"May! How? Why?" asked Coulson as he saw that May wasn't even looking at them and just starting at Ward, he didn't want to risk May firing her gun at him even if it's just an ICER.

"After Skye came back from talking with you her behavior was strange, it was the same as the time when you had told her the condition Ward had told that he will only talk with Skye. I thought you had decided to bring Skye to meet Ward hence I was waiting when she would go so I will be there for her but she didn't go and so I had decided to tail her to find the reason for her acting like that. When I saw the three of you entering Vault D, I tried to watch the surveillance video but someone had hacked it making me more suspicious" May started as she looked at Skye followed by Fitz

"Not me, I didn't have the time to have into the surveillance feed as my mind was already filled with other problems," Skye said shaking her head.

"I-I didn't know.... anyone was watching," Fitz said

"Once you came out of Vault D along with Ward who wasn't wearing any handcuffs, I didn't know what you were planning so I followed you. At the time Trip came to the kitchen to drink water and since he had seen me following you I just ordered him to follow me" May explained

"I am sorry May, we should have told you instead of making you worry like that," Skye said

"Hey, girl it's alright if the director ordered you to keep it to yourself there is no way you could have informed us," Trip said patting Skye on her back.

May was also glaring at Coulson since she knew it must have been his idea to keep it a secret.

"I wasn't sure how you would react and this was something Fitz wanted to do, so I gave him the green light to do his experiment that's all" Coulson stated.

"So did you do d anything?" asked Trip in curiosity.

"I may have but before that, I have... something I want to ask from Ward" Fitz stated as he turned his head to look at Ward who was still sitting on the patient's bed.

"Fine go ahead and ask it's not like I have to answer your questions" Grant stated as he turned and laid on the bed while facing the ceiling

"Not even when Skye is here?" asked Fitz

"You are really enjoying this aren't you Fitz," Grant said

"How would you know that?" Fitz asked again

"Because you have stopped stuttering," said Grant with a smirk.

The rest of the team had also realized the fact that Fitz had stopped stuttering and were feeling happy for their Scottish friend.

Skye was seeing the banter between Ward and Fitz and couldn't help but remember their time on the Bus last year and when Ward smirked she felt her heart rate increase.

'What the hell is with me stop thinking about his smile and why is my heart beating like that,' Skye thought to herself

"Ok.... just answer this question of mine. What would happen to the person under the Faustus method if the person they are loyal to dies?" asked Fitz.

"Again with the same question Fitz. If the person under Faustus loses their master then it would be free from the brainwashing and unless someone else uses the failsafe he or she would be free. If the person has his memories then he will try to run from Hydra so as to not fall in their control again." stated Grant

"What about the specialists under Faustus method? What happens to them?" asked Fitz

"When specialists, get free from brainwashing after losing the person they are loyal to, they would become desperate and lonely as they don't have memories of their past and don't know what do with their lives, some try to learn about their pasts but in most cases, they lose their will to live and try to commit su-" Grant stopped himself from speaking anymore as he knew Fitz would connect those suicide to his own.

"Commit suicide isn't that right Ward," Fitz said as he looked around the room to see the expressions of the others.

May was expressionless as ever, Coulson on the other hand had a grave expression, Trip looked like he was angry but did his best to hide it, Skye looked like she was surprised finally believing that Ward may be brainwashed.

"Our cases are different Fitz, they try to kill themselves because they don't remember anything from their life before Faustus method was used on them, they don't remember if there is someone who loves them or hates them or whom they love. I on the other hand remember everything and remember everyone who hates me and the things I have done to make them hate me, I know there isn't any reason for me to live as all I ever will be is a traitor who destroyed this team and the one person who should never be forgiven. I am not someone who deserves a second chance Fitz," Grant explained

Before Fitz could say anything to Ward, Skye steps forward grabbed Ward by his collar, and pulled him towards her making him sit up as he came face to face with her.

"Who gave you the right to decide that? After everything you did, it is up to us to decide what we do with you and how to punish you. How dare you punish yourself and try to kill yourself when you haven't paid for your crimes?" asked Skye her voice slowly increasing in volume in anger.

"In the courthouse, I would have been given the death sentence many times after learning my crimes, I was making it easy on you," said Grant only to punched by Skye right in the jaw, thankfully she was full of anger and didn't notice that her punch didn't come in contact with a jaw but something like rubber instead.
