Chapter 2: Prison Visit

After a month of being locked up, he was treated roughly the man has lost all hope of getting out, he even tried escaping but the guards stopped him right away, one day though the man gets a special message from the guards

"The Princess will visit you soon, don't try anything or we'll kill you"

The man nods even though he couldn't understand a word they said

A FEW HOURS LATER

The man hears footsteps going closer to him and then he sees the woman he saw from the castle

The woman tries to explain her visit in every language she knows but the man is clueless about what she's saying

"I want to know what language you spoke and why you don't understand our language Questerian, so I visited you"

The woman notices the man still looks confused and like he doesn't understand any of the languages at all, so she decided to cast a translation spell on both of them so they could understand each other.

The woman repeats what she said and the man finally understood her, the man was surprised and somewhat happy he could finally understand her, he decided to test out if he could understand her by answering her questions while pleading he's innocent

"I don't speak your language because I'm not from this world, I'm here in search of my separated brothers whom I got separated from during the Omni-nova, so please let me go I didn't mean anything malicious when I hid in your closet, I was just trying to find an exit while not wanting to get caught"

The woman was a bit bewildered by his backstory and that made her grew curious about this man but first, she wanted to ask the obvious

"why were you even in my castle to begin with?"

"Humanoid-looking birds attacked me so I ran, hit a stone wall, climbed it, and jumped into an open window, once I saw the birds retreating, first thing I did was trying to get out of the castle, I knew jumping down from the window wasn't an option at first glance so I tried looking for a way out, but I saw 2 people who looked like guards so I broke into the first room I saw to hide"

The woman said "You don't look like you're lying but I won't let you go that easily, you still need punishment for breaking into my room... how about you work for me as a servant, oh wait can you answer this question?" she grabs the pencil from her pocket "what can this pencil of yours do anyway?"

The man grabbed the pencil from her and says "you see this pencil can create objects and it can erase objects as well, downsides are the objects it creates last for 10 minutes and it can only erase non-sentient objects, every time I erase something the Pencil's eraser gets shorter and it needs about 2 months to regenerate, the bigger the object the more the eraser gets shorter"

The woman now knows what punishment he should have "you need to be my knight, manservant, and a castle caretaker. Oh! and also answer all the questions I ask you honestly"

The man agrees just wanting to get out of the dungeon but then he noticed they never told each other their names so he told her "Mam! I don't know your name yet"

the woman replies "well it's Vanta, Vanta Cuhullin, anyway what's your name?"

the man says "Well I'm honored to be in your presence, Miss Cuhullin, I'm Danger Hemonon"

Vanta starts to burst with laughter "HAHAHA WHAT A STRANGE NAME!"

Danger gets irritated "HEY IT'S RUDE TO MAKE FUN OF SOMEONE'S NAME"

Vanta ignored Danger and continued laughing for 15 minutes straight, she eventually calms down and tells the guards to release him and once Danger was released she told Danger "I'll let one of my servants show you around the castle once we arrive there"

Danger asks "Oh! can I ask, who's gonna teach me my jobs?"

Vanta replied "The servants, the other caretakers, and the knights that serve me, I'll ask them to show you the ropes of your new jobs, Oh... and let me give you your rules, number one, treat me with respect, number two, don't disobey the commands I give you, if you fail to follow these two rules, I will tell the guards to tie you up so I can grab that stupid pencil of yours and shove it down your throat"

Danger replies "y-yes mam..."
