52 Journey to Find the Godaime

When Kibo returned home, he was captured by his mother and hugged tightly.

"Mom." Kibo held on to her and continued to cry,

Sachi was told about the death of Karin sometime after they returned home, after explaining that they would never see the red-haired big sister again, she too joined them in a cry-fest.

After a few hours of this, he met up with Naruto, Minato, and Kushina.

They had rooms prepared for them and were treated with the utmost respect. In fact, Minato even knew his father and grandfather.

Apparently, at one time, Minato offered to seal the Star Fragment of Hoshi for their Clan but was refused.

He learned a little about their history after his death and was surprised by Kibo's talent, choices he made, and changes brought to Konoha.

When Kushina learned that Naruto was adopted by them, she hugged Niwa and thanked her while crying,

Niwa patted her on the back and said, "It's fine, it was a joy to have Naruto as a son. I'm going to be a little sad to see him go."

Kushina cried harder, "Thank you! Dattebane! And you can always consider Naruto as a son, we won't mind at all."

Kibo wanted to smile but couldn't. He tried to sleep that night, however, once again, he just couldn't.

Two days later the funeral held and turned out to be a large event, Kibo realized over half of the villagers had come,

Karin was a lot like her mother. She went around helping the villagers with their health problems, regardless of how small or big. Because of this, she had touched the lives of almost everyone in the village.

Karin's smile could light up the lives of anyone who saw her, especially the people she healed.

It was raining that day, the sky was dark, and the funeral was covered in a gloomy atmosphere.

Kibo stood at the front with holding Sachi's hand and a flower in the other,

He was surrounded by his family and the rest of Team 7 as well.

Kibo stood still, letting the rain soak him to the bone while trying to think of a way to bring her back.

If he could reach the level of God he could perform the technique without consequences or sacrifices.

However, Suzaku, who had the most powerful soul out of her 3 siblings and also being the most knowledgeable of matters pertaining to the soul, said "Kibo it takes a long time to become a god, in that time her Soul may have already reincarnated. It would be impossible to revive her then. Even if you were a god and pulled the soul out of her new body, it wouldn't be the same Karin but the persona formed from her new life."

Kibo thought that if he could somehow get someone to revive her through the Edo Tensei, but even then he still wouldn't be able to resurrect her. Besides missing several key components, he couldn't force someone to their death just to resurrect the one he loved.

He felt like a coward, that if he loved her more, he shouldn't care about anyone. Getting her back should be his only priority. However, Kibo just couldn't bring himself to become a monster in order to get it done.

Kibo felt the last tears shedding from his eyes as he had made up his mind.

After he healed his main body, he would leave the village and start building his Immortal Village, and he would do so alone.

All he had left to do was tie off some loose ends left in this place.

Kibo stayed to the end of the ceremony and headed to meet up with Jiraiya.

When he arrived he saw the old man at the training grounds reminiscing about his earlier years.

When Kibo called out his name, Jiraira flipped around before he said, "We'll leave in three days. Until then stay close to Naruto."

Jiraiya nodded his head, and as he watched Kibo leave, the Frog Sannin thought, "Is he going to be okay? There was so much hate in his eyes."

Kibo then headed to the Training cave.

Although he couldn't access his system shop, Kibo could still take the reward that he got for completing the hidden quest.

He picked off a piece of his dragon and phoenix tears before he absorbed a fist-sized chunk into his body.

Even though this was a total waste, like adding battery power to a leaking energy device, the Clones Chakra levels shot through the roof.

Though it wasn't as strong as Kibo's main body, it was strong enough to act in his place.

He landed at the cave and called out to the 3 Perma-Clones he left here, when they arrived he informed them of the situation. After their shock, he tossed them a small piece of the dragon and phoenix tear that helped them each grow stronger.

Clone-Kibo then tore the S-Rank Jutsu ticket.

He heard a chime in his head saying, "Please Imagine the Technique you wish to learn." Kibo thought that using a ticket was similar to how the professional relics work.

When he chose a more perfect version of Hiruko's Chimera Technique, he could still use the technique in the same manner that Hiruko does.

But unlike the original Chimera Jutsu, he wouldn't need to absorb the entire person to gain their Kekkei Genkai. Kibo could do it through blood alone.

Because of his depth knowledge of atoms and genetics, the new Jutsu could splice the information pertaining to a bloodline's ability directly into his genes.

Although it may require a large amount of blood, it wouldn't be enough to kill the target, and he wasn't really interested in absorbing random Kekkei Genkai as he could already use all six elements.

