AN: alright people listen up, as far as I can see it is a tied game between 2 hero names and to be honest I am happy with both so it is up to you to pick which one sounds the best and would fit the best in the story, the two hero names are

1: Inferno (however I found out this was apparently already a name, so IDK, the other character shouldn't be in this book however so choose freely)

Nathan White POV

*hard exhale*

*sharp inhale*

Sweat was dripping down my body, I looked to my side and saw that Superboy was in a similar state. I turned my gaze downwards and saw what was causing me so much trouble... It was leg day today. Basically I was working out my legs after realising that they played an important part in me becoming stronger and being able to use my fire powers better. As I was working out, I thought back to the conversation that I had with my mother just a couple of days before this.

*FLASHBACK* *que to time tunnel* Still Nathan POV

"We need to talk... Don't we"

My mother looked at me in the eyes and I swear I could see some kind of dark aura lingering around her, she finally broke the silence that had been covering us as she said

"I cannot believe you... Just as I thought that you had managed to betray all of my negative expectations of you. You go and do some of the stupidest shit I have ever seen you do... I mean seriously. First of all, you have been lying to my face for months, second of all, you have superpowers now, and third of all you became some sort of vigilante without telling me and without knowing how to use your powers or without knowing how to fight."

"I know mom... I am so sorry for not telling you but I know that you would have never let me become a hero, I mean there must have been some reason that I was given these powers. (that reason being I wished for them) I thought that you out of all people would be happy for me"

"Your my son Nathan! and you're going to be fighting villains that could kill you, what will I do then. You're the only thing I have left to remind me of your dad, and you think that I am just willing to give that up because now you suddenly have powers, be realistic here. You don't know how to fight, you don't know how to control your powers, and worst of all you don't even think on what consequences your actions have!"

I took a look at my mother, and saw that she had started to cry. And even though I am not her actual son, as I am reincarnated, I felt a great amount of internal pain wash over me, I looked at her and sighed before saying.

"Look I get that you are worried but that is why i am in this group now (even if I did not have that much of a choice) they will teach me how to fight and use my powers and they should teach us, me at least, how my actions have consequences now that I am a... Superhero? I guess"

She then looked at me, sniffed once more before grabbing me and pulling me into a hug, before saying

"I will never stop worrying about you, even if you were the strongest man in the world"

[AN: if you found that cringe, sorry not sorry, I am trying to add some emotion into this fic since I don't want it to be like a goddamn robot wrote this (since I have seen some fics like that) please give some feedback on how I can make this better, or if it is good. If you don't like it, please tell me why and don't just put 'cringe' as your reason, grow up and give me some constructive feedback please!

*End of flashback*

I had finished my workout and was breathing heavily while my legs were shaking, I looked around the room and realised that Superboy had left, probably while I was in my own head. I stood up, with some difficulty before I felt my entire body go warm and my muscles that were previously sore now be loose, thank god (literally) for giving me that minor gamer's body. I then felt like something was knocking on my head and realised that Megan was trying to enter my head, I felt some more pushing until I let her in, an she said

"Hey Nathan! Come join me and Superboy, we are by the computer, apparently we are meeting the team today! So exciting!!!"

I then felt some pressure leave my head as I looked up and sighed, I quickly showered and got dressed. I quickly left the dressing room and went towards the boom tube (that is what they are called right? It was between this and the zeta tube but I don't know which is which), when all of a sudden I head the robotic, but slightly feminine, voice say

"Recognised Robin,B-01, Kid Flash, B-03"

I turn towards the tube and saw two figures made entirely out of golden particles form into Robin and Kid flash both in their citizen clothing with Robin using a very nice pair of shades to hide his identity. Me, Robin, and Kid Flash all reached Superboy, Aqua lad, and Megan all at the same time.

"Did you ask him?"

"What did he say?"

Robin and Kid flash said as Aqua lad turned from the holographic screen that showed some kind of red figure approaching a red squared outline before saying

"No, I haven't asked him as he just arrived now"

"Well then what are we waiting for"

Kid flash said before he and robin both ran off towards the secret entrance of the secret base, before Aqua lad quickly followed as well. Superboy looked at me before walking towards the group as I just stuffed my hands in my baggy pants and walked at a calm pace towards the group gathering, cursing the fact that I had done leg day today. I then looked at Megan and said

"You coming or what?"

