Tensions rising

(A few minutes later)

Asami looked at Gon. She worried, very. He had just lost his friend, her friend, and was trying to be strong not just for him but for the organization he had made to protect Republic City and non-benders. Until now, she did not fully understand the burden that weighed down on him the moment that he had decided to take on the mantle of "Leader". He cared for his people and that meant everything to her and the other members of the group. He had brought them up from nothing and forged them into something that people could respect. Before that figure was Amon, the "oh so great leader" that would magically whisk bending away from the world and though she was against it, she sometimes would hope that he actually would do what he preached. She knew that it was an impossible goal but like many others, she had just secretly hoped that he would do it until Gon had set her straight. He had taught her that there was a path for non-benders- that they could fight. Asami would do anything to repay him for what he gave her

''Are you sure you want to go back to the Air Temple," Asami carefully inquired

"Yes," Gon said in a sure tone quickly wiping the tears from his cheeks.

"You know that you might be compromised," Asami told Gon, "Korra saw your face so I am asking again, Are you sure that you want to go back to the Air temple?"

"Yes!!" Gon stated with a fire in his eyes.

He had to talk to Korra. He had to make her understand what she had done. He did not care about anything else at the moment other than this.

She had betrayed him and she would pay.

"Hah," Asami sighed in defeat, "It looks like I can't stop you, just please promise me that you'll be ok."

Gon was not sure what to say once he heard Asami's words. He could not promise her anything after all if things got out of hand he would ultimately be facing a master air bender and an avatar with a mastery of a whole bunch of elements. He did not have a clue who would come out the winner.

"I do not care whether or not the promise is baseless, just say it," Asami begged.

"Ok, I promise," Gon relented before walking off into the distance.

(An hour later in The Northern Air Temple)

Korra had been waiting at the entrance of the Northern Air Temple for a few hours and was starting to think that Gon would never come back. She had decided to confide in Tenzin earlier and had later decided that it would be best that they both waited. They were unsure as to whether Gon would become volatile after his secret of being the hidden leader of the group Worthless had been brought to life. The fact that he had started to get nightmares had not helped with assessing Gon's mental. He seemed to be going through a trauma of some sort.

"What have you become Gon?" Korra thought.

Gon had changed. The fact that he had been keeping secrets had allowed Korra to confirm this fact. For weeks he had been acting different, the nightly shouts filled with terror, the sudden quietness, and the arguments but she had chosen to disregard these things because she loved him and believed that he would do nothing to harm her. Now she was not so sure hence why she brought Tenzin along. In her eyes he was no longer the boy that had protected her when she needed it the most, he had now become an unknown meaning he was dangerous but she would still try. She would save him from himself because she loved him. Whether that meant him going to jail for the rest of his life or him coming back to her, it did not matter. She would save him.

Tenzin saw the fiery looking in Korra's eyes and grew weary.

"I am growing too old for this!!!" Tenzin sighed.

He knew how much the girl cared for Gon and what she would be willing to do to save him as Gon had once done for her. He might not have liked the fact that Korra made him swear secrecy meaning that there was no backup if or at this point when things went sideways but he would still follow her through hell. She had grown on him and although he would never admit it out loud, she was like a daughter to him. It was the same for Gon but to a certain extent. The world needed the Avatar, not the Avatar's lover. The Avatar was needed to keep balance and to also continue his father's legacy. He looked towards the gate and saw a figure in the distance. He squinted his eyes to look and slowly but surely Gon was there.

"Gon, What are you doing here?" Tenzin inquired.

"I NEED TO TALK TO KORRA, "Gon simply said with malice in his voice.

Tenzin was taken aback by the amount of hate in Gon's voice. The wind started swirling around him as he said, "I can't let you do that!!"

"Is that is how you want it then fine," Gon replied before bending a large body of water until it formed a wall behind him.

Korra seeing how things were progressing quickly shouted, "Stop, I'll talk!!!"

Seeing as both of them still had not moved from their previous positions, she took the initiative to plead with the one who was most like to listen.

"Tenzin please," Korra begged.

"Ok, but if he attacks you then I will not hesitate," Tenzin continued.

Korra nodded to this inwardly thanking Tenzin for the support.

"You wanted to talk, let's talk!" Korra Commanded.

A/N (Authors Note)

This was one of the hardest chapters to write as a lot of what I planned had to be moved to the next chapter. I thought I could add a fight scene but it did not seem right. I was trying to get the different viewpoints about our Mc and how others saw him. Hope that I did well.

Please comment and don't forget power stones if you liked them.

If you have any ideas about future skills for the Mc and how the story could progress I would like to hear them

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
