Chapter 2 - Waking Up and Crisis

When she woke up, Sachiko found herself unable to move or speak. What is happening? She tried to speak again but instead of words, it came out as cries.

'What the hell?! Why would I be a baby now? Did reborn in Jujutsu kaisen literally meant I have to be born and has to grow up all over again?'

Sachiko heard footsteeps coming towards her and she was picked up.

"Oh..poor little child, you had been abandoned out there for days. When I found you in the bushes lastnight, you were barely alive.." A woman in her thirties said as she held her.

'I must've been unconscious by then. Is that an effect of suddenly having my innate technique?' Sachiko thought. Innate techniques are engraved into a sorcerer when they were born, after all. So, she had to be born all over again to have innate technique?

Sachiko focused on her own body to find changes. Although she was in an infant's body now, she still felt endless amount of weird energy in her body which made her feel strong.

Her two wishes worked. As for the cursed energy manipulation, she just had to test it out later.

Later, when no one else was around, Sachiko tried manipulating the cursed energy into various shapes and found that it practically allowed her to create a weapon purely made of cursed energy to attack or send out blasts of cursed energy on its own. She could literally control cursed energy in anyway she liked.

Sachiko really wanted to laugh out loud in satisfaction. With her infinite cursed energy, it would be terrifying.

A Year Later

Sachiko was now in a crib sitting instead of sleeping like a good kid. She was thinking how to train herself effectively.

'Maybe I should practice controlling and manipulating my cursed energy.' Sachiko thought.

'The most practical way would be fighting with low grade curses. I can see probability so I can only fight if I'm sure of my victory.'

'But how can I fight now?' She was only a year old and can't even speak yet. How can she train at this state? ' She thought , frustrated.

"Sachiko, dear, what're you thinking?" Her mother who adopted her a year ago picked her up. Just as she had picked her up, Sachiko saw a cursed spirit on the ceiling smiling at her. Maybe the curse spirit was waiting for her mother to pick her up.

'What should I do? I've never used cursed energy to fight before and to make itworse, my mother is here. If I do something, she would probably see and think I'm crazy. But if I don't do something, the curse spirit will hurt us..' Sachiko frowned.

Then, she had an idea. Her mother can't see cursed energy and cursed spirits. So, if she could distract her, she can fight the curse.

'Alright, now I need to distract her. Would smashing the window be a good choice? The window is about four meters away from here so if I could finish the curse in one go, she'll not witness a thing.' Sachiko thought.

Then, Sachiko finally decided to shape her curse energy into a small ball and send it straight to the glass window. As soon as it hit the window, the glass shattered.

Her mother put her down and went to the window.

Then, Sachiko sent a ball of cursed energy to the curse. She also tried to limit the cursed energy as she didn't want a big commotion accidentally.

"BOOM!"

Her cursed energy collided with the spirit and the spirit disappeared.

'So it really was a low grade.'

The curse was most likely only grade 4 and Sachiko sighed. If she wasn't preoccupied with thinking how to not hurt her mother or make a big commotion accidentally, she would've tried to use the other innate technique to see Possibility first. It was a logical thing to do, after all.

'What can I say? I lack experience..'

I'm thinking about a second innate technique for MC. If MC were to have a second technique, what would you want it to be?

I have some ideas but it will make her too OP too soon.