She smiled and started levitating? Flying? I am not 100% sure which it is but I wished I could do that without my body spewing flames everywhere, maybe if I only used heat as a method of carrying my body, like some sort of hot air balloon...No, that wont work.... UNLESS....No, never mind... flames it is then.

I had reached the group just as they had initiated the conversation with Red Tornado, just as he asked us

"Is there a reason you decided to intercept me outside the cave?"

Then Aqua lad, being the "group leader" of sorts said

"We had hoped that you would have a mission for us"

"Mission assignments are the Batmans responsibility"

Red tornado said, before Robin cut in saying

"But it has been over a week and nothing ha-"

"You will be tested soon enough. For the time being, simply enjoy each others company"

"This team is not a social club"

Aqua lad responded before Red tornado decided to shut things down and say

"No, but social interaction is an important team building exercise. Perhaps, you could keep busy by familiarising yourself with the cave"

Red tornado then walked away as Robin said

"Keep busy...Does he think that we are falling for this"

"Ohh, I'll find out"

Megan then turned around and stared intently at red tornado before sighing and saying

"I forgot that he is a machine, inorganic, so I can't read his mind...I'm sorry"

"Nice try though. Soooo uh, you know what I'm thinking right now"

"nice try, even I am able to tell what you are thinking right now"

I said to him, while looking at him like a disappointed parent, I then turned around before saying

"Well, since Megan, Superboy, and I live here we will give you the tour."

"Yeah that sounds like a fun idea!"

Megan said before Aqua lad said

"If you didn't forget this was meant to be a team building exercise"

"Alright, let's get started"

Time skip

"And that concludes the tour"

I said before walking towards the kitchen, they looked at me leave but did nothing to stop me. Once I arrived in the kitchen I pulled out the cookies that otherwise would have burned and used the heat manipulation part of my fire powers to cool down the cookies faster. All of a sudden I saw Megan zoom into the kitchen looking slightly concerned, she then looked at what I had done and said

"Wow Nathan, thanks so much. I had completely forgotten that I made cookies for the group"

"No worries, I realised that you must have forgotten about them and well... I wanted cookies if I am being honest"

She smiled and handed me a cookie before the rest of the group came and joined us. She gave them the similar story of her wanting to try some recipe from a cooking show before Kid flash started inhaling the cookies. I looked at him funny before finishing my, rather delicious, cookie. Kid flash noticed everyone staring at him and said, with a mouth full of cookies

"*Crunch* I...have a very high metabolism"

"I'll make more?"

Megan said sounding slightly surprised before Aqua lad said

"It was sweet of you to make any"

"Thanks Aqua lad"

"Please, we are off duty call me Kaldur, that's what my friends call me"

"And call me Wally..see I already trust you with my secret ID. Unlike dark glasses over here *points at Robin who puts his hands on his hips* Batman forbids Boy wonder from telling anyone his real name"

"You can call me Megan, since that is my earth name...and I'm on earth now"

Superboy then decided to walk away and Megan noticed this so she tried to mentally talk with Superboy

'Don't worry Superboy, we'll find you an earth name soon too'

Superboy grunted, looked at Megan and screamed

"Get out of my HEAD!"

Megan was taken aback, even flinched before telepathically asking the rest of the group

'What's wrong, I don't understand. Everyone one mars communicates telepathically'

"Megan stop it, things are different on earth, here your powers are an extreme invasion of privacy"

Aqua-lad said before Wally decided to add

"besides, Camus' freaky little genomes really left a bad taste in his brain"

"I-I-I'm sorry... I didn't kno-"

"Just stay out of my head!"

Megan then smacked herself in the head and said

"Hello Megan! I know what we can do, follow me"

she then flew towards the elevator and the rest of the guys followed her, except for me and Superboy. So I decided to go up to Superboy and say

"Hey man, I know that those Genome things left a bad taste for telepathic communication but you have to understand that all she has ever know is to talk that way. So it would be better if we just forget this incident and chalk it up to her being new to earth. Also, get up, we are going with them, just like Tornado said...we are a team"

Superboy looked at me before he grunted and stood up, I felt something tickeling my mind so I looked behind me and saw Megan smiling at me confused but I let her in and she said

"Wow! your mind is really strong...B-but thank you. I really wanted to make it up to Superboy"

I just nodded and followed Superboy and Megan towards the elevator.

