Paul couldn't help but acknowledge the sheer might of Divine Reckoning Blade, one of the game's most formidable abilities. Its only drawback was its melee nature, but it was far from the only skill that tilted the game's balance. 

Each class had dozens of skills and various evolutions; at this point in the game, it was not easy to find the most powerful ones, let alone abandon conventional thinking and center your entire build around that ability.

If he had gone the more traditional Templar DPS path, he would have been a staff wielder and had a similar setup to Holly, having less damage and CC but more survivability.
