the person standing on the other side. He smiled in recognition and greeted him nonchalantly, "Oh, well it's just you. Come in."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

After a few minutes, Ayashiro and Hakken arrived at their destination.

"We have arrived." Hakken exclaimed as they emerged from a dark portal.

"Is this the other world they've been talking about? It's not that different from ours, except I can't sense any ki here," Ayashiro replied in a bored tone.

"Well, let me educate you, dimwit."

"What did you say, you freaking Diva?!"

"Firstly, this planet is called Earth and it lacks ki as its inhabitants are not Divine Knights. We are currently in a place called Japan."

"You have a map there?"

"Yeah. We're on this small island."

"Wow, there are so many countries on this map. How can we accurately identify our current location?"

"Uhm . . Well. . ."

"Tch. Keep thinking, smartass."

"This world has more advanced technology than ours. People here invented this thing called a smartphone, or whatever it is."

"Smartphone? What is that?"

"An object that they use to communicate and perform various tasks."

"Oh, I see. We have radio transceivers in our world though."

No, smartphones are more advanced. They have plenty of apps, and I believe they have a digital map and can guide us.

"Apps? Who cares. Have you been here before? How do you know this stuff?"

"No, but my dad lives here. He's the principal of the school we're searching for."

"Oh, I see."

"But the problem is, How do we get there?"

After some time had passed, they both fell silent and were unsure of what actions to take next.

As they arrived in a strange new world, they stood before a foreboding black portal, guarded heavily by the troops of the Kaishi Council. This portal was known as the "Angels' Gate", and it was the only way for them to pass through to their destination. The process of entering the portal was not unlike that of a port, where each individual's identity from Eden was thoroughly verified before they were permitted to enter. However, they had a letter from the council, which immediately caught the attention of the guards. They were assisted quickly and granted easy access to the exit. As they passed through the portal, the world around them seemed to shift and warp, until they found themselves standing in an old, abandoned building located in Japan.

Upon exiting the building, their eyes were immediately drawn to a cluster of men, adorned in the traditional black suits and slicked back hair commonly associated with Yakuza members. These individuals were aimlessly roaming the barren and desolate area, their presence raising suspicion and causing one to question their motives. It was clear that they were up to something dubious, but without further information, it was impossible to determine their exact intentions.

The tall man, gripping a long wooden bat firmly, approached Hakken and Ayashiro with a cautious expression on his face. He shouted at them, "Hold on! I don't recognize you. Who are you people?"

"Seems like they want to get beaten, huh?" One of the men said, trying to intimidate the students.

"Get out of here before we kick you!" The leader shouted, brandishing his long wooden bat.

Hakken and Ayashiro appeared to be completely unprovoked, with no discernible outward signs of agitation. However, upon closer inspection, their faces bore an unmistakably sinister grin, hinting at a deep-seated malevolence lurking beneath the surface.

Ayashiro grinned maliciously and uttered, "Seems like we'll have to get a smartphone first."
