It was time to go and kill a C-rank!

I, this time, without problem, became a D-rank, if I had another D-rank I would be able to do C-rank rank quests.

But, I'm not wasting my time on that, so I remembered all my previous calculations on where different monsters were, then I looked through which C-ranks were here.

This was the one I was going to go after, it's habitat coincides with the Wind wolf, but is more specific.

They are also with a very predictable attack and movement pattern, since they're too fast for their own good.

Also, Wind wolves are usually with them, sooooo, I'm going to upgrade my bouncy air slashes.

There, there were 4 Wind wolves. I, with my sword unsheated, slashed 3 times, with 1 air slash bouncing.

The first went for the wolf's chest, the second bounced from the ground, and also hit the chest.

The wolf panicked and jumped to the side, and once again had an air slash onto their chest, and having a major artery cut.

Another charged at me, this time 4 bouncy slashes bounced from the ground and trees at their neck, cutting it off, barely.

In that time, another came close, too close. So right after the second wolf was closed, and the third was about to hit me, I stepped back, and quickly released a slashe with my hands, carving from the belly to the heart.

But then I remembered that I had that dual-cell, and chose to use it against the 4th wolf.

But before it got close, Asmodeus rushed in and slashed with it's great sword, then twisted his wrist and attack again, killing it quickly.

Sadly, I couldn't use my dual cell, you know what, I'll save it. You may also be wondering how I wa ale to use air slashes more than I should, I forcibly put mana into it to create air slash charges charges. At a cost of 45mp per extra charge.

I harvested all of the magic stones, and picked up a few more magic stones, I would choose how many I would use later.

Which, after an hour of searching for the sole Gale wolf, was a total of 74. Fun fact, how the magic stones work in this, is. Every time the amount is doubled, an increase of 50% happened.

I took out the old magic stone from the hidden part of the blade, and then started to cut 64+1(As a source for the effect and the others to strengthen the effect) magic stones, causing the strength of the 'Bouncing claw' effect to increase by 350%. The first magic stone increased it by 50%, then see how many times you need to double it to get 64, then do that; 6x50+50=350%

Then I put a ring with the leftover 8+1 ring to increase the speed of the first close range attack by 17.5%. (5%x3.5)

if we add that to the original 5% of that other ring, that's 22.5%.

Now, let's think of how to kill it.

A Gale wolf's home/nest/or whatever is usually 120m away from their source of water, and about 320-620 meters away from a notable source of food.

There's a fresh-water lake about 95m away, that's within the margin of error, the most important one is the food, and that's about 530m away as D-rank Meefolu, a sort of sheep that has sturdy wool, and is pretty hard to kill due to their packs of over 70 Meefolu, they sort-off look like bufalo. They're usually a staple diet of C-ranks due to their adaptability to most environments.

That means that it's regular routine would be 'go to the lake -> go to sleep -> go to the lake -> Go to sleep -> Meefolu have losened their tension -> Go to them -> Eat one of them -> Repeat.'

Since it usually goes to the lake, let's set an ambush on it's way there, instead of at the lake where it's caution is at it's highest.

The path to the lake is always an arch instead of a straight line to confuse beings that wish to hunt them, theorized to be a twisted joke by the developers, it's really funny to see newbie streamers make the mistake that it goes in a straight line.

So, if I wait... Let's say here, it was also close to the time of day a Gale wolf drinks.

After a few minutes of waiting with Asmodeus, the Gale wolf was about to pass-by

A <Warfare alchemist> has a skill that's kind of nice, <Warfare distribution>; throw a potion/elixir at an ally, if that ally catches it, they'll be able to drink it 100% faster for 2 seconds.

But they actually need to catch that potion, and that's very hard, for trash.

I jumped infront of the Gale wolf after drinking both the 'Speedy boi' and 'Lesser strength' potions.

The Gale wolf was far faster than the Wind wolf, but extremely predictable, letting me side-step it, then again when it quickly attacked again.

