An hour later, the private doctor arrived at the villa.

Evander's blood was drawn and stored, and other examinations were done.

"Since I'm here, let me check your leg injury."

"No, there's nothing to check. It's still the same." Evander's face tensed instantly, and there was a faint hostility on his body.

The doctor sighed, "Evander, your state is not conducive to recovery."

"Recovery? What can I recover to?"

"Believe in miracles!"

Evander snorted coldly, "You, a doctor, talked about miracles with me?"

"Doctors all believe in miracles. Treatment requires cooperation between doctors and patients."

Seeing that Evander didn't speak, he changed the subject, "Oh, isn't Mrs. Graves also injured? Would you like me to have a look?"

Evander looked up at him and raised his eyebrows slightly, "You do care about her."
