Reborn As The Villainess's Knight

Reinhardt, in his past life, he was a student who was brutally murdered. However, he had been reborn as the Knight of The Villainess from a Novel he had once read. In his last life, he didn't accomplish anything, in fact, the most notable thing he had ever done was killing his murder. But now, he had another chance. And this time, he was going to survive no matter what. Armed with the Heart of a God and knowledge from the novel he had once read, he would make sure to survive, and trample over anyone who sought to take what was his. *** I dont own the cover art, just smt I found on Pinterest I think. Let me know if you're the owner and want it down. This is my second novel, so you can expect an above average quality of writing. There will be romance but it'll be gradual, and he won't be dense or anything since that would be annoying. The MC might be a tad bit insane at times, and he won't be OP immediately. But he won't be losing too often. Anyways, enjoy! And check out my other novel, The Child Soldier's Reincarnation if you like my style of writing. Upload schedule: As of now, daily but I'll take a one day break whenever I need it.

Caelus Tempest, his power unmatched in the Empire. But, I didn't actually think that his power be so... absolute.

He had just vaporised an entire mountain without putting in any real effort. Even nuclear bombs couldn't actually vaporise mountains, they could blow the to bits depending on the size of the mountain and the power of the bomb but they couldn't vaporise them like Caelus had just done.

Mere moments ago, Caelus had said something about wanting to show off, and then, the clouds began to darken and rain was called forth. And then, a massive bolt of lightning struck the mountain. The lightning bolt wasn't normal, it was abnormally powerful and faster than it shouldve been.

As a matter of fact, when he used the attack, I could barely see it.

'Can I even... get stronger than this monster?'

Then, I took a deep breath before speaking.

"Sir Tempest...how are you flying?"

Caelus seemed to be a rather amicable man, but I wasn't on a first name basis with him. Very few would dare to call him by his first name, and even fewer would dare to leave out the 'Sir' out of fear of annoying him.

However, I wasn't doing it out of fear. I was doing it out of respect for the strongest. Now, I highly doubted he'd get annoyed at an amnseiac who was teenager and who was also the Knight of the Imperial Princess.

Caelus was close to the Princess, in the original novel he was like a big brother or something to her. It was for that reason that he was the one who had come to save me, otherwise, he would be away on missions of a wide variety.

Then, I blinked and when I opened my eyes me and the other Knight were on the floor.

"Well, it's not a satisfactory answer but I just can. Well, that's not really right. Some Awakened just unlock the ability to fly, I'd try teach you but I can't really. It's not something people can teach, you just need to be able to understand how the process works. It's a pretty rare ability as well so chances are you won't be able to gain the ability to fly."

'When... did he move us here? He's fast. Weirdly fast. Is a human supposed to be able to move that fast?'

Flight. When Caelus used it, I vaguely understood how it worked, I couldn't put it into words. But, I sort of understood the process of using Mana to fly.

Then the Knight beside me spoke up.

"Commander, I'm sure you didn't bother to ask the researchers since you were enraged after talking to the first one. But, apparently after whatever happened to him, he became an amnesiac. But, he also didn't know how to use Mana till a bit over a week ago."

It was now Caelus's turn to be surprised, he looked at me wide eyed and crouched to meet my gaze as I was at on ground.

"Then.. is the reason that your hand was sore..."

The Knight smiled bitterly, as if disappointed.

"Yeah, it was him. Granted, I wasn't trying that hard but it's definitely that shouldn't normally happen"

Caelus smiled, as if he found a new toy.

"If he can make a rookie Knight like you experience pain with only a week's worth of experience. Then, he's... probably on par or stronger than our Princess. I heard that aside from your Mana Capacity, you weren't that impressive. But, it looks like you're a monster in your own right."

Then he muttered something about a second disciple under his breath before smiling again.

"Let's go, let's go home."

While he was mumbling about going home, I was thinking about how Caelum was flying before.

'I think... I can do it. Yeah, if I see it again, I think I can do it.'

And so, I looked at Caelum in the eyes, I wanted to be able to fly. The conveniences that Awakened with the ability to fly had was immense. My ability to scout and my mobility would both significantly increase if I learnt to fly.

"Sir Tempest, how are we going back?"

He smiled and then picked me and the Knight up, it was a bit embarrassing but I couldn't complain. The convenience overwrote the embarrassment.

'And with this... I can spend some time trying to understand how he flies. Oh right, when we get back to the Imperial Capital, they'll probably ask me what happened... I wonder, would I be better of lying or telling the truth?'
