Chapter 7 - Rest

Me and Luna are walking through the main road that connects the Crimsonheart's residence and the nearest town the "Town of Genesis".

The sun is also starting to rise, emitting a radiant light that is slowly starting to illuminate the beautiful land and forest.

While we we're walking, fatigue started to accumulate to my entire body. Perhaps I overwork myself during those hours of fending mobs and walking that the pain in my body is starting to come out.

"Luna, how are you feeling?" I asked.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is tired; Luna also worked herself full-time. She's helping me fend the mobs for her training, harvesting 『Mana Fragments』 for hours, not to mention the pressure she's been feeling since yesterday morning starts when I met her. I wouldn't be surprised if she's more tired than I am right now.

"I'm still okay master, I-"

While in the middle of her words, the tired Luna started stumble in exhaustion. I immediately support her body before she falls the ground.

"Don't force yourself, you've been working hard since yesterday without a bit of rest you know."

"I... "

Luna made a pained expression. When I looked at her, I can see her eyes is starting to close, perhaps blinded from the sunlight but It's mostly because she's tired.

I helped the tired Luna and carried her on my back. I didn't feel any restrained from her but instead, she instinctively wrapped her arms around my neck for her not to fall.

"Master... I'm sorry..."

"No worries. Let me take care of the rest"

Finally reaching her limits, Luna didn't talk after that. As for my next course of action...

If I let her sleep in the maid's room, Luna will be forced to work again till night because it's this time the maids start to begin their work. It would be bad If my family knew that she was absent throughout the day; worst, she could be killed by my family.

I definitely don't want that.

(6:00AM, Sun fully risen.)

We then successfully went back through the Mansion. Trying not to get seen by the maids, I sneaked through the front door of the Mansion supporting Luna.

I then wait in front of the door and wait for other maids to come. After a few minutes, a maid passed by at the front door.

I purposely let myself get caught and to make it more convincing, I grabbed Luna's neck while pushing her (Gently) inside the Mansion (Act). Forgive me for this Luna...

"!! M-master Sai, Good Morning... It's seems you woke-up earlier than expected..."

I purposely made myself get caught by a maid grabbing Luna's neck to make it seems like I wake-up early and took Luna in the Dorm to do something from her. Doing this, I can make Luna sleep in my room peacefully.

"Yeah...."

I gave the Maid who is talking to me a cold response. I acted coldly to the Maid to not make myself suspicious.

It would be bad if the Maid tells my family If they knew something was amiss.

"I'll be borrowing this girl for a while. I'm not going to eat breakfast and will eat my lunch late, probably afternoon. Please say it to my family hence they ask you, understand?"

"I understand, Master Sai."

"Also, ready my lunch and double its amount this afternoon in case I got hungry."

Perhaps Misunderstanding my intention, the Maid look at me with a scornful face, biting her lips but instantly replaced it with a blank expression and bowed to me.

"Yes Master Sai, Well then..."

After bowing, she leaves the hallway and went her way outside.

Letting out a sigh of relief, I went upstairs supporting Luna towards my room upstairs as my room is on the second floor of the Mansion.

After entering my room, I locked the door and put the exhausted Luna on my bed.

My bed is a "King-sized bed" considering I sleep alone. So a two-people sleeping on a large bed won't make much of a problem.

After putting Luna to bed, I also went after.

I know it looks inappropriate sleeping together with the opposite gender. Unfortunately, I'm too tired to care for those types of things so just did what I think either way. Finally feeling the comfort, Luna fell asleep instantly after I just put her to bed. I covered her with a large blanket that I picked up and also went inside the blanket and before I knew it, I also started to fell asleep.
