It is said every action has an equal and opposite reaction, this is the third law of Newton and while it is said to be true, sometimes it fails and sometimes it works, as for Paul's case it couldn't be truer, his despicable actions caused much harm to his own family in the original timeline.

But thanks to the existence called Rudeus and a bit of luck from God knows where he managed to appease his wife and make Lilia his second wife, his betrayal was awarded him getting Lilia as his second wife, truly lucky for someone like him. But this time he had to face the consequences of his actions, and to make it worse for him, he had become a murderer in the eyes of everyone, the one who killed his own son being angry while drunk.

In the end under the terrifying gaze of his wife, he revealed everything that happened last night, and how he possibly killed his son in anger before fainting due to drinking too much Alcohol, after that nothing was to be said she attacked him with Elementary level Fire Magic, which can be said extremely weak to kill a strong person like him, but as if fueled by her intense emotions a powerful fireball that can turn a person into ashes materialized in her hands as she attacked with Paul every bit of Mana she had got.

Paul looked at the Fireball approaching him with a shocked look, he didn't even think that his wife would try to kill him! Not to mention he knew that Fireball was not something to be trifled with as it was at Intermediate Level, yes at this time Zenith advanced to Intermediate Fire Magic. He looked at her look of hatred and thought,' Maybe I deserve this ', then he clenched his fists and thought,' No!!! No matter I cannot die!! I can't leave Zenith like this!! I will repair our relationship no matter what it costs!!! '.

Thus he quickly dodged the attack of Zenith, though he wasn't able to dodge it completely as his left hand was hit with the corner of the attack, burning the skin causing and turning in into blackish, he grunted in pain from the third-degree burns. Then he looked at Zenith who was trembling," Ho...How dare you", her voice was extremely intimidating, Paul gulped his saliva and said with guilt," Pl-Please forgive me", he glanced at her with gentleness and guilt, it always worked, in fact, if not for this incident Zenith was already on the verge of forgiving him.

But he underestimated the love of a Mother, and she didn't even bat an eye before sending a power spray of water on him which momentarily touched the level of intermediate rank, Paul covered his entire body in Touki instinctively, and not long before he felt as if hit by a powerful beast causing him to fly backward and crash on the ground, fortunately for him due to his Touki he got only a few scratches, and since the attack lacked the power of a True Intermediate Magic, his front didn't get cut through by the pressure of the water.

After that Zenith fainted due to overuse of Mana, and other women quickly ran up to her, everything that happened was too quick for them to react other than Zenith's two powerful magic blows at the level Intermediate level, she performed them without a chant that almost everyone chooses to ignore due to turn of events, some men came towards Paul to check him.

" I-I am fine", he replied glancing at his unconscious wife with worry and asking them," Is she fine?", an old man replied," I have checked her, she is unconscious due to overusing her mana, now should I heal your wound?", Paul nodded and the old man used intermediate Healing Magic to heal his wound till the third-degree burns became first degree burns then he sighed tiredly and said," This is the best I can do since I am out of Mana".

Paul gave him a grateful look and came to check her wife to be blocked in his track by the women shielding Zenith," Stay away you child murderer!!", said a woman in anger, Paul flinched and said," Pl-Please let me check her", other woman shouted," You bastard!! First, you cheated on her and then killed your own child!! How can you do this?!!! You devil!!".

Paul hearing that became angry and shouted," Let me see her!!!", his angry voice caused every woman to flinch in fear, and he leaked his Touki creating pressure that everyone felt. "Paul!!", the same old man who healed him shouted making his return to normal, then he came forward and looked at Zenith with pity, he was the head of the village clinic and Zenith worked under him. He always appreciated this kind woman and saw her as his own daughter, now seeing her current state he can be said to be the most angry person present here, but as an elder, he was also the wisest.

" Listen to me, Paul did some horrible things to her, but it can only be said he never meant to do them deliberately, firstly we do know that while Paul cheated on her, it was that vile maid who seduced him, probably for more money, and yesterday's incident can be only said to be unfortunate, from the Rudeus's wound as the Chief of the Village Clinic I can tell he died from getting his head bashed on a rock, probably Paul slapped him or gave him a push causing him to fall on a rock injuring his head and then he bled to death, while Paul became unconscious due to being too drunk unable to ascertain the situation", he said and then took a deep breath.

Everyone after hearing him became less angry towards Paul, and attributed it to the bad luck that lead to this situation, Paul gave the old man a grateful look only to receive a raged look from him," This doesn't change the fact that Paul you have cheated on her, hurt her and then killed your own son by mistake, for this you will never try to cheat on her again, and get her forgiveness, and let me say it, if you were to hurt her again, I will be the first one to try to kill you even if I can't achieve it!!".

Paul nodded and said," Yes, I promise to keep her happy and earn her forgiveness", seeing his determined look everyone felt satisfied, then the old man said," Now, let Zenith relax for a while after she wakes up we will try to make her mood better, before that we need to dig a grave for the Rudy", others agreed to him and got on work.

A few hours later,

Zenith opened her eyes and then looked at the people near her," Where I am?", she muttered before the memories of her dead son came into her mind, she broke into tears and asked," Where is Rudy?!!", Arsia, her neighbor friend replied," His body was already rotting, thus we dug a grave for him", Zenith snapped," No!!! My son isn't dead!! All I need to heal him an- and then he will be back!!".

"Zenith!!", shouted another woman and then looked at her with pity," Rudy is dead, you have to accept it", Zenith stopped, and started crying loudly, soon another familiar voice reached her ears," Zenith", she glared at the man who had destroyed her beautiful life, the man flinched and then said," I- I have many things to say, to apologize, but that's not the time now, all I want to say please think of our second child".

She flinched hearing that and then remembered she was pregnant with her second child, she paused before replying," Leave me alone", he nodded and quickly left the room, others followed leaving the room as they knew it was best if she was left alone for some time so that she can vent out her feelings in alone, after that she continued weeping still unable to accept the fact that her child has died leaving her alone.

On the other hand, Paul decided to send letters to his old friends and the members of his party, Fangs of the Black Wolf, to come and help him with the situation. He thought if Zenith was to meet with their old friends she might feel better and that might shift her mind from Rudy, he sighed depressed and then became a bit cheerful," I wasn't able to become a good dad, but I will definitely become a good husband", he swore to himself.

(Author's Note: Some people think that they can make up for the past, I mean just look at those cliche stories, how Mc's wife, lover, and sister treats him as trash for more than half of his life, and then when he proves himself to be capable, and strong they change their behavior towards him and act as if they haven't treated him like trash in the past, and that beta simp Mc accepts it, so disgusting.
