CHAPTER 5: DAY THREE IN THE BURROW

I looked at calendar and date 28 august 1991, Ron was born on 1 March 1980. He will start his first year at Hogwarts on 1 September 1991. I still 3 days till then. I had planned to learn and get a hang on of at least three to four spells and try to memorize the potions textbook.

I had just finished breakfast and Ginny had gone to play with Luna Lovegood who lived apart hill from Burrow. Fred, George and Percy and me were having simple Quidditch between two trees. Percy and me were goal keepers and George and Fred were chasers as they were planning to participate in this year's draft of Gryffindor team so Percy also played with us.

we all spent whole afternoon playing quidditch I also started to get hang of flying and felt more comfortable on broomstick, now I can make flexible movements and stunts in air while Goal keeping and throwing ball. George and Fred were flying fast and trying to score goals. I and Fred were a team and Percy and George were one.

After playing many rounds, we still lost to Percy and George as Percy's play was better than rookie me. After Mum shouting and callings for Lunch we stopped. Ginny also had come from Lovegood's.

After lunch me and Ginny came to Attic and started to look for new spell to learn. In first year, spell book whose author was Miranda Goshawk there many spells namely

· Wand-Lighting Charm

· Unlocking Charm

· Knockback Jinx

· Wand-Extinguishing Charm

· Severing Charm

· Locking Spell

· Mending Charm

· Making a pineapple dance across the table

· Ice Jinx

· Box Blasting Charm

Me and Ginny already had practiced wand-lightening charm this time I was going to practice Knockback Jinx it can be used in combat so I could have to defend in fight I can used it without causing lot of damage.

Ginny: "Knockback jinx "Knocks objects and creatures backwards."

And spell for it is Flipendo"

The Knockback Jinx, depending on the point of impact, might have felt like a blow to the chest, knocking back a victim or object, or it might have felt like being knocked over the head with a frying pan, leaving the victim a bit disoriented. A "loud bang" was also emitted when cast. The jinx could also break fragile objects.

Knockback jinx was taught in defense against dark arts class. This year's will be taught be Professor Quirinus Quirrell. With his stuttering voice it will be left behind in books so I started to practice at home. First practicing gestures of this Jinx

After going over gestures than started practicing its incantation pronunciation.

Flipendo (fli-PEN-doh),

after listening to Ginny's pronunciation clearly, I started practicing on old stuffed teddy bear as a target.

Knockback Jinx is harder to practice than wand-lightening charm, it only worked randomly only displaying gentle push. I kept at it as it will take at least take two or three more days to get hang of it. Ginny felt bored so she started reading magazine while explaining advice given in textbook.

After it was night, we stopped and gathered at dinner table for dinner with everyone. After father Arthur brought out the topic of Harry Potter will be going to Hogwarts this year. He was very excited talking about Harry about how he saved the magic Britain from you-know-who. How he was the only one who lived under unforgivable curse and talked about he was being raised by muggle relatives. After everyone chattered about the topic while having dinner.
