Reborn As The Villainess's Knight

Reinhardt, in his past life, he was a student who was brutally murdered. However, he had been reborn as the Knight of The Villainess from a Novel he had once read. In his last life, he didn't accomplish anything, in fact, the most notable thing he had ever done was killing his murder. But now, he had another chance. And this time, he was going to survive no matter what. Armed with the Heart of a God and knowledge from the novel he had once read, he would make sure to survive, and trample over anyone who sought to take what was his. *** I dont own the cover art, just smt I found on Pinterest I think. Let me know if you're the owner and want it down. This is my second novel, so you can expect an above average quality of writing. There will be romance but it'll be gradual, and he won't be dense or anything since that would be annoying. The MC might be a tad bit insane at times, and he won't be OP immediately. But he won't be losing too often. Anyways, enjoy! And check out my other novel, The Child Soldier's Reincarnation if you like my style of writing. Upload schedule: As of now, daily but I'll take a one day break whenever I need it.

Chapter 58 - A Chat With The Regressor [2]

A/N: I proof read this, but I'm ill and tired so maybe some typos. Just pop a comment if you find one I wasn't able to weed out, please.

"Ignition."

As I uttered that word, I felt the power that I constantly held back suddenly seep into my body. When I looked at a mirror, I noticed that my eyes had changed a little. My pupils had turned into slits, bringing my appearance to one closer to that of a Dragon.

"Arthur, let me show you what I've been hiding. To keep it brief, I was kidnapped and experimented on. Now I can do this."

Then, a small, white flame was born from the power of the Sun God's Heart. The flame danced and flickered, but the power behind was seriously high despite it's size. The heat radiating from it betrayed the flame's small appearance.

The flame spread across my arm, growing in power. I was bad at controlling them, it was as if the flames had a will of their own. However, compared to when I had first used them I could release a greater amount of power whilst maintaining some semblance of control.

My entire right arm was covered in those brilliant, white flames. If I let them go any further, I wasn't sure if I could make them go away.

The flames clouded my mind, and brought forward an insatiable desire to burn everything around me to the ground. I had a couple of ideas as to why they messed with my head so much.

My best guess was that it was the Sun God's emotions. There were cases of people receiving memories and acting different after organ transplants, I was probably feeling something like that.

When I looked at Arthurz expected confusion, shock of something like that. But was I saw on his face was glee. It was unmistakable. He was extremely happy.

"Train with me. I'll teach you how to use those flames! I won't tell anyone about your secret."

Arthur had closed in on me, his hands on my shoulders. The look on his face was a tad bit scary if I was being totally honest. I had never had someone come onto with so much... excitement, if that could describe what I was seeing from him.

"Wha..?"

Was all I could get out before he talked again.

"Those are the flames of a God right? Those Divine Flames belong to the progenitor of the Sun Tribe! I promise you I can teach you more about them than anyone else, just please let me teach me you!"

I instinctively jumped back, the guy knew way too damn much.

"How... do you know?"

His eyes widened, and he cleared his throat.

"I uh... happen to be very knowledgeable about the powers of God's. You won't believe me, but those who wield the power of God's need to protected and cultivated into powerful Awakened, because an... enemy to this planet will come."

I the feigned confusion. I knew that the demon race would invade, but that wasn't exactly something that was incredibly well known.

"Sure.."

Arthur sighed, and looked at me.

"Demon's. You know about them, don't you? Well, uh... they're the enemy I'm talking about. I don't care if you don't think what I'm saying is true, well no I'd rather you did. "

'Wait, this might be a good opportunity to get some idea of the Demon's strength, since I obviously don't know the full extent of their strength.'

"Why would they invade, there's Class 1 Awakened who can topple nations and even Class 0 Awakened who's power breaks the scale. Take the principal, how the hell do you kill him when he manipulates life on a literal level."

Arthur looked away.

"That's what I thought too. But, there's an existence called a 'Demon Lord', there's 7 of them. Sure, the old man might kill one, two, or even three. But you really think they'd go after him one by one after something like that? The old man's an indisputed monster, but what the hell can he do if two monsters on his level attack him at once?"

'Ah. Right. That's how the principal died. The guy got, as some would say, jumped. Even a monster can't do anything if four other monsters gang up on him.'

I sighed, once I had finished changing I began to walk out of the room.

"Fine. Talk to me about it later."

And with that, I went to my next class.

I watched Reinhardt leave the room, then I collapsed onto the floor, and looked up at the ceiling.

'Oh my God... How does he have that? Why does he have the flames of the man who killed more Demon's than anyone else. I'm sure that monster didn't come to the Academy. So why... Why does Reinhardt Hyperius have the Divine Flame that terrorised every Demon Lord?'

Those white flames were wielded by a man, or rather a monster. A monster who wielded nothing but those white flames and regular physical enhancement.

That monster was the only reason we ever got close to sinking our fangs into the Demon King.

'Perhaps Reinhardt and that guy are related by blood? That guy was a monster, but not one with regeneration. Otherwise, he wouldn't have had such a grotesque appearance.'

The monster that wielded those Divine Flames didn't have those Draconic Eyes either. Well, he didn't really have eyes. Or a face. He was like a mangled corpse that somehow fought.

'But, that regenerating guy can wield the same flames as the man I know. I can tell. I've seen many flames, but none have been that brilliant white. None have been like that monster's, not until now.'

The flame that was once called 'The Flame Of Liberation', 'The Flame Of Extinction' and so many other things. Now, that flame belongs to Reinhardt Hyperius.

And I'd be damned if I didn't turn him into a blade capable or fighting at least a few Demon Lords at once.
