Reborn to be the strongest God

After Centuries of being the Demonlord, Gerar quits. Why must he torture men when it's no longer fun? Why must he conquer the world when there's nothing to gain from it? Why must he be the demon lord when there's nothing left to challenge? So, he decides to quit and just dies. But instead of being reborn as a weak demon or even a human, he gets reborn as an Angel and thus his journey to supreme godhood begins! . .. ... Hi, Yet here- So, this is a fantasy story but there are also sci-fi elements. There's a harem but Mc's not particularly into romance. This story is basically a culmination of the things I find interesting and hopefully, you guys will find it interesting too (It'll keep on evolving into different coherent stories as the volumes pile up). This'll also be my largest planned novel yet, so let's see how that turns out. I'll try to keep the updates regular and will release bonus chapters if I can. In return, I expect votes. Oh yeah, I do have a server. https://discord.gg/vnnbHCJ4Sn Thank you for reading; I wish you a good day.

It draws near

In the beginning, before the age of the gods- there was a particular race.

They ruled the universe- yes, just one.

Back then, the multiverse did not exist.

That particular race was so advanced, they could manipulate time, space, and even life…

As a culmination of their tech, they made one tree capable of bestowing life; their final invention.

The world tree.

No one knew what happened to them. But some believed they were destroyed and now roam as husks in the void.

The Fallen.

***

"This is outrageous!"

Slam!

One of the four supreme gods- Sir Cumsalot, the silver shining knight, slammed his fist on the table- glaring at the three before him- particularly at the golden knight, Sir Fucksalot. "What are your excuses?" He demanded.

"None," Sir Fucksalot said, not even batting an eye, sipping that orange liquid from that blue cup.

White room-

Lots of bright-

Really quiet.

Just the four-

"Let's calm down now-" said Sir Excalathor, the knight in dazzling Bladed blue armor-

"Calm down and then what? The problem still persists-" said Sir Skullmandathor, the knight in bone plate. Pure black.

Sir Skullmandathor had his face hidden in his bony helmet, and his two glowing red eyes glistened even in this bright white space.

Meanwhile- the other three had their faces right out in the open, without opting for any helmets.

They were the four supreme gods-

They were friends-

Eternal comrades-

Or so heaven knew.

But-

"Don't fuck with me!" Sir Cumsalot shot up- glaring. "Every single one of you knew! All of you are equally guilty!"

They remained quiet- while Sir Fucksalot continued sipping his tea.

Which only fumed Cumsalot even more.

But he let out a sigh and sat down.

Continuously getting more and more worked up wasn't doing him any good.

"I know it's hard to accept this, even I only noticed yesterday-" Excalathor said. "Lord Arkharane secretly planned all this for millions of years and thus- thus we… couldn't know."

"We're the supreme gods! If we don't know- and things happen, what's the point of us being at the top?" Cumsalot argued. "Besides, this could very well lead to war!"

"We're aware-" Skullmandathor said. "However, there's little we could do at this stage. They're already here. And if they should declare war, thousands would perish. Even with the world tree, we wouldn't be able to revive so many, in such a short amount of time."

"So, you're suggesting, we sit down and do nothing!?" Cumsalot roared.

Fucksalot let out an exaggerated sigh. "Why must you always whine so much?"

"And why must you always relax? This is serious."

"Because it's pointless to get worked up over something so simple."

"Simple?"

"Yes. Even if the Fallen should invade and eradicate all life here- as long as we survive, we can always rebuild. Besides, if we use this as a chance and wipe them out for all eternity, we'll be free for a long, long while!" His voice was level.

Cumsalot didn't fume. He didn't even bother making a comeback. However- he snorted. "Always so eager to just give up. Life has value. But I suppose someone such as you shall not understand the value of such."

Fucksalot set out a snort. "And someone such as you will never understand the value of never letting them stand again!"

Meanwhile-

The other two sighed.

"Want to go grab something to eat?" Excalthor asked.

"You know I don't require sustenance," Skullmandathor said.

"Yeah but… don't you want to get out of here?"

A shrug. "Why? Isn't this amusing?"

"How?"

***

Mihael was back home.

His parents welcomed him in.

The high angel was also with him.

Together they had a late lunch.

Apparently, his parents were actually expecting him to show up.

His mother had said something along the lines of- "I just had a feeling you were coming."

With lunch over, Mihael went to his room.

Meanwhile-

"How has he been?" Mihael's mother asked-

"Better than I expected," Sarveisa said. "I actually didn't expect him to listen to me at all. However, he's fairly reasonable. Oh yes- I've admitted him to the Godness Gracicus Academy as a God candidate. I should have informed you beforehand but times were a little rough."

"Rough? How do you mean?" Mihael's father asked.

Neither of his parents were surprised at their child being a god candidate. After all-

"I- well, we left Lord Xorax's place and now staying in the north in the Etheorum District."

"You mean, now you are… renegades?" Mihael's father, Derke asked.

"Just me. Since the house would be in my name. However, I am working at Godness Gracicus Academy as well, so I have enough money to keep us fed."

"However-" Mina managed, clearly concerned.

"He's been reading books diligently and has also made his first friend. He has made a holy beast submit to him and already acquired one certificate of divinity. I guarantee you, by the time he is done, he will already be a god-"

"That's fine and all but-" Derke stared. "What about you?"

"Me?" Sarveisa asked.

"Yes. Why are you doing this? Leaving your god for-"

"Don't misunderstand. We already made a deal- once he becomes a god, he will fulfill one of my wishes."

"I-I see… if Mihael agreed to that, I have no qualms. However-"

"Don't worry. It'll be within his power and would not put him in any sort of danger." The high angel chuckled.

Even so-

It was not easy to swallow that.

But if that was their son's decision, even if that son was barely two and a half at this point- they were going to respect that.

After all-

That's the oath they made when they first left their parents.
