Let me know if you're the owner and want it down. This is my second novel, so you can expect an above average quality of writing. There will be romance but it'll be gradual, and he won't be dense or anything since that would be annoying. The MC might be a tad bit insane at times, and he won't be OP immediately. But he won't be losing too often. Anyways, enjoy! And check out my other novel, The Child Soldier's Reincarnation if you like my style of writing. Upload schedule: As of now, daily but I'll take a one day break whenever I need it.

Chapter 53 - First Class [3]

After a little while, Adrienne and Arthur could now bear to look at how I held my sword. Supposedly, the way I was holding it before meant I was losing out on a bunch of power in my swings, and on top of that it was supposedly a very awkward stance since it limited my vision a bunch and made it hard to defend.

Though, they ultimately decided that being able to block wasn't exactly something I needed to worry about since regenerating was an option.

Adrienne stood a few dozen steps away from me, smiling she drew her sword.

"Reinhardt, don't hold back. You're an inexhaustible freak, so it's not like you need to conserve energy for the moment."

I nodded my head, and began to enhance my body and weapon with Mana. Then, I activated my Blood Manipulation and enhanced myself even further.

And so, I moved at top speed, closing the distance between us in seconds. Then, tightening my grip on my sword, I swung it down with all my might, however Adrienne dodged and looked down at me, dissapointed.

"Is that actually all you had in mind? What now?"

Then, I saw her leg moving towards my face. The fact that I could see her moving meant that she was holding back considerably. But I didn't have enough time to move my arms, and I wasn't sure if moving away from her would be a good idea.

So, I decided to let some of my blood permeate through my skin, and I hardened it to its utmost limit and used that blood to coat the part of my face that would be hit. When her leg landed on my face, the bloody armour that I had made cracked but ultimately, it had diminished the power behind the blow greatly.

Since I couldn't regenerate as I had to maintain my weapon enhancement, I controlled the shattered solidified blood and willed it to go back into my body and operate as normal.

"Oh wow. Smart, you made sure it shattered to stop yourself from sustaining too much damage. If you had poured enough blood to allow to withstand my attack without shattering, the majority of the force behind my attack would've reached you. Like a bicycles helmet, right?"

'As if I can produce enough blood to stop one of your blows without having access to my Arcane Healing..'

"It's a shame you can't heal whilst enhancing your blade."

As she spoke, I lifted my sword off the ground and swung at her with an upwards arc. The beast lady seemed to know what I'd do before I did it, and dodged accordingly.

"Too predictable."

Then, I let go of my greatsword and it spun in the air due to the momentum it carried.

'Now, I don't need to worry about my weapon being targeted.'

When I deactivated weapon enhancement, my weapon wouldn't realistically be able to withstand blows from Awakened. Because of this, it was when my weapon was most vulnerable. But, if my weapon was airborne she wouldn't be able to attack it while I was right infront of her!

And so, I healed the minor damage I had sustained from the earlier exchange and created an enormous wave of blood that was instantly condensed into a bullet. And so, making a gun with my fingers, I aimed and fired the bullet of blood that had been compressed to its absolute limit.

There was a small shockwave as the bullet travelled towards the beastwoman at incredible speeds. However, it wasn't enough to catch the class 1 Awakened off guard. It was as if she could see the future, it was as if she was prepared for it.

Because, even before the bullet had left my fingers, she had positioned herself to cut it. And so, as the bullet raced towards her she sliced it in half, causing it to fire into two different directions.

'What? How did she do that. I wouldn't be surprised if she could dodge it, but cutting it in half means she knew exactly where to cut it to make measure it wouldn't end up hitting her.'

"Well. You're not bad, that's for sure. Creative and powerful, but so ridiculously inexperienced for someone who's a Knight."