Once we were at the garage, we then left the elevator and in front of us stood a large red egg. Megan then did jazz hands and said

"This is my Martian bio-ship"

"Cute...not aerodynamic, but cute"

Wally said before Megan giggled and said

"it's at rest silly, I'll wake it now"

She then flicked her hand out and all of a sudden the red egg was morphed into something akin to a futuristic alien plane, I thought it looked cool. The door to the plane then opened and Megan walked towards it and asked

"well are you coming"

Small timeskip

We were all flying in Megan's ship, and she was showing off her powers of shapeshifting. She was turning into the boys...Well, the female versions of them. She then said

"I can even do Nathan"

and all of a sudden she became basically a female version of Benimaru from fire force, and honestly it was both weird and hot at the same time. The guys laughed a bit before I heard Wally ask

"Hey Nathan, how do your powers work, I mean is it just you shooting fire?"

"Well, to be honest... I am not completely sure about the origins of my fire, all I know is that there must have been a reason for me to get them. If it helps, when I use my powers it feels like I wield the sun in my hands and use it as my play thing...I also feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of my powers yet."

I answered, we continued talking for a while until I heard a {Ding}

{Mission: Complete the first mission that Red Tornado gives you

Rewards: 1 gacha spin, 1000exp, 1 hell themed dungeon key ;)

Failure: your team will not be able to work together well}

I was looking at the screen in front of me when I heard a familiar robotic voice say

"Red tornado to Miss Martian. An emergency alert has been triggered at the happy harbor power plant. I suggest that you investigate,Covertly. I'm sending the coordinates"

"Received, adjusting course"

Megan answered while Robin scoffed and said

"I bet this is just Red Tornado trying to keep us busy again"

Narrator POV

The team arrived at the power plant, with the plain camouflaged of course, and Nathan looking to the side, said to Robin

"And I am willing to bet against you, I'll take cash please"

"What are you talking abou-"

Robin was about to say before he, and the rest of the team, looked out to where Nathan was looking and saw a tornado approaching the power plant. The tornado went inside the power plant and all of a sudden glass inside the plant started exploding outwards and people burst through the door.

Nathan and the team landed the plane and jumped out. Aqua-lad then went to ask Robin if Tornados where common in New England but there was no sign of Robin and all that was left was the sound of some creepy laughter. Nathan sighed and said

"That moron probably went ahead of us, let's hurry up to the plant"

Nathan's feet the burst into fire and he shot forwards towards the plant with the rest of the team following shortly after. Nathan just got into the plant when Robin was thrown into a pillar next to him, he looked at Robin and said

"Well, are you going to introduce me to your new friend"

"Ha-Ha-Ha, I would love to but I didn't quite catch his name, all I know is that he plays quite rough"

Robin responded before the robotic looking fellow said

"My apologies, but you may address me as Mr. Twister"

the team arrived and tried to rush into the fight but all got thrown away by Mr. Twister, quite easily. To gloat he said

"You know I came here prepared for a fight. I, however, was not expecting any children to show up. Tell me, have you no adult supervision"

Robin got angry and tried to say that they weren't kids, but Mr. Twister wasn't having it. Nathan however, did not rush into anything. He focused on trying to see if there was any weaknesses that he could exploit. He paid extra attention since air was his natural enemy. Since the oxygen improves the strength of his attack but it also forces the attack back at him. Nathan noticed that the air came from the tubes connected to the guys back so he looked at Robin and the team, who had now formed behind him and just pointed at his back. They all looked slightly confused before Nathan just sighed and looked forwards again, only to be smacked in the face by a tornado.

Nathan was thrown into the wall, the impact made him spit out saliva and gasp in air. He looked at Twister with anger before he gathered fire at his feet and flew up and towards Mr. Twister. Nathan saw that Mr. Twister was about to launch his tornado so he abruptly stopped his fire making him shoot forward and because of this sudden stop and decrease in speed Mr. Twister missed Nathan and Nathan shot into Twister with quite the force making them both fly out of the factory. Nathan was on top of Mr. Twister as he gather flames into his hands and shot them into Mr. Twister's chest with as much force as he could gather before Nathan and his flames were shot off, making Nathan get tornado-ed back to his friends.

