221. Lie Fan and Sun Jian discussion

While listening to Lie Fan's explanation, they finally arrived at the Mansiom which had been prepared for Sun Jian and his entourage.

Sun Jian and his entourage were surprised by this, as they had never thought that Lie Fan would prepare this mansion to such a degree for them. They entered the mansion, accompanied by Lie Fan while filled with awe.

After showing them to their quarters, Lie Fan before parting with Sun Jian told him that his mansion was near his residence, so he would pick him up tomorrow morning and ride toward the Governor's castle together.

Lie Fan then leaves the mansion, leaving Sun Jian and his entourage to take a rest after a long day. He returned to his residence accompanied by his bodyguards, where he went to Cai Wenji's quarter after washing himself to sleep there for the night.

The next day, Lie Fan woke up and kissed Cai Wenji on the forehead then went to wash himself after eating a light snack, he then brought Zhou Cang and Huang Shao with him heading to Sun Jian's temporary mansion.

Lie Fan after a short ride arrived at Sun Jian's temporary mansion. The morning sun bathed the surroundings in a warm glow as Lie Fan greeted Sun Jian, Sun Ce, and Zhou Yu, who waited for Lie Fan's arrival at the entrance.

After exchanging greetings, the group mounted their horses, and they rode towards the Governor Castle, on the way there Lie Fan engaged in conversations with Sun Jian, Sun Ce, and Zhou Yu.

They finally reached Governor Castle which was actually not that far from Sun Jian's mansion but also not that close which was a perfect distance to enjoy a morning ride taking in the fresh air.

They dismounted their horses, which were taken by the stablehands and Lie Fan led them toward the main hall, where it was used to receive Guests and also to hold meetings with Lie Fan's council.

In the main hall Jia Xu, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye awaited Lie Fan and Sun Jian's arrival, as they needed to be present for this historical meeting between 2 Warlords who will discuss the interests and benefits of their alliance.

Lie Fan: "Brother Wentai, after some festivities yesterday now it's time for us to discuss some official matters, first I would like to ask you the reason for your visit to Xiapi and come meet me?"

Sun Jian: "Brother Lie Fan, my visit to Xiapi and meeting you is to discuss the matter of our alliance further and the splitting of Yang Province."

Lie Fan: "Brother Wentai I feel that the matter of our alliance doesn't need any further discussion, and for the matter is splitting Yang Province between the two of us, I thought that I would receive the northern land of Yang Province and you the south?"

Sun Jian: "Brother Lie Fan, the matter of dividing the Yang Province agreement is still the same, what I want to discuss is Sheng Xian. Lie Fan seeing this told Sun Jian to calm down, as he didn't feel offended by Zhou Yu's request. Lie Fan agrees to Zhou Yu's request, saying that he will give all of Sheng Xian's navy ships to Sun Jian.

This surprised Sun Jian, Sun Ce, and Zhou Yu who didn't expect that Lie Fan would agree to this request, as they thought that Lie Fan would definitely need this ship as Xu Province itself doesn't have too many warships.

On the other hand, Jia Xu, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye glanced at each other. What Liu Ye did before was just a play, they actually didn't need Sheng Xian's backward ships after creating their own ships.

Liu Ye did that just to put some sort of resistance as if Lie Fan agreed to that matter without any of them objecting it would only cause some suspicion, so that's why Liu Ye did just that.

Jia Xu, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye continued their play, they objected to Lie Fan's agreement to give Sun Jian all of Sheng Xian's navy ships, as they needed at least half of that is the reason they used. Lie Fan of course vetoed their injection, causing Sun Jian and Sun Ce to feel grateful while Zhou Yu felt a bit suspicious of him.
