Chapter 66- Nightmares

After killing some curses in Tokyo, Yuta went back to the higher ups and insisted to carry out Yuji's execution. But they still didn't trust him. Yuta ended up making a pact that he would kill Itadori Yuji no matter what.

Yuji didn't know the suspension on his execution was back until he was hunted down by Yuta and died.

But then, he was brought back again.

"I'm sorry we had to meet this way." Yuta said, somewhat apologetic. "I'm Okkotsu Yuta , and one of Gojo sensei's students like you."

"It's okay. I've heard about you from sensei. You're amazing, Okkotsu senpai." Yuji said.

Yuta laughed nervously at that.

"Higher ups totally think you're dead by now. So, you don't need to worry about execution for now." He said.

"Thank you," Yuji managed to say.

"You're also sensei's student. We should look after each other now." Yuta replied.

Both of them tensed at the mention of Gojo, remembering that their sensei was sealed away and stripped off his freedom right at the moment.

"Nanami and my other classmates...came up with a plan. We were planning to find Nakamura first because we think she can help us." Yuji decided to bring up their plan. If Yuta wanted to join as well, wouldn't they have more people on their team? Yuji felt like the more people they have, the better their chances would be.

"I see," Yuta replied, seemingly lost in his own thoughts. "I'm sorry, I can't join you at the moment. I have to work hard for my goals, too. I can't simply let sensei deal with the culprit yet again."

Now that he thought about it, Yuta felt like something was fishy. To get sealed in the prison realm, the target had to stay still for one minute. Gojo sensei could have gotten away in that one minute or at least warp to a safe location. It would take more than a couple curse users or curses to successfully seal him like that. Something he would not be expecting or something that would make him feel paralyzed.

Yuta had to know the cause and deal with it.

He wouldn't let his sensei carry all that weight again.

So, after saying goodbye to Yuji, Yuta went to find more clues.

First stop, Shibuya itself.

He hoped he could find something to lead him to the culprit.

------------

Misaki had been having nightmares almost every night since 31st October. She thought everything would be fine if she just stayed hidden like Sachiko said. But, the next day, the incident that killed hundreds of people was all over the news.

Sachiko had not called yet.

What if something had happened to her?

Plagued with worry, Misaki tried calling Sachiko, only to find that her phone was turned off.

She was plagued with worry and having nightmares as soon as her eyes shut and slowly drift to sleep was not helping in any way. It was making everything worse.

----------------

------------------

Misaki was on the verge of breaking down.

If one thing had got better, Sachiko finally called her, saying her phone was destroyed and how she was okay now, but Misaki could sense something in her voice. Like she was detached. It happend some time after mentioning the incident in Shibuya.

Did something happen to her ?

Misaki hoped not. She wanted to tell her to talk to her but Sachiko said she was busy with something and would call her back. Then, Sachiko was trying to say something which was probably important but then again, she just told her that she loved her.

Something was definitely happening.

Misaki wished Sachiko told her something about it or Misaki herself told her that she could talk to her, that she was there for her.

Misaki went to bed with a heavy heart and dreamt of monsters.

Curses, they call, perhaps.

She wondered, for the first time, if she was cursed.

An: I know this is one hell of a short chapter but I also wanted to announce something and this has been in my draft for nearly a year so I wanted to put this before announcement.

Don't worry, I'm not abandoning this as I said but I have so much ideas regarding pre Shibuya and I feel like I missed a lot of chances in Gojo x Sachiko relationship and Sachiko's behavior in Shibuya. Maybe if I haven't rushed the story, it would've made more sense or so I think. That's why, I kind of decided to rewrite this. It would be much more slow paced and focus on relationships, past events and we'll also see our antagonist Sachiko in a bit of a different light. That said, Shibuya arc might or might not have that much impact in the rewrite ver as I am a bit regretful about having to not write Satoru for so long. But, we will see, I guess.

With all that said, I'll stop updating in this book and upload the rewrite version in this account with the same title but I'll add (Rewrite ver) so that you can see which one is rewrite ver.

Again, thank you all for this wild journey since the start of this book and I hope we can meet in the rewrite version again. It will be uploaded on 4th February so stay tuned? I guess?