Nathan was stopped by Megan before he could get hurt as she said

"No worries Nathan I got you"

What she, and the rest of the team missed was Wally also getting shot back by Mr. Twister and, because Megan was busy with Nathan, hit the wall. Nathan looked at Mr. Twister and saw that the tubes on Mr. Twisters back were slightly melted but the biggest damage was the chest piece that had been deformed due to the intense heat of Nathan's flame. Aqua-lad then said

"What do you want!"

"Isn't it obvious, A real fight"

Mr. Twister responded to which Nathan said

"Megan read his mind, quickly"

"I thought I wasn't supposed to do that though"

"It's okay with the bad guys!!"

Robin said to Megan as she quickly closed her eyes and put two fingers to her forehead, almost like she was about to instant transmission into his head. She then frowned and said

"Nothing, I'm getting nothing...*she hit herself on the forehead* Hello Megan! Mr. Twister is Red Tornado in disguise. He is inorganic an android, and how many androids do you know that can generate tornados"

"Red tornado sent us here!"

Aqua-lad shouts

"After saying we'll be tested soon enough, this is his test. Something to keep us busy"

Robin said, before Wally added on

"Speedy called it, we're a joke"

Nathan then said

"Guy's I don't think that is Red Tornado. First of all, Red tornado doesn't need to use those tubes to access his powers, second of all they do not sound the same, and third of all what are the chances that the league are willing to pay a damage bill on an entire power plant just so they will be able to test us...In my opinion this seems like a real bad guy situation"

"Nathan stop trying to excuse the league, it;s obvious what they are doing and frankly I don't think that as the guy that was only able to make it into this group because the league didn't want you walking around unsupervised, that you are allowed to speak when most of us have actual hero experience"

Wally said making Nathan narrow his eyes at him and grit his teeth. The group, - Nathan, approached Mr. Twister and Robin said

"We know who you are and what you want so let's end this"

"Consider it ended"

Mr. Twister said before gathering a massive tornado above his head making the sky turn grey and thunder start to appear above him. Seeing that sh*t was about to go down Nathan used all the speed available to him and shot toward Mr. Twister. Nathan was turning into a blur and he was even going so fast that his body glitched a couple of times before he turned around and double kicked Mr. Twisters arm's making the thunder miss his teammates and hit a couple of trees. but what Nathan wasn't expecting was that Twister had more lightning up his sleeve. Twister shot a lot of thunder and lightning causing Nathan to get fried and get shot towards his teammates with even more lightning following behind him. Multiple explosions were seen and the entire group was shocked. [AN: Shocked... get it]

Twister then approached them but when the smoke cleared the kids weren't there, he got angry and said

"Fine! I'll admit that you kids may got some power but I can not waste any time playing hide and seek with mere children, so do not interrupt me again...or you'll regret it!"

Twister then flew off as the camouflage disapeared to reveal the entire group, and one twitching Nathan, underneath Megan's plane.

Timeskip Nathan's POV

I woke up and the first thing that I saw was Megan talking to Red Tornado on a screen in her plane. I then heard

"Hello Megan, I know what to do now! I have to go Red Tornado, bye!"

"So it seams that I was right after all huh"

Megan screamed slightly and looked behind her and saw me staring at her, I noticed that her eyes wandered down my torso before she turned red twisted her head to look outside. I looked down and saw that I was topless, with the ripped remains of my burnt shirt made into a makeshift bandage for my bruised body. I looked at my arms and chest and saw that there were now some Lichtenberg scars littered over my chest down my arms. I sighed before I sat down in a chair and said

[AN: Image here, imagine that it is more his chest and not his back"

"So what's the plan"

Timeskip Narrators POV

In the city of Happy Harbor the people were screaming their lungs out as tornados were breaking their houses and the heroes that were trying to fight the tornado's were getting their ass kicked. They were all panicking until they saw the ever familiar Red Tornado and some shirtless kid flying through the air towards the main cause of these tornadoes. Red Tornado landed in front of the group and said

"Hit the showers boys. I was hoping that you could handle this, but clearly you cannot."

