128 7.17 Quiescence

Cillian woke up and looked at Lucas. He silently stood up, picked up his clothes, and tapped four times on his bracelet. He was sent back to where he had been beamed from.

He dropped his clothes on the floor and lay down on his bed. Cillian felt like sleeping forever, never waking up. He had never felt this overwhelmed in his entire life.

Despite knowing that he should fight it and that Bliss heightened his feelings again, he felt too exhausted to do anything.

Cillian woke up at the end of the day. He reached out for his cell phone and saw that no one had called him.

He put it away and forced himself to stand up, feeling worse than ever. Bliss, who was hiding on the side, took a breath and did it.

He knew it would hurt Cillian, but even now that he had heightened his feelings to 80%, he still wanted to fight.
