Losing his mind from the pain of having his soul burned, Conrad attacked with a level of ferocity not seen before.

BOOM-BOOM-BOOM

Destroying the landscape with every swing of his sword, nothing would stop him from tearing that fox eared bastard into pieces!

*SWOOSH!!*

Slashing his sword upwards, the blade glistened in the brightening sky.

"DIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

*GRINS!!*

*SWOOOOSH!!*

*BAAAANG!!*

Facing the descending sword, Grim was forced to face the blow head on as he held his sword up horizontally and took on the full impact.

*BOOOM!!*

*FWOOSH!!*

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Blown out of the sky and sent hurtling down towards the ground, Grim's carefree laughter continued to fill the air as he crashed into the earth in a less than gentle manner.

*CRASH!!*  *CRASH!!* *CRASH!!*

Smashing into the ground hard enough that his body actually tunneled deep into the earth below. Grim's psychotic laughter continued ringing out as his grimoire burned brighter and brighter.

"More!"

Standing in the sky and watching as more burning petals fell from above, the expression on Conrad's face warped as the humiliation and rage he felt morphed into one. 

'AGAIN!!'

Raising his left hand and conjuring up an aggresive amount of wind magic, he prepared the extinguish them all.

"CONRAAAAD!!"

Sporting three tails and manifesting in front of the many petals falling above him, Grim's eyes burned with a burning light.

"YOU!!"

*GRINS*

Letting gravity do its job and falling towards him with his flames dancing alongside the edge of his sword. The hem of his cloak flapped in the wind.

Seeing this, Conrad changed the direction his hand was facing.

"JUST DIE ALREADY!!!" He roared sending a drill-like green tornado towards the grinning falling Demon Slayer.

*FWOOSH!!*

Tearing through Grim's body and punching a hole through the dozen of falling petals, the look of triumph didn't settle on Conrad's face as Grim's figure appeared at the location of another petal.

"Tch."

Aiming and firing again, the same thing happened over and over again as Grim rapidly moved from petal to petal dodging the long ranged wind magic without his clothes being so much as ruffled.

The only positive outcome out of all of this was that Conrad had managed to scatter and extinguish a large number of petals.

Activating the three spells again, more petals began falling from the sky until it looked like the entire sky was filled with falling stars.

Firing off more types of magic, Conrad's mind started analyzing and deconstructing the framework of [Breath of the Kitsune].

From what he had observed, the more he attacked and scattered of the sakura petals, the more Grim needed to summon. But the summoning wasn't instantaneous. He seemed to have to start with [Foxfire] before he could use [Burning Sakura] again. It was almost like there was an order in which the spells had to be activated before they could be used.

It would also explain why he wouldn't detonate them anymore. He simply couldn't backtrack and resuse it without starting over.

As for that third spell [Fox Trot], it appeared to be a spell that allowed instanteous movement to any of the summoned petals. As long as he extinguished the petals before the spell was active, he would essentially shut down Grim's ability.

Having reached that conclusion, he allowed Grim to start the cycle again.

"Got YOU!!"

*SWOOOSH!*

Infusing a large amount of wind and fire magic into his sword. He performed a horizontal slash that sent out an amped up heat wave towards the petals turning them into dissipating particles of mana upon contact.

Unexpectedly though, despite his petals all being wiped out at once. Grim still activated [Fox Trot] and somehow managed to appeared in front of Conrad with his leg pulled back to the side!

"W-WHAT!!"

*GRINS*

"SURPRISE MUTHAFUCKA!!"

Exploding out with ragefull white flames, the beast side of [Breath of the Kitsune] went into full effect as those white flames buried themselves deep into his body causing a huge increase in his physical strength.

*BOOM!!*

Moving faster than he could react, a crisp sound rang out as Grim's foot sunk itself into the right side of Conrad's cheek causing a mixture of blood and teeth to shoot out of the former wizard king's mouth as he was sent sprawling out of the sky.

*WHIZZZZZZ*

Breaking though the air at breakneck speed, his broken body cannonballed out of the sky and slammed straight into the forehead of the demon skull.

*BAAANG!!*

"GAAAHH!!"

Crashing with enough force make the sound of his bones snapping rise to audible levels, several spider-like cracks began to spread from the point of impact and across the head of the departed Licht.

*COUGH* *COUGH* *COUGH*

Coughing out a large mouthful of blood mixed with unknown chunks. Conrad's entire body creaked with pain as he groaned out loud.

"H-How." He stuttered watching Grim slowly descend from the sky.

"What? You didn't think it was only my petals that I could jump to did you?" He laughed delighting in Conrad's pained expression before going over and pulling him up by his hair.

"But I gotta say Conrad, I'm a bit surprised. The white hair, multiple elements and now wielding a sword? If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trying to copy me. Not that I can blame you. I'd copy me too."

*THUD*

Dropping him, he turned to look around.

"Yo Asta, you got the sword yet?"

Appearing from behind the them and walking over with a crystalized sword in his hand and a excited look on his face, Asta held it up for Grim to see.

"Yep!" He grinned. "Never thought I'd ever touch something a important as this."

"H-How..." Conrad winced again ignoring Asta's mumblings. "I got rid of your petals, you shouldn't have been able to jump to me!"

"Conrad, Conrad, Conrad *shakes head* Fox Trot doesn't just allow me to jump to my petals, it lets me appear wherever a flame exists within my perception."

'And with [Hyper Focus] the range of my perception is huge.'

"You mean-" Something finally clicked.

"Yep, you done fucked up when you used that wave attack to get rid of my sakura petals."

To get rid of those petals Conrad had used a [fire x wind] based magic attack because of the specific nature of both elements that allowed them to spread faster than other types of magic. But to think that such a strategic decision would end up being his downfall.

The irony wasn't lost on him.

He didn't lose because he was weaker.

He lost because he was smart.
