1.16 Assuaged fears

Cillian was sitting on the bed using his computer, every once in a while he would look at the bathroom door. He used Bloom and saw King walking back and forth nervously. He closed his computer and knocked on the door then asked:

"Are you okay?"

King opened the door and looked at Cillian. He laced their hands and sat on the bed. King looked at their laced hands with a frown. Cillian waited for him to speak when he is ready.

King looked at Cillian and admitted:

"I'm worried."

Cillian moved closer to him and asked:

"About what?"

King swallowed and said:

"You running away again."

Cillian looked down, he can't blame him when he did before. He was scared to admit to himself that he was right to doubt the Celestials but he's over it now. But he can't exactly tell that to King. He looked up when King said:

"Earlier when I said let's go home I became worried that you might want to run away again after I saw your face."

Cillian asked:

"Do you consider this place both our home or did you just say it like that?"

King said:

"I haven't considered this place home since my parents passed. The only reason I didn't leave is that they were too many memories of us. But it does now that you're here. I do think of it as our home because I want to spend the rest of my life with you and share everything."

King looked at Cillian to see how he would react.

Cillian's eyes moistened and he admitted:

"I never thought of any place as home. When you said it I was surprised because I do think of this place as my home too."

King pulled Cillian on his lap and he straddled him. Cillian said as he wrapped his arms around his neck:

"The truth is no matter where we are I'll think of it as home because you'll be there."

King kissed him tenderly. He was worried Cillian got spooked but he isn't and he feels the same way as he does. He pulled back and asked:

"Were you serious earlier or was it just a joke?"

Cillian looked at King confused. King specified:

"When you asked where's the ring."

When Cillian's cheeks flushed King tilted his head.

Cillian looked away and said uncomfortably:

"If you were to propose I wouldn't say no."

King's eyes lit up like fireworks. He turned Cillian's head and looked into his lovely eyes.

"Really?"

Cillian nodded and said:

"I already told you I can't live without you."

King smiled brightly, he was a fool to believe that Cillian might run away again.

"I'm sorry I won't doubt you again."

"You don't have to apologize I know that I was hesitant before so I understand."

King said:

"Yeah well even if you are again I'll never let you go."

"Promise?"

The expectation in Cillian's eyes as he waited for him to promise assuaged all the worries King had. He held onto him tighter and said:

"I promise baby."

Cillian smiled and kissed him again. They laid down and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Yuxin woke up and after showering quickly he ran downstairs to make sure his father was there. He tried to wait for his mother last night but he ended up falling asleep because of how late it was. He ran to the dining room when he heard voices. When he saw Huang he ran and hugged him. Huang hugged him back, he patted his back when he felt Yuxin crying.

"It's okay."

Yuxin took a seat and asked:

"Is everything settled now?"

Huang said:

"I was able to post bail and the trial will be in a month."

"What's going to happen?"

Huang explained:

"My lawyer said that I'm lucky I don't have a criminal past or I would've been incarcerated like Xiang Kai. Whatever I get in the end at least I'll be a free man."

Yuxin let out a breath, he was so worried he might end up in jail for years but now he knows that everything will be okay. Shuyi said:

"It's a good thing you were released or you might've missed the board meeting."

Huang said determinedly:

"I know but today the company will be mine no matter what. I already talked to everyone and they'll vote for me to keep running the company. Cillian doesn't know anything about the regulations or the will so he won't be able to say anything and even if he does I'll shut it down. Since we would have voted before he came of age the decision will stand even after he turns twenty. Even if he'll inherits everything Zonglin left him the company will be under my control and I'll find a way to get all his shares. You know how stupid he is he'll sign anything you put under his nose without reading."

Hearing that Yuxin felt like he could finally breathe. Since yesterday he's been so stressed and seeing Cillian with King didn't help. Remembering that he said explained everything that happened to his father and mother. Huang narrowed his eyes, since that dinner they had where King lost it because they forgot about Cillian's allergy he knew that he had him.

But it's fine because even if King was to have Cillian's back there's nothing he can do. He thought and shook his head. No there's no way King would put a crush above his family. Even if everyone fears him and he's cold he treats his family extremely well and he is beyond generous. He always put family first.

Cillian came out of the elevator and went to the dining room. He smiled at King who was sitting at the head of the table. He took a seat on his left and filled his plate.

"Why aren't you at work?

"I'm not working today."

Cillian nodded.

He could feel King looking at him expectantly but he pretended not to see. King looked at Cillian the whole time they were eating. He thought he would ask him to accompany him to the board's meeting but he still hasn't. He knows he can handle everything on his own but he wants to be there when he takes back his father's company. He wants him to know that he'll always have his back no matter what.

When Cillian stood up he pulled him on his lap and buried his face in his neck. Cillian smiled and caressed his nape. It always makes him laugh to see King act spoiled. King pulled back and looked at him pouting. Cillian chuckled, he kissed his pouty lips and asked:

"Will you come with me to the board's meeting?"

King smiled wide and nodded.

Huang and Yuxin walked out of the elevator and went to the counsel room their head held high. Today the company will be solely under their control. They smiled at the board members who were waiting respectfully in front of the door then entered first. All the board members followed and took their seats. Yuxin took his seat then Huang walked to the large chair at the head of the table reserved for the president and couldn't understand why it was turned.

He reached for it and before he could it turned on its own. Everyone looked at King and Cillian stunned. If a stranger being at a board meeting wasn't bad enough Cillian was sitting on King's lap. But the board members knew better than to say anything, they all know King. He's like an emperor, he does as he wants and you'll lose your head if you say something. Furthermore, he is Huang's family he should deal with him.

Huang coughed and said with a smile:

"Leader thank you so much for bringing Cillian to the board meeting I was afraid he might've forgotten."

Cillian smiled and said:

"He didn't drive me he's my plus one."

Huang felt like slapping him, how dare he speak to him when he was speaking to King.

He looked at King and saw that he was looking at Cillian with a smile. Huang forced himself not to lose it and said:

"Fine then let's start the meeting."

He took a seat on Cillian and KIng's right and gave a knowing look to the board members. Today Li Media will be mine.
