CHAPTER 38- RETURNING TO THE DUNGEON

"It's ok, we'll talk some time" Jia said with a smile

Elizabeth nodded and Jia entered her room

Jia appeared to be disgusted

"What's wrong" Damon asked

"I hate hugs" Jia replied

Damon laughed his heart out

"We're going back there " Jia said

"Yeah" Damon replied with excitement

Jia told Elizabeth to come over

"Thank you. I am now at level 24" Elizabeth chirped excitedly

Jia's face was expressionless

"Have some more. Give anybody you wish to give. When you're done , get back here" Jia said handing Elizabeth a small jar of pills

Elizabeth rushed out excitedly

"Why are you doing pill giveaways" Damon could not help but ask

"And how is that your business" Jia replied questioningly

Damon facepalmed

Elizabeth returned with a smile

"I'm going to the dungeon today. Would you like to come along?" Jia asked slyly

"Uh sure. But is it just me and you" Elizabeth asked with uncertainty

Jia smirked

"What do you think" Jia said displaying her subordinates

Jia saw Elizabeth blush faintly

"Your friend is crushing on dead people " Damon said with a snort

"It's disturbing" Jia said mortified

"One of them is still alive" Damon replied

Jia's eyes widened

"Anyway,Are you going?" Jia asked Elizabeth

"Yes ,Of course" Elizabeth said with a grin

THE PETROVA DUNGEON

"Here we are. Again" Jia said sighing

They registered themselves before going in

"Stay close if you want to stay alive." Jia half threatened

Elizabeth nodded in fear

Jia let Elizabeth and her subordinates take care of the dungeon monsters

Occasionally,she stepped in to defeat the floor boss

The dungeon was a trans dimensional place

Different adventurers, Mercenaries would actually fight the same monster at the same time but in different dimensions.

Every twenty floors,The several dimensions would collide and everyone in the dungeon would fight against each other

Only the survivors could proceed to the next floor

"Begin the Livestream" Jia ordered the system

[Yes host] The system replied

"Fight with all you've got" Jia said boosting their morale

"Protect her,Make sure nothing happens to her " Jia ordered Feng

"I was right " Damon said smirking

Jia massaged her temples in frustration

"Here,You are going to need this" Jia said throwing Elizabeth her two sabers

"But" Elizabeth tried to say

"No buts " Jia said coldly shutting Elizabeth up.

Jia stared at the other adventurers with a cold smile

Some knew what went down every twenty floors. Some stared cluelessly

"As some of you know,A death match happens every twenty floors. You are to fight each other to the death. Only those who survive will proceed" The mechanical voice said with an evil laugh

Jia's team had quite the manpower but they appeared to be the weakest

All the other teams thought to converge on Jia's team and kill them before killing each other. Some teams did not interfere in the match .They hid themselves using Shadow concealment techniques

They stared at Elizabeth and Jia greedily

Jia already knew what was going on in their minds and cringed in disgust

Elizabeth immediately knew too. Her eyes shone with a weird red light

They all began to take hazy muddled steps

"Kill them all" Jia ordered her subordinates

"Yuki?" Damon murmured

Their attacks were flawed. They attacked each other instead of attacking Jia and her team.

Those in the shadows stared in shock

They all died

Elizabeth's eyes flashed back to normal

"Eli?What happened to you?" Jia asked

"Happened to me? " Elizabeth replied in confusion

"Do you remember when some people were trying to kill us and you got angry then your eyes shone brightly" Jia reminded her

"No,No I don't remember anything of such" Elizabeth said puzzled

"Who is she " Jia asked Damon

Damon shrugged

"Eli,who really are you?" Jia asked

"Who really am I? I don't know?" Elizabeth replied

"It's ok" Jia said holding Elizabeth's shoulder

'Feng ,you are to protect her from now on' Jia told Feng through telepathy

Feng smiled. His smile made the dungeon loose it's color

Jia was surprised as Feng never smiled

"What are you planning" Damon asked slyly

"What do you think" Jia replied with a smirk

Damon's eyes widened in realization

"How about you materialize a body for yourself" Jia said with a chuckle

"I can't" Damon said helplessly

Jia shrugged it off

"Why do you seem like you're talking to someone but in reality, there's no one there " Elizabeth asked

[Busted ;)] The system said

' This system is behaving human ' Jia thought

"Telepathy.I talk to all of them with telepathy" Jia lied smoothly.