"But we got a plan, now"

Robin said but Red Tornado countered saying

"The Subject, is not up for debate"

The guys all walked away as Mr. Twister said

"I was beginning to believe that you would never show up"

"I'm here now"

Red Tornado then summoned a tornado and shot it towards Mr. Twister who did his best to dodge the incoming tornado. Mr. Twister then launched his own counter tornado canceling the both of them. Red Tornado seeing this said

"It appears that we are evenly matched Twister"

"No we are not Tornado"

Mr. Twister then proceeds to shoot another tornado at Red Tornado who cancels out the tornado with his own tornado. Then Twister shoots out his lightning at Red Tornado who tried his best to dodge but when the lightning hits the boat next to him, he also gets hit in the cross fire and gets sent to the ground. Twister takes this opportunity to approach Red Tornado and says

"Hold still android"

Twister's fingers then pop off and some wires shoot out towards Red Tornado's head. The wires connect and Twister says

"The Re-programming won't take long"

That is when all of a sudden Red Tornado's head turns into Megan's and her hand grabs the wires as she says

"Longer then you might think"

all of a sudden the tornado appears again behind Twister who gets thrown away right into Superboy's arms who proceeds to punch the ever living shit out of Twister crating holes in the main body. Superboy then punched again launching Twister into the air where he is met with the most powerful axe kick ever from Nathan which dents, cracks and melts the torso of Mr. Twister. From that kick Twister end up in the ocean where Aqua-lad meets him and tries to hit his chest with an anchor but Twister blocks it so it hits his arm instead. Aqua-lad's tattoos light up and lighting travels the anchor before exploding the entire arm off and launching him out off the ocean. There Megan grabs his body in a telepathic grip and rips off Twister's arm and legs before smacking him into the ground. Once he is planted into the ground Nathan appears and rips open the chest cavity making a small old man pop out who says

"Well you found me, but I call foul"

Nathan then went up the the man, standing only a couple of feet away from him before snapping his fingers. All of a sudden fire enveloped the man, making him scream out in pain but Nathan just continued snapping his fingers until the screaming stopped. Megan then grabbed a rock and crushed the man.

"WHAT THE HELL YOU TWO. Megan I don't know what your kind does on Mars but Nathan as you're from Earth I expected you to know what we do with bad guys!!"

Robin screeched at the two before Nathan just smiled and said

"Trust me, nothing escapes my eyes. I was able to tell that guy was an android the moment I caught a glimpse of his face. Plus, Megan had already confirmed that the guy wasn't living no?"

Megan then lifted the rock and what remained was only the crushed bit's of a charred robot. Wally grabbed an eye that was slightly charred before saying

"Cool, souvenir"

Timeskip Mount Justice

"This robot was obviously made to sabotage and destroy you"

Robin said before Red Tornado nodded and said

"Agreed"

"Is that why you would not help us"

Megan asked while Red Tornado said

"No, this was your battle. I do not believe that it is my role to solve your problems for you. Nor should you solve mine for me"

"But if you are in danger..."

Megan started before Tornado said

"Consider this matter closed"

"Batman, Aquaman, and Flash would have jumped straight in to fix things"

Wally said as Robin added on

"Guess if we are going to have a baby sitter, a heartless machine is exactly what we need"

As the boys walked away Wally sped towards Nathan and said

"Look... I- I am sorry for what I said before. I was just getting irritated since we were getting our butts kicked and-"

"Look Wally I am going to stop you right there, you seem like a nice guy so I am going to chalk this one up to a mistake. I hope from here on out we can see each other as equals and maybe even friends. I mean we are going to be on a team together, might as well be nice to one another no?"

Nathan interrupted Wally before Wally looked down, smiled and said

"Yeah, Yeah that sounds nice."

Wally and Nathan fist bumped before walking in opposite directions, with Nathan going to his room so that he could go to sleep after a long day at work.

AN: HEY GUYS, long time no see. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, it is one of my longest so far (Almost 5000 words). Anyway, I just wanted to apologise for not posting any new chapters recently, I just haven't been feeling like myself and honestly have been very busy lately. But other than that, I will try to post regularly from now on so... that's all from me.
