Chapter Seventy: The Goddesses Insane Plan

* In the Goddesses Dimension*

Xymaris, who had stuck by Alex since he was reincarnated, felt hurt by the words he said on that day, but she also understood why he said them, because to him they were true. He felt as if he had been just used as a tool to further her and her sisters objectives, but to Xymaris, he was wrong. Xymaris genuinely cared for Alex and didn't want to cause him pain in any form, but because of her and his sister Iris' kindness, he was forced to be put in this situation.

Xymaris and Iris wanted to change the fate of this world by having Alex change the shape of his destiny and the world's destiny itself. They knew he would have to do things and see things that would change him; after all, they had watched him in his previous life, and even despite his trauma, he was kind and caring. However, they knew he was more distant and cold because of what they wanted.

Xymaris genuinely loved Alex, but she knew it would be difficult for Alex to ever forgive her or any of her sisters again. If she called him while he was sleeping, he would more than likely refuse to talk to her. All she wanted was to be able to be with him again.

It was then that a simple idea came into her head, but will it work?

*Iris' part of the dimension*

"Dammit!" Iris yelled, throwing a chair across her area of the dimension.

Iris was angry at what had transpired. She wanted to handle it differently, but Kearis took the lead, and now Alex would more than likely refuse to ever talk to them again. He felt used and betrayed by them, which is not what she had wanted. She cared about him and wanted nothing more than to see him again and apologize to him, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Rejection terrified her. What if he once again refused to talk to her? What if he didn't forgive her? What if he hated her? Iris had watched over him for years, and while she was not overly interested in humans, he garnered her attention because of her sister, Xymaris. She was curious; why was she so fascinated by such an insignificant being? But the more she watched, the more she became curious. A boy without a real family who, despite his troubles, managed to find himself and live a semi-happy life. When he died due to a "random" truck, she thought this was a chance to be able to talk to him, but that idea was ruined by her sister when she had to wait years for that opportunity.

When she finally had the opportunity, she was even more fascinated by him. However, now she was scared she would never get that opportunity again. She had to do something in order to talk to him and explain herself.

It was then that Iris heard her sister appear in her area.

"Xymaris? What are you doing here?" Iris asked her sister, who seemed out of breath.

"Iris, I have an idea that may backfire completely but also give us a chance to properly apologize to Alex." Xymaris said.

This is what Iris wanted to hear—a chance to talk to Alex again.

"I'm all ears." Iris said to her sister.

Xymaris smiled and said "You're going to call me crazy, maybe even insane, but..."

Iris interrupted her sister "You are insane; I tell you that pretty regularly."

"Shut it!" Xymaris yelled "I'm serious, this is an insane idea, but it's so crazy it might just work."

Xymaris explained her plan to Iris, whose jaw slowly dropped while listening to her sister.

"You're fucking crazy." Iris said, however, and then added, "But I love it!"

Xymaris and Iris had a plan but needed to fill out some of the details. So they talked for hours, discussing their ideas.

*Meanwhile in Kearis area*

Kearis walked to her bed in silence and sighed as she sat down. When she had to talk to Alex, she was cold in everything she said; however, that's not what she wanted. She wasn't a cold person; in fact, she was caring and loving, but she had signed up with Iris and Xymaris plan to make Alex a legitimate villain, and she felt this was necessary. Alex felt betrayed by the people he trusted, which will only help him on his path...right?

Kearis felt her chest tighten after saying that. She knew she was lying to herself. She didn't want it to happen; while she wasn't fond of Alex like her sisters, she didn't want to cause the pain she had seen in his eyes, but she knew the world they had created together was in jeopardy if she didn't do what she did.

She knew her sisters loved Alex, and while she didn't understand why she respected it, now she could have possibly ruined any chance her sisters had. She treated Alex as if he were nothing more than a tool for them, which wasn't the case, at least not fully. They just needed him to stop acting the way he was; if he kept acting heroic and kind, he would've failed to do what they needed him to do. While kindness to a few people was fine, kindness to everyone wasn't. She knew the "hero" was going to be against him, and his kindness would do nothing but make him suffer. If he closed himself off from many people, then he could go against the "hero" and do what was necessary.

It was for the best. Even if it hurt Alex, even if it hurt her sisters, even if it hurt herself.

It was all for the best...right?

*Back to Iris and Xymaris*

"Are you sure about this?" Iris asked her sister.

"Nope, but it's the best chance we have." Xymaris responded.

"What if this goes wrong?" Iris asked her sister another question.

"Then we'll have to wing it because this is a first for me too." Xymaris answered.

"Not reassuring." Iris said.

"Take the leap of faith, Iris; don't you want to talk to Alex?" Xymaris asked her sister.

Iris gulped and nodded her head.

"Alright, let's go!!!!"

*In the Port Town of Rock Coast, in the eastern part of the Empire*

"Ugh...." a girl laying on her bed groaned with a major headache.

"This isn't what I planned..." she said.

The girl stood up and walked over to a nearby mirror.

"Well, she's kind of basic in about all the departments—decent looks, decent body, but not good enough. Let's change that real quick." The girl thought to herself.

Soon the body of the girl started to change; her shoulder-length brown hair grew longer and changed to a silver color; her eyes turned from brown to blue; and her height grew along with her chest size.

"Perfect! Now I look like my usual self; however, I should probably leave before the girl's parents come back and ask some questions..."

The girl, with her brand new look, snuck out of the window and walked to a nearby alley.

It was then that she touched her temples, and her eyes started to glow blue.

"Iris, can you hear me?"

"Yeah, I can, Xymaris; where are you at?" Iris responded.

"I'm at a place called Rock Coast, not exactly close to the royal capital like I planned." Xymaris said.

"I'm about a day out from you; I'm at a small village called Lakeside. Let's meet up at a travelers inn nearby our two towns." Iris said.

"Wow, you got started quick; I just got out of bed and changed my look." Xymaris said.

"You changed your look?" Iris asked.

"You didn't?" Xymaris responded with another question.

"Hang on a minute."

*Lakeside Village*

A blonde girl in her late teens walked into her bathroom and looked into the mirror.

Soon that long blonde hair turned purple, and her eyes turned a pinkish-red color as her body changed to fit how Iris looked as a goddess.

"Xymaris, I'm changed now." Iris said.

"So how is your vessel?" Xymaris asked.

"Iris looked around, and the room she was in seemed like a hospital room.

"I assume I'm a patient; this is going to be tricky to get out quietly; how about you?" Iris asked.

"I woke up in my bed, at what I think was the girls house." Xymaris responded.

"Are you sure our hosts were meant to die soon?" Iris asked.

"Very confident, my host was going to die while having a seizure in the next six hours, and your host had severe pneumonia. Now with us taking their bodies over, issues will be healed as long as we are inside their bodies and use them as vessels; they won't know the difference as if they were sleeping." Xymaris explained.

"Alright, I'll trust you. Anyway, let's meet at that inn I told you about." Iris said.

"Sure, see you soon!" Xymaris said.

*At Xymaris Magic Academy*

"Are you okay Alex?" Claire asked.

"Yeah, just a chill." Alex said.
