13 Revenge Planning

"Anastasia where are you?" Isabelle screamed while searching for her.

She glanced at Emily who was also trying her best to find her. Her mind was very uneasy right now.

What if something dangerous happened to her on this night.

Why can't this girl listen to her at least one time?

If it wasn't for the possibility of that monster harming her. Isabelle wouldn't have been this anxious about it. She knew that Anastasia was too gullible.

What if that creature manipulated her into taking him out of that underground door? The curse that was gone centuries ago from this village would return again and ruin a lot of people's lives. That thought was enough to make her have a panic attack.

"Grandma I am here." She heard Anastasia scream that made her feel relieved.

She ran towards the direction her voice came from and saw Anastasia coming towards her.

She looked normal which means she didn't went inside that forbidden forest.

If she would have gone inside it then her mana would be very low right now and that would have made her look sick but Anastasia looked fine which means she didn't open the door yet. That gave a sense of consolation.

Looking at her. Isabelle's eyes started getting wet and she went towards Anastasia and hugged her tightly.

"It's okay grandma. Nothing happened to me. I am fine." Anastasia said while hugging her back.

Isabelle broke the hug looking at Anastasia and slapped her across the face. The slap was not that hard. But it still stings Anastasia's face.

The sudden slap made Anastasia shocked.

Even though she has done many bad things in her childhood her grandma never raised her hand at her. It was not in her personality to hit anyone.

Then why did she suddenly slap her? Did she find out about her going to the forbidden forest?

She looked at Emily for confirmation but she gave her no reaction by that. She was just looking at her sympathetically.

"Why don't you listen to me? How many times did I tell you not to go to that place. But you still don't understand." Isabelle shouted at her.

Anastasia rubbed her cheek and looked at Isabelle with her puppy eyes.

"Grandma I know I did wrong. But you should have not hit me like that."

When Anastasia said it Isabelle realized what she did.

She didn't want to hit her but when it is a matter of her village and her family's safety sometimes She just can't control her feelings. She was feeling guilty for hitting Anastasia.

That child didn't even do anything and she slapped her for no reason. She thought to herself.

"I am so sorry Anastasia I didn't mean to slap you." She came forward and touched Anastasia's cheek. "I was so worried about you when Emily told me that you were not in your room that i…"

Anastasia caressed Isabelle's hand and smiled at her. "It's ok grandma don't feel bad about it. I understand that you were worried about me and I promise I am not going to go outside at night without telling you again."

"I just hope you keep your promise and stay away from that forbidden area." She stared at the gate. "That place is not safe for anyone to go." Isabelle looked at Emily. "And I am not telling this thing only to Anastasia."

"Fine grandma I will also stay away from that place." Emily looked down and said.

"Whatever now let's go home. It is not safe to stay here at this hour. We will talk about this in the morning." Isabelle announced and started heading towards the house directions.

Emily and Anastasia also followed her

obediently.

When Isabelle wasn't looking Anastasia quickly whispered something in Emily's ear. "Thanks for not telling grandma about where I was. If she would have known I would have been dead now."

"What do you mean by that? Where were you?" Emily asked her while being confused.

"Don't play with me Emily. You know where I was. You only told me to go there."

Emily might be joking with her. How can she not know that she was in the forbidden forest? When Emily was the one who helped her in finding the entrance key.

"I swear to you Anastasia. I don't know anything. The last thing I remember was falling asleep on my bed. When I woke up it was past midnight and my body also started feeling weird. I came into your room to tell you about it. But I didn't see you in there and that scared me because I thought something happened to you that's why I went towards grandma and told her about it. But trust me, I don't remember anything from before."

"What!?" If that wasn't Emily then who might that be? The thought scared her. She looked down at her neck because it was feeling very hot in that area.

She glanced at the ruby necklace and saw that it was glowing again.

But the weird part is… Why did nobody ask her about from where she got it?

Can they not see this thing?

"Family drama? interesting." Adrian grinned while looking at Anastasia from far away until she was out of his sight.

A raven bird suddenly came from behind and sat on his shoulder. He looked at it and smiled

"What happened little birdy? Did you missed me?"

Adrian touched the bird's head and noticed that his wings were sliced from upside. "How are you still alive after all these years? Are you immortal too?" He asked it with a calm tone.

But the raven bird kept gurgling his throat. Like it was trying to tell him something.

"What happened is there any danger coming towards here?" Adrian said while staying alarmed.

It's been more than centuries since him being on the earth. In that timeline, raven birds helped him every time.

If they started gurgling out of sudden then that means some kind of supernatural energy is heading towards their way.

Looks like his enemies found out about him returning. That's why from now he needs to be extra cautious.

"Adrian come on baby don't hide from me." a very seductive voice started whispering in his ears. But for him, this voice was very familiar.

A red-cloaked woman appeared out of nowhere and looked at him hungrily.

Even though she is wearing a cloak he could see her face very well. She had a very attractive face that could seduce anyone. Her long brunette wavy hair was open and she was smirking like she finally caught her prey again.

He glanced at her but her magic did not affect him. He stared at her motionlessly while putting his hand inside his pocket.

She slammed Adrian on the tree and looked at him with her glowing red eyes. "What happened darling? Are you not scared of me anymore?"

She caressed his cheek and chuckled. "It's alright. We are going to have so much fun that you are going to forget that you were ever frightened of me."

She was about to move forward to kiss him. But Adrian pushed her away immediately making her fall to the ground.

"How dare you do that!?" The woman headed towards him angrily but Adrian snapped his finger making the woman fall on her knees. She tried to stand up but failed miserably every time.

"You are not Adrian, are you? Who the hell are you? And how the hell can you control me?" The woman said in her miserable state.

"I never thought that our meeting after century would be like this? But nice to meet you again succubi." Adrian smirked.

It made her confused that how does he know her real identity but when she saw his eyes turning yellow she understood who it was.

In hell, the demons who have yellow eyes are considered to be in high-ranking positions. Only the 2 of 5 princes of hell possessed this eye color does that mean he is?

"Ezen!? You got freed from that place?" The woman's angry voice turned polite "Do you know how much I missed you?" Succubi went towards Adrian trying to hug him but was stopped when she tried touching him.

"How about we talk from afar? I really hate skinship, especially in this human body. And don't you dare lie about missing me. Because trust me I didn't missed you at all." Adrian ignored her and continued going away from her.

Succubi went towards Adrian and grabbed his arm tightly "Ezen don't treat me like this. I am also one of your people. And I would like to help you with your revenge from the people who ruined us."

Adrian took her hand off from his arm and held it harshly "You want to help me?" He asked her in an indifferent tone.

Succubi nodded vigorously after hearing him ask that.

"Fine then, I need a sidekick anyway. Let's start our revenge planning." Adrian said and left her hand from his grip.
