Dangerous

'Unbelievable.'

Watching as the battle between the Elf Hybrid and Devil Host raged on from a distance, Loropechka was at a loss for words.

To her this battle was something truly incomprehensible. Despite witnessing first hand just how much work she and the clover girls had put into their training during these last 6 months, there was a small part of her that doubted that they could truly beat Vanica. And with the 70% of devil power she was showcasing right now, she was right. Vanica's powers far exceeded anything she could have ever imagined. Even if she, Noelle and Mimosa fought together alongside Undine, the likelihood of them winning was so abysmally small that it wasn't even worth mentioning.

But Grim...

"What a monster." She whispered.

Despite what she had heard about him from the others, seeing was truly believing.

SWOOSH!!-SWOOSH!!

Jumping back and dodging the blood spears flying towards his face by riding on the wind, the grin on Grim's face didn't faulter for a second as looked at the 70% devil powered Vanica with a face full of mockery.

"Is that all you've got?" He teased.

"NOT EVEN CLOSE!"

Grinning and gathering more blood magic into her claws, she stomped down hard and shot towards him with a terrific smile on her face.

Flashing in front of him at a speed that would put Noelle to shame, her eyes gleamed with a dangerous light as she swiped her claw at his face.

Extending the length of her claws at the last minute, she hoped that the sudden increase in range would catch him off guard.

But who the hell did she think she was fighting?!

*BANG!!*

Treating it like he was in the matrix, Grim leant back easily evading the claw while his foot rose from the ground and made contact with the tip of her chin.

-Wh-What just happened?

Suddenly finding her body airborne, a look of surprise and confusion settled on her face.

Luckily it wouldn't last long.

*ZOOOM!!*

Flashing in front of her covered in a bright hue of yellow light and with flashes of yellow lightning swimming across his body, the thunder sword roared in his hand as he thrust it forward.

'It's over.'

*THRUST!!*

But before it could make contact-

"…. What an interesting specimen you are."

Before his sword could fully pierce through her, like a tidal wave a dark and sickly sensation that he had only felt once before washed over him.

'This feeling.' 

[Curse-Warding Magic: Decaying World]

Feeling a change in the air, purple ominous light surrounded Vanica's as numerous strands of purple-coloured runes burst out from her. Deflecting his sword thrust and wrapping themselves around his body, they ensnared Grim bound him tightly.

""GRIM!!"" The girls panicked caught off guard by the new development.

Having recovered from their earlier skirmish with Vanica, Noelle and Loropechka charged into the sky only to be slapped away by a couple of rune strands.

-Arghhh!!

-Aghhhh!!

Not paying heed to their struggles, Vanica's eyes lay solely focused on Grim's bound figure.

"Fufufufu." An unfamiliar and distorted laugh escaped from her lips. 

"Now then." She grinned. "How should I toy with you?"

 Hearing the tonal change in her voice and seeing that the right side of her face had turned completely black while half of her hair had become white, he grinned and spoke up-

"Megicula I presume."

"Oh?"

She raised an eyebrow before suddenly smiling and closing the distance between the two.

"Fascinating." She chuckled running her finger alongside his cheek.

"Even at my mercy you still have that look of defiance on your face. Oh, I just can't wait to find out what you really are."

"What are you doing Megicula?!" Vanica's angry voice sounded out from the other side of her face. "It was just getting good!"

"Oh Vanica." Megicula smiled sweetly still stroking the side of Grim's face. "If I hadn't interfered, do you really think you would stand a chance?"

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!" She growled.

"Isn't it?"

"No!"

"I see… But isn't better to take a closer look at such a fine specimen?"

"But I want to continue fighting him." She whined.

"Hush now. Let me put a curse on him so that we can bring him back with u-

"BREAK!!"

*CRACK-BOOOM!!!*

Having heard enough of this, Grim stimulated the elven blood flowing through his veins forcing his mana output to skyrocket and causing the runes binding him to creak under the pressure before shattering into a million pieces.

'He overpowered my curse?!'

Watching him perform such a feat, Megicula's eyes sparkled.

"MAGNIFICENT!!"

Not done raising his mana output, an unknown number of electrical discharges charged out from his body scorching the once pristine palace black and spreading devastating shockwaves out of his body.

"HAAARGHHHHH!!"

Shaking the entire building and making all the mana in the area go haywire. There seemed to be no end to his power.

- SUCH POWER❤︎!!

Vanica marvelled unable to hide her admiration.

-HE'S DEFINITELY NOT A HUMAN!!

Staggering backwards and unable to believe what they were seeing, the Grim in front of them radiated such raw and uncontrollable power that it left them stunned.

While it might not be much by Supreme devil standards, the purity in his mana was something else!

Even the defeated girls below could barely handle the sudden jump in power. They knew Grim was strong. Hell, they were banking on it, but wasn't this to unbelievable?

Just what are his limit?!

*BOOM!!*

"Arghh!!"

*CRASH!!*

Thrown back by one of the many shockwaves and slamming into a nearby wall. The Vanica-Megicula combo found it hard to move as the passive mana radiating off of him locked them in place.

This-

Megicula's eyes went wide.

"Mana storm!!"

'To cause such a reaction in the world's mana, he's DANGEROUS!'

"GO!!"

Finding that the situation was becoming increasingly more disadvantageous to them, Megicula's interest rose even higher as she thrust her hand forward unleashing a torrent of rune strands his way.

But after having been bound once by the curse powered runes before, the moment the strands came close to him they were instantly diced into pieces by his [Breath of the Beast: Crazy Cutting] spell.

*BOOM!!*

Blitzing through the air and surging with immense power, he tightened his hand into a fist and punched out.

Faced with such an attack, the expression on Megicula/Vanica's face changed as they raised both arms to receive it.

*CRAACK!!*

Feeling the bones in their arms shatter and flying out uncontrollably. The body of the two broke through the sturdy palace wall and crashed into the city below cutting the ground open along the way.

*FWOOSH!!*

Surpassing the speed of light by several times, Grim appeared in front of the ragged devil host and executed a disgusting roundhouse kick to the head.

With her arms broken and them not healing fast enough, she had no choice but to take the kick head on as the ground beneath exploded and she was kicked through several buildings.
