" Come out Newbie " Shouted one of the guards .

I slowly opened my eyes knowing that I was gonna need some time to adjust to the light . I stood up on my feet blinking a few times to adjust to the light but each time I was blinded.

" Go shower and make your way to the field " he said in his usual harsh voice making a disgusted face .

" Sir if you are so disgusted by this place why don'tyou just get stronger ?" I asked not showing any emotion on my face to cause confusion. In my last life he honestly hated me for getting in trouble so often and having him guard me .

He looked taken aback but before he could recover I ran to my room for fresh clothes.

" Can someone clean this room , Tom clean up this mess ." he yelled .Now you know why he hates it .

I went to the showers after grabbing a short and a t-shirt . I ran a cold shower since hot water was rare for us here at the military . After 15 minutes of scrubbing I was satisfied to have gotten rid of the dirt and the smell of death. I put on my fresh clothes , threw my old ones in the nearest trash bin and headed to the field.

The field was were most of the battles were done in the past I was beaten half to death by the people I thought were my friends. It was as big as a soccer field but the was no grass just sand . This was outside surrounded by a forest . I walking on to the field were most of the kids were sitting down In a circle and I already knew what will happen , a battle . I was a little confident even though I didn't know how to use my sign I already set a foundation and my Dark force has really increased.

" Great timing , hey dark haired come here . since you decided to be late you will be the captain of the red dragons combat opponent " yelled the battle instructor.

One of the reasons I was discriminated was my white hair and ice blue eyes but he just said dark hair . I'll check it later for now I fight . I walked up into the circle. From my past life I know that the captain has a big ego and takes pride in his title . From my past life I have the advantage because of my battle experience and the system. He is one of many who rushed the progress and did not lay a strong foundation . The only reason he was named captain was because of his brute strength but his all muscle and no brains .

The captain of the red dragons walked into the circle with a big grin on his face . All the students gasped and whispered among themselves . He was a foot and a half taller than me , was 5 years older and weighed what looked like three times my weight . I already know his sign is wind and that he can control it and use it with his fighting techniques. All I have to do is hit his weak spots .

" You know the rule , our one and only rule the are no rules in battle . You may start " he said .

The big big charged straight towards me , his speed was impressive but fortunately because of the system I was faster . I waited for the last moment and then run back two steps making him lose his balance as he took a swing his first hitting the ground causing the dust to fog around us . He kept his balance for a bit , I kicked the back of his knee sending him to the ground .

" You piece of shit " he yelled charging again . This time instead of dodging I did a quick step sending a knee to his stomach . I backed away again as he got up a little faster driving his shoulders deep on my stomach, definitely broke a ring or two .

You're so dead " he yelled panting and laughing with me under him.

He threw sloppy angry hummer punches , they were falling like rain in the Amazon. He lifted him self using wind which caused an uproar from students . Using the wind he was faster than me but still brainless . I waited till the last second to move but not before taking another huge hit to my ribs . I backed away a bit more trying to create as much distance.

[ Healing comensing ]

Does this mean I can heal because of the energy demon now. Come to think of it , my sense have all dramatically increased which makes it better in this case . I moved three steps to my right in order to dodge what looked like a wind attack. I need to get rid of the wind but I don't know how to use my sign .

" What's wrong can't use your sign little one " he said laughing sending a wind attack. I avoid most of it but it still hit me sending me to the ground .

" Or is it that you don't have one " he continued .

I sat down at looked up at the sky before taking a deep breath .

" You piece of shit , HOW DARE YOU MOCK ME THE CAPTAIN OF THE RED DRAGONS " he yelled .

" If your team was as great and big as your ego you would be out on missions unfortunately your the bottom team meaning your here meaning you failed as a captain." I said slowly standing up .

One weakness I can use to my advantage is using words to pound his ego , I had heard that he can't control his anger. A person who fights purely on emotions makes sloppy, predictable moves and that is what I want .

" You little shit, I'm gonna kill you " he said letting all hell loose.

He had lost all control making his moves predictable and easy to dodge . He charged right at me not using his wind sign . I kicked the back of knee and sent a knee to his stomach. Then hit him with an elbow at the back of his head and let him hit the ground .

I slowly made my way towards the captain, bent down resting my knee on his back and pulled his head by his head so that now my lips were close to his ear and whispered

" So much for the captain , no wonder your team is still at the bottom . You're egoist , have brute strength but no brains and take pride in being a captain. Now look at you defeated by a 10 year old boy with no sign , you're pathetic " . I kept increasing my weight making him scream in pain.

This is exactly what he did to me in my past life after he broke most of my ribs , right arm and gave me a concussion.

" Enough , kid let go " The battle instructor ordered.

I got up slowly with a slim smirk on my lips looking at the captain cry in pain. What a sweet sweet way to start my life .

" Someone get Captain Don to the infirmary and you what's your name " he said massaging his temple .

" Xavier , sir " I answered being at ease .

" Take a seat the next two step up and let's continue with the battle " he said .

I took a seat at the back and the next two stepped up .

I lay on my bed in a room I share with 30 others and godess I hated it .

" Yoh Xavier that was a pretty amazing fight , I won the fight with the second in command and you won against the captain. Even though I only got him out of the ring and you actually pinned the captain and also insulted his team . You're so cool ." Coal said with a huge smile on his face .