The only ones he would be interested in were ones with unique abilities like the White Snake's Regeneration. Other than that, he had one singular target in mind for this technique, and that was Hiruko.

He would absorb him and make him suffer the same pain Karin experienced.

He even thought it might be possible for the Chimera Technique to also absorb the soul, and that maybe, he could reform Karin's body and make her whole again.

He remembered from the movie that Hiruko stated "The memories and consciousness of everyone he had ever absorbed were within him."

It wasn't much, but Kibo thought that it might be a situation where they're all inside the same car, but only he can drive. Perhaps, Karin wasn't really dead.

Kibo watched as the clones absorbed the energy from the Chakra Crystals before he used the Chimera technique to absorb the clones rather than disperse them.

The Kibo-Clone once again grew in power.

He was very close to his main body's strength now, and wouldn't have to worry about fading out from combat anymore.

It appeared that through the use of the Chimera technique, he could slowly absorb the memories rather than do it all at once through the use of dispersing the Shadow Clone.

Kibo was happy that the new technique lessened the strain on his mind substantially.

It took him 3 hours to fully digest the large quantity of information that entered his body.

When he finished, Clone-Kibo had mastered the 2nd and 3rd stances of the Soaring Phoenix Martial Art. The two techniques were called Blazing Phoenix Kick, and Blazing Phoenix Storm. Blazing Phoenix Kick was a single concentrated fire attack that can attach whatever of the 7 colored flames that he had mastered, and Blazing Phoenix Storm was a flurry of these kicks made at supersonic speeds.

He also mastered 2 new flames, the crimson red flames, and yellow spring flames.

The Crimson Flames of Hades was highly destructive and burned for 7 days similar to the Amaterasu fire.

While the Yellow Spring Flames were capable of nourishing the land and one's body. It was a healing flame.

Kibo found it amusing how a fire could help a plant grow instead of wither, but in response to his attitude, Suzaku said, "The sun nurtures the land, and it is a mass of fire. It's not so strange when you think of it that way."

Kibo laughed and countered with, "Okay, but your Ice Fire is still crazy and makes no sense."

The last ability he mastered was Seiryu's Gen-Jutsu, Empty World. He could now pull people into a blank world and battle their consciousness.

They could die multiple times in this Gen-Jutsu, but the loser would suffer after repeated deaths, and if they lost enough, it could shatter a person's psyche, leaving them defenseless and in a vegetative state.

Kibo left after checking out his world fragment. According to Navi, he could use it on a Chakra Beast to help it survive a tribulation and it would greatly also strengthen its powers. It could also be used a forging or alchemical ingredients.

Once Kibo checked everything over, he left and returned home.

Kibo spent the next few days' mourning the loss of his loved one. Other than visiting her grave and talking to a tombstone, Kibo was helping Kana through her grief.

When the day came for him to leave, he asked if Minato and Kushina would come as well. His parents insisted on coming, but Kibo told them to protect his body and the village.

"It would be hard for me to convince her otherwise. I could mention that her grandfather and grandmother were amongst the living again, but I don't think she would believe me without any proof. I can't bring them either, well, because they're deceased Shinobi that everyone in the land of fire knows about."

Minato and Kushina agreed to go with, at the moment, so thankful to Kibo, they probably would take a Kunai to the back for him.

When Naruto asked to come as well, Kibo nodded his head and said, "Sure."

Naruto could still see the pain in his brother's eyes and let out a dejected sigh.

"It's okay, Son," Minato said as he patted Naruto's spikey hair.

"We'll find a way to help him. We promise," Kushina followed up, placing her arms around Naruto's shoulders and hugging him from behind.

After finishing his preparations to leave, Kibo said he had one last thing to take care of before using his Wind Lord's Step.

[Quest Defeat the Akatsuki members at the outskirts of Konoha! Reward: 1 Teleportation Relic!]

Kibo vanished and reappeared at Konoha's Western Gates. He looked far into the distance and saw two people wearing black coats with red clouds on them.

Kibo recognized the two of them as Gengo and Kisame.

Kisame was a very tall, muscular Shinobi, he had a distinctive shark-like appearance, complete with pale, blue skin, small round white eyes, 3 sets of curved facial markings under his eyes, and sharp triangular teeth.

He also styled his blue hair in the form of a shark fin mohawk.

Gengo was a few inches shorter than Kisame. His long brown hair was put in a high tied ponytail, and his beard ran alongside the full frame of his face.

