Preparing To Head For Dunkirk

"I've had my fill of Hitler. These conferences called by a ringing of a bell are not to my liking; the bell is rung when people call their servants. And besides, what kind of conferences are these? For five hours I am forced to listen to a monologue which is quite fruitless and boring."

Benito Mussolini-to his son-in-law, June 10, 1941

----------------------------------------------------------

John Paul:

["Host It is best if you make preparations for Dunkirk. This will allow you to gain the most points due to the amount of Allied Infantry trapped on the beaches."]

"I understand but how am I meant to drive myself. I was a human not a tank for Christ sake."

["To Drive I recommend the host think of being above the tank. With a desk and telephone."]

"Okay, but what is that meant to do." As I was speaking I thought of what the system asked of me and after a few seconds. I materialized above the tank with a desk and a bell telephone lying on top of it.

["Very good, you are learning well. Maybe my creator was right about you."]

"Your creator? Is he God or a being of higher power."

["You will learn of him once. He wants you to know about him now with that over. Grab the telephone and tell the tank crew to make preparations for Dunkirk"]

"What am I meant to give them command for everything? That is impractical, Its like being an officer and sitting in the back and issuing commands to guys on horses and deliver the messages a kilometer from me."

["Host I believe you are over exaggerating. However, we have taken this into account allowing you to take control of the crew or having the crew go into autopilot."]

"autopilot?"

["It is where it is controlled on it's own. As the crew themselves are their own human beings they can of course go into auto pilot mode."]

"Wait so who do they the guy speaking from the speaker is?"

["They believe It is a German official second to that of Hitler himself?"

"I see, well its time to get this show on the road."

I grabbed the telephone a brand that I have used quite a few times and opened my mouth to speak.

"Tiger II crew-001. Start advancing to Dunkirk the German army will need your armour and coverage you will provide."

----------------------------------------

Peter Muller:

I looked around and saw Hartmann our loader.

"Is the ammunition ready, Hartmann?"

"Yes, Commandant." He looked at me before replying with a small tremor in his voice

I nodded to him and waited for the command from our unknown General.

"Kertz, how's the beast holding up?"

"Its doing fine. No problems yet, just hope we don't encounter any. I don't want to be bogged down in the countryside of France even if it's nice and lovely." Kertz spoke with a chuckle to the end of the sentence as he was fidgeting with the gears and clutch.

Suddenly a noise came from the speaker.

"Tiger II Crew-001. Start Advancing to Dunkirk the German army will need your armour and coverage you will provide."

Hearing this I smile, "Kertz you heard the man. Head for Dunkirk."

Suddenly Schroder decided to speak up.

"Why does he want us to be meat shields, we could easily advance and stomp out the British and French army with this tank. They wouldn't stand a chance."

"It might be due to supply and our soldiers lives are more important than the murder of soldiers from the other side."

"Commander we could end this war quick and easy, why draw it out any longer."

"We will only know when we arrive at the destination. Now focus on the tasks you've been given."

Suddenly I felt Kertz put the tank into gear and off we went. Once the tank started moving I opened my cupola and peered out of it to get a better view.

--------------------------------------------

John Paul:

I watched as the tank has taken off from its original position and I was hovering above it like a person watching a movie that I have a say in.

"System, Is it possible for me to get a news paper?"

["Of course host, The news papers will appear on your desk but the dates may be mixed up. So you might get a newspaper from 2014 or one about something from 1683"]

"I don't mind, I just want some entertainment as I'll be here for a while. If the tank keeps moving at its current pace."

As I looked at my surroundings, I saw farms and vineyards which were nothing special for France but it did bring back memories of when I was growing up on my father fields. Chasing my dog for hours or when I would lay on the haystack with my sweetheart dreaming about our future together with looking at the stars. As I was reminiscing a stack of newspaper landed on my desk.

I grabbed the first news paper and unfolded it. The title was bold and large and said "New Machine Unveiled at Battle Of Dunkirk" The date of publishment was the 6th of June 1940. Seeing this made my jaw drop.

Reading the Title and Date over again I was baffled it was a newspaper of the future even if only by 30 days. As I read further it stated

The Daily Telegraph June 6th, 1940

New Machine Unveiled at Battle of Dunkirk

In a shocking turn of events, a new German tank was unveiled during the Battle of Dunkirk that has left military experts baffled. Dubbed the "Tiger II," this machine is unlike anything that has been seen before on the battlefield.

Sources on the ground report that the Tiger II is heavily armored and incredibly powerful, with a cannon that can easily take out any Allied tank or vehicle in its path. Witnesses describe the tank as being almost twice the size of any other tank currently in use by the German army, and its appearance has caused panic among Allied troops.

"It was like something out of a nightmare," said Private James Thompson, who was on the front lines during the battle. "We had no idea what it was at first, but as soon as we saw the firepower it was packing, we knew we were in trouble."

Despite the appearance of this new weapon, British troops have not given up hope. Our sources report that British engineers are already working on developing a new tank to counter the Tiger II's capabilities. Military leaders have also urged the public to remain calm and continue to support the war effort.

"The appearance of this new tank is certainly concerning, but it is not a reason to panic," said General John Smith in a statement to the press. "We will continue to fight for our freedom and our country, and we will not be deterred by this new threat."

As the battle for Dunkirk Ends, the appearance of the Tiger II has added a new level of uncertainty to an already tense situation. However, British troops remain determined to fight on and overcome this latest challenge in the war against Germany.

Reading this I was shocked, This newspaper should even be published as of yet and somehow I was able to get it. Realizing I have hit a gold mine for information I couldn't be anymore happy.