Now, it was time to how my power, I put my sword up in the time that the Gale wolf took to get back into balance, then striked down against it's head, too fast for it's opening filled, at the moment, form to evade.

In this slash two skills were over lapped while including all the boosts, but then I used Wind claw, with all five charges too.

But in the end, all which it did was cause it to fall to the ground with an extremely wounded head, not having recieved the combo boost. But that fall caused an opening, as such, I, with an upwards slash...

I put my hand into it's chest and scrounged around for a C-rank magic stone, after that I started to harvest all the things worthwhile, bones, good meat, fur, hide, that's it.

Then I had Asmodeus carry it, I harvested the magic stone, then rid back to the city.

I entered the guild with an air of arrogance this time, with Asmodeus acting like my attendant "I'd like to sell Gale wolf meat, it's in his back-pack." I said to the receptionist-girl.

Which caused her to spit out the water she was drinking "Pfff! Uh... Did I hear you correctly? Gale wolf meat?"

"Yea you did hear correctly, Asmodeus, put it on the table." I said with a bit of impatience.

Asmodeus put a rapped-up by cloth thing on the table, then un rapped the cloth, revealing about 3 pounds of meat, it was easy to carry since; He had a +18 modifier to strength.

"I need an appraiser for this, p-please wait for that, could I see your guild card?" The guild girl was obviously nervous, as she pressed a button for an appraiser.

"Sure," I threw it on the desk "But make it snappy."

The guild girl took it, and put in on the device used to check it.

"Pfff!" The guild girl had another shock, and remembered protocal "Sir, it seems you've met the conditions to become a C-rank, do you wish to rank up?"

"Of course I do, who wouldn't? Maybe someone who doesn't want to be better than a farmboy." I answered my own answer, with disdain.

I took my adventurer's liscence the moment it was presented to me, ah~ C-rank is the rank at which I can start a guild! When that happens I'll get a ton of perks, and then I'll also turn other guilds into my subsidiaries!

After about 3 minutes an appraiser came around and quickly used inspect on the meat "It's Gale wolf meat, don't worry."

After that, the guild girl offered about 123000g for the meat, but I wasn't having it, and haggled it out with her.

Causing me to have 175439g in my pocket when I left the Adventurer's guild.

Next goal, another city, with a good few monsters around, and a few big dungeons. And hopefully a hidden tiger (A monster of at least A-rank or higher monster, up to SS-rank that isn't a problem currently.)

And that would be 'Burin', it's a dungeon 'City' city, not a playground for a parasite marquess and his trashy parasite heir. Filled with merchants, hotels, and such things, absolutely packed, with the strongest adventurers there being the A-rank guild 'Hemoil's hand', it was filled with religious zealots of the godess of the hunt Hemoil.

They weren't concerned for the town's state, and were mostly getting rid of monsters since they were trying to get strong enough to hunt down that hidden tiger, which was;

A Winter megapithocus, a giant gorilla like monster at the upper rings of S-rank, specialized in AOE's, making team play against it a nightmare. It counters guild raids and such, making it a miniture fragment of hell to hunt for S-rank guilds and below.

Of course, I have confidence that I could kill it like killing a child, as long as I prepare with a fire dungeon as my muse. If I even get septuple-cell or ninetuple-cell, I'll be able to do this as if killing an annoying fly.

it would take about a week to get there, so it was time to leave, but before that, buy some materials, mostly herbs, so that I can make 10 permanent agility booster potions of the lowest prestige.

This cut down on his money reserves to only 153642g left over.

I quickly rushed out of the city, made the ten potions, and then went on on my way with my Wind wolf.

I stopped at a nearby town to quickly get access to a smithy, but for some reason, everything was cheaper than it should be here. This fun fact brought a tear to my eye, someone actually had anyone celebrate their birthday... Anyways! A day or two later I arrived with Asmodeus at Burin.