Gengo's skin was slightly tan, and he carried himself with a hint of sophistication.

"So, Gengo joined the Akatsuki instead of taking over the land of silence." Kibo thought as he began his assault.

A loud sonic boom occurred less than seconds after Kibo shot forward using his Blazing Phoenix Step and Kick at the same time.

A trail of fire shot out behind him as he aimed his kick towards Gengo's head.

Kisame saw him approaching and he got in the way by swinging Samehada, the sharkskin sword.

Kibo didn't slow down, his leg caught fire making Kisame smile as he declared, "Fool my Samehada can absor. . . "

Before he could finish Samehada bent back avoiding Kibo's foot, he shot past Kisame and hit his target.

The moment the kick landed, another sonic boom occurred centered around the bottom of his foot.

All the flames that had gathered behind him carried by the shock wave, morphed into a concentrated fire beam and shot into the air.

Gengo's entire upper body was blown off, and after the attack faded, all that was left was half of a burnt corpse.

"You might be able to absorb Chakra, but my fire has nothing to do with that, you can call it a Tai-Jutsu fire, or natural flame."

What was left of the Gengo's charred body fell onto the ground, making Kisame whistle at the damage done to his fellow Akatsuki.

The Sharky Nin then looked at Kibo and said, "You broke the sound barrier and moved so fast it created friction in the air, igniting your entire leg in flames. Once the attack landed you somehow directed the sonic boom from the attack you created to carry the flames off of your body and concentrate it into a powerful non-Chakra fire attack."

Kibo smiled and said, "You are indeed a combat genius. It's a shame you're so misguided. Do you really think that fool's world of truth is real? It's an illusion, the very definition of a lie! Do you know what is real? This world, here and now."

Kisame was shocked at how much Kibo knew about him before Kibo continued to berate, "You're pathetic. A sickening waste of a good ninja."

Kibo kicked out creating another Blazing Phoenix kick at Kisame.

Kisame jumped back and started to move his hands before shouting, "Water Release; Water Shark Bullet Technique!"

A giant shark made of glowing potent water Chakra charged towards Kibo's attack.

Fire and water collided, causing a massive explosion of steam that could melt the skin from bone.

Kibo continued his assault by using his Blazing Phoenix Step and shot a crescent beam of fire towards Kisame with a roundhouse kick.

"Blazing Phoenix Kick." This time Kibo added his crimson flames to the attack.

Samehada started shivering, and when Kisame noticed it was scared, he decided to stop testing the waters.

Kisame fused with Samehada and created his infamous giant water prison. However, Kibo didn't panic, instead, he smiled at the shark-man in front of him.

Kibo cloaked his body in the crimson flames before he shouted, Blazing Phoenix Storm!"

Dozens of kicks shot out in less than a second. The sonic booms echoed thought out the water as the giant bubble exploded in a flash of vapor.

The force from the blow sent Kisame flying and was knocked through dozens of trees, making him vomit up a small pool of blood as he came to a stop.

Samehada was screeching in pain while the crimson fire started to crawl on to it,

Kisame pulled his mangled body up and managed to perform a Water Bullet Jutsu.

As Kisame tried to douse the Crimson Hades' Flames, Kibo watched and discovered that the Akatsuki's Water Chakra had no effect whatsoever, Samehada just kept burning.

Grasping his hand shut in a fist, Kibo retracted the fire and forced it to dissipate.

Kibo then moved forward and said, "This is real life! Yes, it is filled with deception, but it is also filled with truth. Kisame I will give you two choices. One, follow me and I promise that I will use you to your fullest potential, and I give you my word, I will never ask you to lie, nor will I lie to you."

Kisame looked tempted when but decided to push the issue as he asked, "If I chose not to."

Kibo pulled out the Sword of Kusanagi that he took from the corpse of Orochimaru's Bio-Clone, and with a lightning-fast draw from his sheath, he placed it at the base of Kisame's neck before he said, "You die here at the edge of my blade."

Kisame looked to him and saw no lies within his words, "Get it over with."

Kibo sighed and nodded his head, "The hard way it is."

With a quick pull of his arm, Kibo severed Kisame's head and picked up the Samehada.

At first, Samehada was going to resist, but as soon as Kibo swung the sword, it cried out in joy.

Kibo was using the techniques of the 1st Master for Samehada, then the seconds, all the way to Kisame's style.

Kibo smiled and said, "This is your last chance Kisame."
