Chapter 88

"Are you calm now?" I rested my forehead against his.

"Why would you protect him? He tried to hurt us and then he kicked me out of my own home." He grabbed my hand and looked at me with hurt eyes.

"He was here because he wanted to make sure I didn't alter the treaty between vampires and wolves. Now I think I need your help getting up." I tried to get up but wasn't able to lift myself up past my knees. He slid out from underneath me and pulled me up.

"Lets get you back inside."

"I didn't want to tackle you to the ground." I spoke sheepishly.

"I know you didn't. You seem to be getting weaker or you're having more control over yourself because that didn't hurt as much."

"You realize you're going to have to fix the windows." I looked at the shattered glass on the ground.

"I'll call and assistant of the council to come fix them. Lets get you back in bed." He sounded irritated and I felt it too.

"Talk to me." I stopped walking.

"About what?"
