Chapter 5: Strange dream

( Near the mountains that are a few miles away from Gullontown )

( MC pov )

I was dragging the sled behind me on a dirt road that was going to the mountain

On the back of the sled were three dried-out bodies of two wolves and one buck as well as 3 small whimpers from a cage on the back with a piece of cloth covering it.

It was slowly getting dark as I was getting home I took a path on the side of the road leading to some shrubs.

As I was walking through the shrubbery and came into a small open field on the side of the mountain that looked normal and was overgrown with greenery.

But I walked up to some veins and twinks and pushed them aside to reveal a cave entrance.

It was pitch dark and I walked in dragging the sled along and let the veins and twigs cover the entrance.

I put the sled down and walked up dragging my hand against the walls of the cave until I felt a lever and pulled it.

A hatch above the sealing opened giving little light so that somebody could see a bit then I grabbed some flint and steel from a nearby table.

In the center of the room was a fire pit with sticks of pre-cut firewood on the side.

I grabbed a hand of leaves and sticks pilled it up and started sliding the flint and steel together creating sparks.

( after 10 minutes)

Smoke started to appear and a little glow on a piece of leave then I put down the flint and steel and gently blew on the glowing spot until there was a small flame.

I garbed little sticks and some leaves and threw them on until a bigger flame came then I grabbed some firewood and placed them in.

As the fire was growing more smoke went into the air and more light in the cave.

The smoke was going through the hatch on the ceiling when the fire was steady and making light.

I grabbed a few candles on the table lit them to create more light and started placing them around the cave.

After that, I stood at the entrance and looked at my hideout.

There was a simple single bed in the corner with a nightstand on the side.

There were hooks everywhere and some had animal skulls on them.

Then there are jars on a shelf that have different animal blood in them.

A big wooden cage in the back of the room with straw bundles for beds.

A weapon rack on the right side of my bed.

Then there were the about of paper books and animal skin lying around.

And last next to my shelf of animal blood, there was a chest beside it filled with ( gold dragons ) and other riches.

It was not much but it will do and I went to the sled and took off the clot that was on top of the cage.

Inside were my three new pets I then unlocked the cage and pulled them out by the scruff of their necks.

I carried them to the wooden cage and threw them in and looked at the wooden cage behind them.

Then went back to the sled and grabbed the bucket full of organs of the three corpses.

Then walked back to the cage and threw all the organs inside the cage for the pups to eat.

After that, I grabbed the buck and two wolves and hung them on hooks to skin them tomorrow because I was very tired and needed some sleep.

I then blew out all the candles leaving the firepit in the center as the only source of light.

And I walked up to my bed and laid down as slowly drifted off to sleep.

( 1 hour of sleeping )

( Dreamworld )

I woke up and I was standing in front of my cave entrance and the full moon shining from above.

I stood there staring in confusion until I heard a man scream from inside and I heard a dark and sinister voice speak.

"Come inside young champion and learn." It spoke with a sweet voice that drew me in as the screaming of a man could be heard in the background.

I slowly entered and saw different types of runs drawn on the wall and I looked at them carefully to memorize them.

Then I realized that these runes are drawn with blood and I looked at the shelf with the jars of blood to see them empty.

Now I know these runes are drawn with blood and for some reason, they are glowing.

Then I saw a hallway that was not in my cave before but as I slowly approached I saw more runes and a lot of them decorating the walls of the hall also glowing.

As I got to the end of the hallway and entered a room that was glowing from the about of runes in it.

I took a look around at all the runes and the source of the screaming.

A man tied down to an altar with his bare chest for show and then I saw he was completely naked as the day he was born.

He was struggling to get himself out and cursing at someone while pleading as well.

When I looked up and saw a wooden statue of Afrul with his arms apart in a welcoming gesture looking down toward the altar.

The statue also has runes drawn on it but different and they were glowing white while the other runes were blood red.

Then a cloaked man walked in wearing what seemed like bones for armor and a deer head with runes drawn on it.

He was carrying a pure black ritual dagger with a white-like gem that was glowing at the center of the handle.

He stopped in front of the alter facing the statue and the screaming man cried begging and cursing the man.

Trying even harder to break loose the rope that's keeping him in place.

I stared at this and the voice spoke again.

"Listen close champion" As soon as the voice spoke the cloaked person began to speak in some language raising his dagger in the air then.

Brought it down and threw the man's heart as a light white glow appeared around the corpse and entered the statue.

I took all this in slowly not realizing what was going on then the voice spoke once more.

"Now WAKE UP!!" it screamed and I jumped out of my bed and it was daylight.

So I sat on my bed thinking through my memory of what I saw in my dream or it could be a vision.
