"Xue'er, I'm sorry for letting you feel wronged today." Chu Molin held her from behind and murmured sympathetically.
"It's me who's putting you in a tough spot." Qin Xue leaned back, resting her weight entirely on him.
"It wouldn't be hard if there were no expectations." Chu Molin's voice was calm; he never intended to go back to the Chus so he didn't feel troubled at all.
"Hug me." Qin Xue turned around and wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Don't push yourself to do thankless tasks anymore, it makes my heart ache." Chu Molin knew she did these things for his sake, and precisely because of that, it only pained him more.
"Alright, I'll do as you say. Satisfied now?" Qin Xue's face was buried in his chest, so her voice sounded muffled.