In my past life he was my bestfriend and the strongest in the academy. I followed him everywhere he went because he was one of two that didn't betray me but after my father bought out of the camp to save Michael —his oldest and hier to the thrown — I never saw him again.

" I wasn't really paying attention to your fight but now I know that you won . " I said.

" Damn i thought you were gonna cry like last time but i guess being stuck in a dark , quiet room with a corpse changes people . I would've bet that you would've cried for help or something but you stood your ground and fought. " he cheered .

He wasn't wrong in my past life that's what happen but I am not naive anymore.

" Lights out " one of the instructors yelled .

In my past life I used to hate lights out and would never sleep when told leading me to be punished. Only to be chained in the palace , not having even a bed . I went straight to sleep . Tomorrow was gonna be a long day meaning I have to wake up early I'll have to wake Coal too .

I woke up early it was still dark outside , in my past life we were all punished because we were not ready in time but this time I was ready and prepared. Waking up Coal and telling him to bring fresh training gear and not casual clothes we make our way to the showers .

" Why are we taking a shower this early . I bet it's still night time . " Coal complained yawning.

" because when I was in the isolated area I heard the guards talk about how we have to get ready before our instructors tells us to " I lied washing my hair .

" Oh ok I guess but why wake only me up , what about the rest ?" he asked .

" Because your my only friend here " I said rinsing the soap from my hair .

" Did you just call me your friend , this is the best day of my life " he said dramatically .

" Yeah yeah shut up already " I said turning of the water and drying my self .

" I am just happy for the hot water. Thank you godess ." he said also drying himself .

We put on our gear and headed back to the room to pack up and make our beds before the instructor arrives . We had a good 30 minutes of talking before the door was kicked , I got up standing at attention with Coal as the rest of the room were asleep. Big mistake . The instructor looked at me and Coal before turning on the lights and pressing the bottom that played the siren.

People jolted up and some fell of the bed before making this way to the front of the beds . People were yawning and rubbing their eyes no wonder he is mad .

" You two black head and the one next to him head out and follow the green light everyone else heard to the red light . You have 5 minutes " he yelled leaving the room .

I jogged with Coal following the green lights . Even though this was a hell the military put alot of money in the technology . I have already been here the obstacle course of blood and tears.

" Two made it , that's two more than last time . My name is Shadow and I am your physical trainer. I swear I don't pretend to be a bully to sacre kids . " he said with a smile he is one of the few that don't put up a facade to look scary .

" Nice to meet you sir my name is Coal and here is Xavier " Coal said with a bigger smile .

I looked at Shadow even though he looks like a punk he is not to be underestimated .

" Now you will do the course and after your done I'll show you how it's done and you'll do it again but the time I well be there to tell you what to do and what not to do .

The course starts with monkey bars that are not only slippery but hot , a leopard crawl that only gets lower the more you crawl with a mud like substance , a balancing pillar over water making it move according to the flow of the water , a pool that's Ice cold and halfway lava hot then the final climbing up a wall made of wood only to get down by using ropes with spikes . The blood and tears course .

Coal started the course only to go through two monkey bars until Shadow tells him to move one . As he was doing the course I took out a bandage I brought and tied my hands wearing gloves over the bandage. I remember shadow teaching us exactly how to tightly tie it around our hands.

I also took off my shirt and did my warm ups after 50 minutes Coal appeared covered in blood and looked as if he had been crying.

" You ready Xavier ... woah someone came prepared okay let's go " he said as he stared his stopwatch.

I backed away running towards the monkey bars for 10 seconds and did what Shadow calls the quick touch. You grab the bar for less that 2 seconds before you go to the next keeps your legs lifted by the time I was my hands burnt like hell .

I went on to the crawl quickly digging my way through instead of crawling the lower the bar the lower I went until I finally crawled out and the only reason was because of the soil , it was make so it was easy to dig and if you put enough weight you would sink a bit .

I looked at the pillar instead of jumping head first . The moves were predictable so I followed the pattern stopping once in a while after the pattern changes .

I dive right in the pool knowing what to do I dove right at the bottom walking using my hands generating heat from my core and using as little energy and I can . I immediately resurfaced when I reached the hot side using my core to cool down my nerves , tissues and blood cell .

Climbing the wall was simply the hard part was the rope instead of pushing through pain i simply jumped down even though the landing was rough my hands were safe .

Shadow looked at me for about 5 minutes before he said " 25 minutes that amazing the fasted student I have ever seen ." I scrambled to the ground feeling exhausted.

" How did you even ? " Coal asked shocked .

" I watched you and used my speed and strength to be able to finish I course . " i lied .

We watched as Shadow finish the course in 15 minutes leaving Coal supprised and determine .

For next 2 hours we repeated the course with Shadow going over what we should do and how to do it . Coal could finally finish it and boy was he happy . By the time our class came back I had perfected the course and improved my speed and strength greatly.

Shadow told us to take a break as he attended to the rest of the class.

After setting my foundation my Dark force was 30 means that 2 hours of training on the course I increased by 15 . Crossed fire ? maybe its because the fire is mixed with demon energy oh that reminds me I have to train for the tornment in two months with the rival academy.

In my past life we were told about it a week before and damn we got slaughtered. I also have to make sure Coal is well prepared and know how to beat his opponent.

I signed looking at the naive kids crying on the course soon most will be dead and the rest will be murders . I wonder is we're allowed combat gear now ? So much work .
