“I guess you can not have everything in one single person,” Sherry sighed as she wiped her hair with the towel. “No wonder people say no one is perfect.”

Sherry opened her mouth to continue her monologue but her eyes had somehow gained a new alertness to it.

Something was wrong inside her home!

Her ears twitched slightly as she focused her attention on the chillingly stagnant silence inside her house.

She was not a trained professional or anything of that sort, but as a doctor, she had trained herself to notice even the slightest change in her surrounding.

She did not want to risk the life of any patient in any of her surgery, hence, she could pick up the fluctuations in her patient’s vitals even before anyone could notice it. It had influenced her daily life too.

Although it was not loud enough, Sherry could pick up the sound of suppressed footsteps.

‘Didn’t that man say he was going to wait for me in the parking lot?’
